If you're a fan of hearty Southern breakfasts and long poolside brunches, we've got some delicious news: Big Bad Breakfast (BBB) is officially back and serving Inlet Beach!
At the entrance of 30A and just before the first light in Rosemary Beach, the family-friendly spot has reopened its doors after a temporary closure. The shutdown came suddenly last November, when renovations on the complex housing the restaurant forced a six-month pause in service.
'We had about an hour's notice,' says Josh Smith, local owner and franchisee of both the Inlet Beach and Miramar Beach BBB locations. 'It was a whirlwind, but we made the most of it. More importantly, we made it through to the other side and are excited to be back.'
We're excited they're back, too.

Big Bad Breakfast's break allowed the team to deep clean the space, add fresh paint, and complete a few thoughtful updates to the interior, which helped maintain the down-home diner charm guests know and love.
One of the best pieces of news about the reopening is that BBB moved many folks over to the Miramar location and ultimately retained 85% of its workforce, including its trusted General Manager and Kitchen Manager. That means regulars can expect the same warm welcomes, impeccable service, and—perhaps most importantly—the same execution of the mouthwatering menu they've come to expect.
Big Bad Breakfast is known for being a scratch kitchen, which means nothing is phoned in. The biscuits, jellies, and salad dressings are made in-house, and produce arrives fresh daily — a major reason the fresh-squeezed orange juice always hits just right.
The eatery is also proudly part of the Fatback Pig Project, an initiative that sources one-of-a-kind meats like sausage, bacon, and chicken that you won't find anywhere else. Its long-standing partnership with Louisiana's Tabasco Company also gives it a unique edge. The 'spicy bacon' option is seasoned with a proprietary rub you'll dream about long after your last bite.
In an era where many restaurants responded to inflation by raising prices, BBB has held firm in order to stay true to customer expectations. And that's really who this restaurant is all about. As Josh puts it, 'Word of mouth is great for advertising, but you really 'meet your guests' on their plates.'
So whether you're craving a perfectly cooked Jack Benny, a biscuit slathered in housemade gravy, or a plate of that signature bacon, Big Bad Breakfast in Inlet Beach is open, energized, and ready to welcome you back.
Local Tip: Skip the Line
If you're planning a weekend visit or looking to jumpstart your day, take advantage of BBB's 'call-ahead' seating by phone or on Yelp! While traditional reservations are not allowed, the Inlet Beach team is exceptionally skilled at managing its dual-options waitlist — something many restaurants in the area cannot claim. Saving time and avoiding the wait without sacrificing the laid-back experience? Yes, please!

Pinterest Down 12.5% in Three Months: Should You Avoid PINS Stock?

