Singaporean powerlifter Farhanna Farid has broken her own world record for the 10th time since 2022.
At the 2025 IPF Classic Open World Championships held in Chemnitz, Germany, she lifted 209.5kg in the women's 52kg class on 10 June 2025.
Her record-breaking lift was captured in a video posted by her sponsor, SBD Apparel, on social media.
The video was later reposted to Farhanna's own Instagram account on the same day.
Following her successful lift, Farhanna ran to hug her husband and handler, James Barcelo, in a moment of celebration.
A total of 14 powerlifters are representing Singapore at the competition, which runs from 8 to 15 June, according to Powerlifting Singapore's Instagram.
The team includes both seasoned athletes and first-time competitors.
Despite the appearance of ease, Farhanna revealed that preparation was challenging.
She admitted struggling with grip and balance on attempts above 200kg during her training.
'Honestly, I feel more relief than happiness cos I wasn't having the best prep,' she shared. 'With so much support around me, it was hard to not give it my all and expect myself to perform. Pressure is a privilege, isn't it?'
Farhanna first set the world record in June 2022 with a 197kg lift.
She has since surpassed her own records multiple times, including lifts of 200.5kg, 203.5kg, and 208kg, even while recovering from a back injury.

‘No faking' about Oakmont says injured Tiger Woods ahead of US Open
Tiger Woods warned US Open golfers in a social media video on June 11 about the formidable Oakmont course.. PHOTO: REUTERS 'No faking' about Oakmont says injured Tiger Woods ahead of US Open OAKMONT, United States - Tiger Woods, a 15-time major winner sidelined after rupturing his left Achilles tendon in March, warned US Open golfers in a social media video on June 11 there's 'no faking' about Oakmont. The 49-year-old American, a three-time US Open champion, underwent surgery to repair the injury but has no timetable for his return to competitive golf as he misses the US Open for the fourth time in five years. In an Instagram post, Woods gave this week's US Open field some advice about coping with the deep rough, tricky bunkers and fast greens of Oakmont, as well as a warning. 'You just have to hit the golf ball better,' Woods said. 'There is no faking about Oakmont. 'The golf course is big, yes, but it's just – there's no way around it. You just have to hit the golf ball well and it favors longer hitters, just because of the degrees, the complexes.' Being in the fairway to properly approach the greens is crucial as well, Woods said. 'It just helps so much to be coming with a shorter iron, to be able to sock the ball,' he said. 'It's about missing the ball on correct spots... because if you don't, it's horrible.' Woods shared second at the 2007 US Open at Oakmont but missed the 2016 edition of the event on the same course following back surgery the year before. Woods has not made the cut at the US Open since he shared 21st in 2019, the same year he won his most recent major title at the Masters. Who Is Lia Anthony? Red Sox Top Prospect Roman Anthony's Smoking Hot Sister Steals the Shows During Tampa Bay Match
Baseball's No.1 prospect Roman Anthony celebrated his first-ever hit for the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday. However, it was his sister in the crowd who grabbed more eyeballs. Anthony was finally called up to the big leagues this week and made a strong impression in Boston's 3-1 win over Tampa Bay, doubling in two runs for his team at Fenway Park. While the game aired live on NESN, many Red Sox fans appeared to be just as curious about Anthony's family—especially his sister—as they were about seeing their rising star perform. In the top of the second inning, the camera zoomed in on Anthony's 22-year-old sister, Lia Anthony. Smoking Hot Sister Lia was sitting in the crowd when the camera panned at her and, as expected, social media quickly lit up with excitement. "I'd like to be the first to welcome Roman Anthony's sister to Boston!" one wrote on X, and others quickly followed. "Lord have mercy," another obsessed fan added, while a third wrote: "What's her @? Asking for a friend..." Lia was at the game alongside her father Chris, mother Lori, and brother Anthony Anthony. The family even took a photo with iconic Red Sox star David Ortiz. Lia, who is 22 years old, recently completed her degree in Human Development and Family Sciences from Florida State University. As of Tuesday night, she had a little over 5,000 Instagram followers—a number likely to rise significantly after her unexpected spotlight on national television. Her recent posts highlight several holidays, including a getaway to Aruba with friends. Stealing the Limelight At the end of April, Lia took a trip to Nashville shortly after celebrating her graduation from Florida State University. Reflecting on her college years, she wrote, "Thank you Florida State for the best four years of my life." Meanwhile, her brother Roman is just beginning what could be a remarkable journey in Major League Baseball. Touted as the top prospect in the sport, fans had been eagerly waiting for him to move up from Triple-A. He finally got the call on Monday and made his MLB debut that same day. Although he didn't record a hit in his first game, he delivered a double on Tuesday—his first big-league hit. Roman is expected to return to center field for the final game in the series against the Rays.
