Gene Simmons is set to embark on tour dates with his solo band, and he's offering his fans a dream job: the chance to be his personal assistant and roadie for a day. The only catch is that you have to pay him.
The KISS legend kicks off his Spring US tour with his solo band on April 3rd in Anaheim, California (get tickets here). The exclusive meet-and-greet fan experience runs a whopping $12,495 and is available to only one big spender per concert date.

Simmons has always been vigorously entrepreneurial, so it's not too surprising to see him offer a package in which he gets paid five figures for the extra help. That said, the description on his website doesn't sound like too much work.
Those who take the dive on the fan package can bring one guest and will be 'on the GS Band Team Crew for the entire day,' first meeting up at the hotel to go over the day's plan. You will share a meal with Gene (at the hotel or backstage), help with load in, sit in on soundcheck, hang out backstage, and Simmons will bring you out onstage at some point during the show.
The experience also has some physical swag, including a signed setlist and other items, a VIP backstage laminate, a crew hat/shirt, and a signed Gene Simmons bass used during a KISS rehearsal, which at least somewhat justifies the gargantuan $12,500 price tag for the experience.
There is also a 'bass only' experience for about half the price that doesn't include the assistant/roadie commitments. Visit Simmons' website for more details.

Frontman Records With Classic '70s Rock Band For First Time in 45 Years

Frontman Records With Classic '70s Rock Band For First Time in 45 Years originally appeared on Parade. An iconic 1970s rock band announced this week that they reunited in the studio with their former frontman, 45 years since the last time they all recorded an album together. The Doobie Brothers dropped a new album called Walk This Road on Friday, June 6, and they brought back the iconic Michael McDonald, who was last with the band full-time for the 1980 album One Step Closer. McDonald was a lead vocalist for the Doobie Brothers from 1975 to 1982, then appeared with the band sporadically over the years, but has not been on one of their albums since One Step Closer. The 73-year-old Hall of Fame vocalist also famously performed with Steely Dan, Toto, Christopher Cross and Kenny Loggins. RELATED: Iconic '60s Rocker Talks Wild Times With Elton John, John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix and More McDonald reunites with Doobie Brothers founding members Patrick Simmons (guitar, lead/backing vocals), Tom Johnston (guitar, piano, lead/backing vocals) and John McFee (guitar, steel guitar, backing vocals) to go on tour starting August 4 in order to promote Walk This Road, their 16th studio album. The album also features Mavis Staples and Mick Fleetwood. You can pre-order the 10-track album here. In an interview, McDonald told USA Today that times sure have changed in the recording studio due to all of the technological advances. "The technology has changed, for better or worse… The new procedure is interesting. As you're writing the song, you're recording it into a file, and that is the basis you use for the track, even if it's just a feeling," said McDonald. "So it's kind of fun to feel like the song hasn't had to morph into something else. Some of my fondest memories of being in the studio are the first time I heard the band play 'Takin' It To the Streets.' I was like, wow! When the band started playing it, it took on a whole new life. RELATED: Rock Icon, 78, Being Honored by Trisha Yearwood and James Taylor in Concert About the upcoming tour, Simmons told USA Today that they do realize they are in the 70s now and that makes performing live and the grind of a tour a bit harder, but they've been preparing for it. "I've got a hill I live on and walk it several times a day, and am always working on a project. Not that that counts as calisthenics. But I try to always stay in motion and on the road try to get out and walk every day. We're all in our 70s now. I used to think that was old. I do feel it, but it's hard to believe we're out here doing it at this age, and in my head, I'm still 16. You have to think beyond your age. It's a life adventure," said Simmons. The Doobie Brothers released a string of hits starting in 1972. They are best known for "Listen to the Music," "Jesus Is Just Alright," "Long Train Running'", "China Grove," "Black Water," "Takin' It to the Streets" and "What a Fool Believes." 🎬 SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬 Later this summer, McDonald, Johnston and Simmons will all be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in the Performing Songwriters category. Sharon Osbourne Booted a Band Off Lineup of Final Black Sabbath Concert

The post Sharon Osbourne Booted a Band Off Lineup of Final Black Sabbath Concert appeared first on Consequence. Sharon Osbourne has revealed that she booted a band off the lineup of the upcoming 'Back to the Beginning' concert featuring the final performances of Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne. The wife and manager of Ozzy told Metal Hammer that an argument with the undisclosed act's manager led to her decision to disinvite the band from playing the historic all-day concert event being held July 5th at Villa Park in Birmingham, England. 'I had a huge, huge to-do with a manager over this celebration for Ozzy and Sabbath,' revealed Sharon. 'And it was probably the worst way I've felt in years. And I don't care what this person says about me, thinks about it, because he doesn't know me. And he's now going around making up bullshit lies because I threw his band off the bill.' She continued, 'I don't care what people say. Because do you know what? I don't love them. I care about people who love me, what they say about me. You can't care what an industry says, because you don't love them, so how can it hurt you? It doesn't.' When asked by Metal Hammer if it was Iron Maiden — as Sharon famously feuded with singer Bruce Dickinson on the 2005 edition of Ozzfest — she replied, 'Oh god, no. Ozzy only has respect for the guys in Maiden. And he didn't even know what Bruce was doing [during Ozzfest]. I never told him, until the night that it happened when it was the last show, and he just looked at me and goes, 'You're terrible.'' Meanwhile, there was speculation that Sharon was referring to Tool, whose name was conspicuously missing from the promotion of the recently announced paid livestream of the 'Back to the Beginning' concert. However, that turned out to be a design oversight, and Tool's name has since been added. In addition to Sabbath and Ozzy, the concert will feature performances from Tool, Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Slayer, Pantera, Alice in Chains, and dozens of other notable rock and metal acts. As mentioned, a global livestream is available to purchase for $29.99.