Pinterest, Inc. PINS declined 12.5% over the past three months against the Internet - Software 's growth of 2.4%.The stock has also underperformed the Zacks Computer & Technology sector and the S&P 500's growth of 4.5% and 1%, respectively. However, it has outperformed peers like Snap Inc. SNAP but lagged Meta Platforms, Inc. META over this period. Snap has declined 15.5%, while META has fallen 1.1% during this period. Key Growth Catalysts for PINS Pinterest serves a wide range of end markets, including retail, consumer packaged goods, travel, financial services, and auto. The company is actively seeking to expand into new markets to increase its user engagement. Pinterest recently formed a collaboration with the championship-winning WNBA team, New York Liberty. Through this partnership, Pinterest aims to bring exclusive content and in-game experiences to its platform, inspiring fans and expanding community outreach. Interest in women's basketball is increasing steadily, and this collaboration will allow PINS to tap into the growing audience base in the WNBA. This will likely open up monetization opportunities in the sports marketing space from various athletic wear companies and fitness organizations. The company's focus on improving operational rigor and incorporating sophisticated AI models to enhance relevancy and personalization is likely to bring long-term benefits. It also emphasizes building new ad tools and formats to help grow the scope of monetization on the platform. This will enable advertisers to measure the results and conversion rates, which will improve their decision-making. Its newly added visual search feature is expected to provide a more personalized discovery experience to its user base. Instead of finding the right keywords, the tool allows users to use images as their search starting point. A refinement bar enables the user to filter based on color, style and fabric. Its Visual Language Models and industry-leading multimodal embedding models empower users to find exact content through a combination of text and image. Integration of such leading-edge generative AI tools will likely boost engagement on the platform. Management's focus on enhancing monetization opportunities is driving revenue growth. In the first quarter of 2025, Shopping ad revenues in the international market grew three times faster than overall revenue growth in those regions. Advertisers and retailers are benefiting from enhanced ad efficiency and campaign performance by using Pinterest's AI-powered Performance+ suite. The company is also integrating AI capabilities to improve productivity across operations. Major Challenges for PINS Pinterest is heavily dependent on advertising as its primary source of revenue. Any adverse changes in the advertising industry, shift in advertiser preferences, or economic downturns can significantly affect the company's financial performance. Although the company recorded 49% growth in ad impressions in the first quarter, ad pricing declined 22% year over year, owing to lower ad pricing in Pinterest's newly expanded international markets. The company is facing intense competition from various media companies such as Meta (including Facebook and Instagram), Google (including YouTube), Snap, Reddit, TikTok and X. Many of its competitors are larger and have significant financial resources. To fend off the competition, Pinterest has to continuously increase its investments in new tool development, which is putting pressure on its margins. In the first quarter of 2025, Total costs and expenses were $890.5 million, up from $794.4 million in the year-ago quarter. On a GAAP basis, research and development expenses rose to $331.7 million from $280.3 million. Macroeconomic volatility is impacting some subsectors of the consumer-packaged goods vertical. Moreover, various Asia-based e-commerce retailers are lowering ad spend in the U.S. market, owing to tariff changes. These factors remain a major concern for the company. Estimate Revision Trend of PINS Pinterest is currently witnessing a downtrend in estimate revisions. Earnings estimates for PINS for 2025 have moved down 1.62% to $1.82 over the past 60 days, while the same for 2026 has decreased 2.3% to $2.12. The negative estimate revision portrays bearish sentiments about the stock's growth potential. Key Valuation Metric of PINS From a valuation standpoint, Pinterest appears to be relatively cheaper compared to the industry and below its mean. Going by the price/sales ratio, the company shares currently trade at 4.8 forward sales, lower than 5.44 for the industry and lower than the stock's mean of 5.21. End Note Pinterest is witnessing strong monthly active user growth across all regions. Strong emphasis on enhancing shoppability and monetization potential across the platform and the incorporation of advanced AI-integrated tools to support advertisers and retailers are tailwinds. Strategic collaboration to venture into a new market segment is positive. However, macroeconomic factors, geopolitical volatility and tariff changes are impacting ad spend in some regions. Growing operating expenses to support the expansion of domestic and international operations are weighing on margins. Stiff competition from other consumer internet companies remains a headwind. With a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold), PINS appears to be treading in the middle of the road, and new investors could be better off if they trade with caution. Meet Shelby Mullins of Studio Mullins Fine Jewelry

Share with your friends! Pinterest LinkedIn Email Flipboard Reddit In 2020, Shelby Mullins had her dream job working for her favorite interior designer. But downtime during the pandemic made her reassess where she was headed. As fate would have it, Shelby was also planning her wedding. She found herself reconstructing her childhood Add-A-Pearl necklace into a bracelet for her big day and helping to design her own engagement ring. Since then, Shelby launched her fine jewelry brand, Studio Mullins, and has made a name for herself recreating heirloom jewelry and offering custom design services. Meet Shelby — and keep scrolling for a peek at her stunning pieces! Pin First, tell us about yourself. I was born and raised in Chattanooga, TN, attended Alabama for college, and found my way to Birmingham for interior design. My husband went to UAB for medical school and is currently completing his residency; we have been here for about eight years now. Getting into jewelry design was really about finding my medium as an artist. My grandfather was a lawyer and an amazing local artist in Chattanooga, specializing in oil painting. He taught me how to paint, and I took classes throughout school. I loved painting, but I think I was better at drawing. I majored in interior design, where I was able to apply these skills in hand renderings, and I went on to work in both interior design and interior architecture. My background in custom furniture production, cabinetry, and millwork drawing, along with my interest in art and Victorian-era jewelry, gave me the tools to do everything I am doing today. Pin How did you find your way to founding Studio Mullins? When I was planning my wedding, we worked with a wonderful local jeweler on my engagement ring, and I discovered a whole new world I had no idea about. I love to learn. When I discover something new that intrigues me, I dive right in. I decided to enroll in the Gemological Institute of America and used my side interior design projects to pay for school. I am now a Graduate Diamond. Starting the business in 2020 with $300 in my bank account, I couldn't jump right into creating a brand. But I had a plan and knew where I wanted this to go, so I began reworking some of my own pieces and doing small custom jobs. Those eventually led to engagement and wedding bands. The more jobs we got, the more we honed our skillsets, and the closer we got to our collection goal. Pin How does your background in interior design and architecture influence your jewelry design? We find pockets and opportunities to incorporate architectural and interior design concepts into our work. You'll repeatedly see the ideas of claw prongs, rounded edges, two-tone metals, repeating lover's knot motifs, scattered pavé diamond designs, and so much more that help identify our brand. Within the same fluidity, understanding how to draw and construct designs is equally important, and I owe that knowledge to my former experience. What's the biggest challenge you encounter when working on heirloom recreations? Damages. While diamonds are hard, they certainly are not invincible. We have often found minor chips and damages on heirloom stones, especially well-worn pieces that have been passed down a few generations. Often, these damages are hidden under prongs we cannot see until we unmount the piece entirely. That's why we always recommend having an appraisal and insurance on it beforehand. In most cases, we can totally work around it and even hide it, which will protect it in the future. Recently, we had an emerald with surface damage. We had a cutter recut for us without losing any overall shape diameters. We will always set or advise in your best interest. Pin What's on the horizon for Studio Mullins? In spring 2024, we launched our collection and have continued to grow it ever since. We are releasing new pieces in the coming weeks and should be completing 20 new styles before the end of 2025. We are also in the process of expanding our collection reach and hope to be in some retail spaces soon. As always, we continue our bespoke services anywhere from heirloom recreations to engagement rings — always trying to add our own unique touch. What do you like to do when you're not working? I love constantly flipping through Pinterest. I get so inspired looking at architecture, interiors, and gardens. Besides that, you can usually find me on a walk with my husband or a friend. I love that time to talk and catch up. And I always like to leave my phone behind. Pin Who or what is inspiring you right now? I discovered a multimedia artist named Sheema Muneer relatively recently. Her art is so textured, unique, and abstract, and I absolutely love it. Looking at her creative process is so inspiring. People like her always make me want to step out of my box more and more. What is your best piece of advice? Being great at what you do isn't necessarily enough to succeed. Being seen for what you do is a way to look at success from a different perspective. From the work you are doing and putting out there for the world, do you feel seen for who you are? Each of us is so unique and beautiful, and that is something worth showing. That means not being afraid to be authentically yourself as a brand. It means showing your aesthetic, your designs, what catches YOUR eye, not what you think catches others' eyes. Your brand won't be for everyone, but if you are true to who you are and what you do, you will find your crowd, your peers, your clients … and you will find so much more happiness creating what you truly love and feels right to you rather than trying to cater to everyone. If you feel happy doing your work, I think that's a job well done. This lesson can apply on many personal levels, too! Aside from faith, family, and friends, name three things you can't live without. Crisp and clean sheets to dive into at night, candles that make me feel peaceful, and Nancy Meyers' movies. Those are my little luxuries in life. Pin Lightning Round! Last delicious local meal: The steak frites at Chez Fonfon Favorite place to vacation: We don't get to do a whole lot of traveling right now with my husband in residency, but we went to the English Countryside a few years ago, and the second we can do it again, we will. I could sit in those gardens all day long! Your go-to gift to give: Maison Louis Marie Candles Favorite recent TV show binge: If I could binge Your Friends and Neighbors, I would. But for now, I wait patiently for Friday to roll by so my husband and I can watch what happens next. Book(s) on your bedside table: I usually sketch at night, but lately, I have been reading The Motherload by Sarah Hoover. I have more on my list to read, as I am currently expecting my first baby. NATO floats cybersecurity to be included in new spending target

Article content (Bloomberg) — NATO proposed including expenditures on cybersecurity and activities related to border and coastal security to qualify for the military alliance's new defense-related spending target of 1.5% of GDP. Article content Article content NATO started negotiations with countries on what will be allowed under its new spending target that it plans to adopt at a June summit, according to a document shared with member countries and people familiar with the matter. The total spending target will be 5% of GDP, with 3.5% on hard defense expenditures and 1.5% on defense-related outlays. Article content Article content Other expenditures that may qualify for the 1.5% portion will be protecting critical infrastructure spending, non-defense intelligence agencies and space-related activities, according to the document. Article content Article content A broader definition of what qualifies as a defense-related outlay would make it easier for countries to meet the target, with some nations lobbying to have expenditures such as counter-terrorism to be included. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said this week that he expected alliance members to approve the new 5% target. Article content Talks are expected to continue in NATO's policy and planning committee Wednesday, according to the document. The proposal is subject to change and will form the basis for discussion among alliance members, said the people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity. Article content Article content Infrastructure expenditures, particularly for the purpose of military mobility, will likely be included, according to the document. Those outlays will have to contribute to the military alliances defense plans or enable the use of the core-defense spending activities. Article content Southern NATO countries are pushing for counter-terrorism related spending to be included, some of the people said. The inclusion of dual-use goods other than infrastructure will also have to be agreed on, said people, who stressed an agreement will need to be found before the summit. Article content Kyiv is pushing for Ukraine aid to count toward this spending, according to a person familiar with the matter. This would allow the country to make up for the fact that NATO isn't currently discussing the renewal of last year's €40 billion ($45.3 billion) pledge for Ukraine. Article content US President Donald Trump first demanded allies spend 5% earlier this year after threatening to pull out of the alliance or to only protect the allies that spent enough on defense. The figure was widely regarded as unrealistic when he first mentioned it, but European allies and Canada have come around to the understanding that their spending had to drastically increase.
