Big Bad Breakfast Returns to Serve Inlet Beach, 30A
If you're a fan of hearty Southern breakfasts and long poolside brunches, we've got some delicious news: Big Bad Breakfast (BBB) is officially back and serving Inlet Beach!
At the entrance of 30A and just before the first light in Rosemary Beach, the family-friendly spot has reopened its doors after a temporary closure. The shutdown came suddenly last November, when renovations on the complex housing the restaurant forced a six-month pause in service.
'We had about an hour's notice,' says Josh Smith, local owner and franchisee of both the Inlet Beach and Miramar Beach BBB locations. 'It was a whirlwind, but we made the most of it. More importantly, we made it through to the other side and are excited to be back.'
We're excited they're back, too.

Big Bad Breakfast's break allowed the team to deep clean the space, add fresh paint, and complete a few thoughtful updates to the interior, which helped maintain the down-home diner charm guests know and love.
One of the best pieces of news about the reopening is that BBB moved many folks over to the Miramar location and ultimately retained 85% of its workforce, including its trusted General Manager and Kitchen Manager. That means regulars can expect the same warm welcomes, impeccable service, and—perhaps most importantly—the same execution of the mouthwatering menu they've come to expect.
Big Bad Breakfast is known for being a scratch kitchen, which means nothing is phoned in. The biscuits, jellies, and salad dressings are made in-house, and produce arrives fresh daily — a major reason the fresh-squeezed orange juice always hits just right.
The eatery is also proudly part of the Fatback Pig Project, an initiative that sources one-of-a-kind meats like sausage, bacon, and chicken that you won't find anywhere else. Its long-standing partnership with Louisiana's Tabasco Company also gives it a unique edge. The 'spicy bacon' option is seasoned with a proprietary rub you'll dream about long after your last bite.
In an era where many restaurants responded to inflation by raising prices, BBB has held firm in order to stay true to customer expectations. And that's really who this restaurant is all about. As Josh puts it, 'Word of mouth is great for advertising, but you really 'meet your guests' on their plates.'
So whether you're craving a perfectly cooked Jack Benny, a biscuit slathered in housemade gravy, or a plate of that signature bacon, Big Bad Breakfast in Inlet Beach is open, energized, and ready to welcome you back.
Local Tip: Skip the Line
If you're planning a weekend visit or looking to jumpstart your day, take advantage of BBB's 'call-ahead' seating by phone or on Yelp! While traditional reservations are not allowed, the Inlet Beach team is exceptionally skilled at managing its dual-options waitlist — something many restaurants in the area cannot claim. Saving time and avoiding the wait without sacrificing the laid-back experience? Yes, please!

GE Appliances shifts more production to US as part of a $3 billion investment
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — GE Appliances plans to shift production of refrigerators, gas ranges and water heaters out of China and Mexico as part of a more than $3 billion investment to expand its U.S. operations in Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and South Carolina. The investment — the second-largest in the Louisville-based company's history — is expected to add more than 1,000 jobs while ramping up domestic production and modernizing plants in the next five years. 'Our long-term strategy is about manufacturing close to our customers,' said CEO Kevin Nolan. 'With lean manufacturing, upskilling our workforce and automation, the math works for manufacturing in the United States.' The majority of GE Appliances' production is already in the U.S. and the shift means only that the company will transfer more work to its domestic plants. GE Appliances will relocate production of gas ranges from Mexico to a plant in Georgia, while six refrigerator models now made in China will be manufactured at its Alabama plant, the company said. In June, the company said it would move production of clothes washers from China to its sprawling manufacturing complex in Louisville. The reshoring announcements come as President Donald Trump tries to lure factories back to the United States by imposing import taxes — tariffs — on foreign goods. GE Appliances said Wednesday that the first phase of its new investment will begin at plants in five Southern states — Kentucky, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee and South Carolina. 'We are defining the future of manufacturing at GE Appliances by investing in our plants, people and communities,' Nolan said. 'No other appliance company over the last decade has invested more in U.S. manufacturing than we have, and our $3 billion, five-year plan shows that our commitment to U.S. manufacturing will continue into the future.' The multiyear plan includes ramping up production of gas ranges that have been made in Mexico but will shift to the company's plant in LaFayette, Georgia, the company said. Production of six refrigerators now made in China will move to its plant in Decatur, Alabama. The GE Appliances plant in Camden, South Carolina, will add production of electric and hybrid heat pump water heaters, doubling the factory's output and employment once the project is complete, the company said. The plant now produces gas water heaters. Production of the company's electric and hybrid water heaters — now made in China — will shift to South Carolina. In Selmer, Tennessee, its plant will produce two new models of air conditioners. The latest investment includes the June announcement that GE Appliances will pump $490 million into its Kentucky complex to produce a combo washer/dryer and a lineup of front load washers that are now made in China. In all, production of more than 15 models of front load washers will shift to the company's Louisville complex — known as Appliance Park, it said. Once its new plan is fully implemented, GE Appliances will have invested $6.5 billion across its 11 U.S. manufacturing plants and nationwide distribution network since 2016, it said. Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear said Wednesday that the investment shows his state's ability to support world-class companies with a skilled workforce and the resources needed to thrive. 'GE Appliances has established Kentucky as America's destination for advanced manufacturing and job creation, and today's news shows this iconic company's unwavering belief in the commonwealth and the role we play in their success,' Beshear said. Monday Mornings The latest local business news and a lookahead to the coming week. GE Appliances handles product design and engineering work at its Louisville headquarters but doesn't make all of its products in the U.S. It contracts with other manufacturers, including in China, for some of its production where it doesn't have capacity or needs access to a global supply chain. The company said its core business strategy is to base production in the United States, and investments announced in June and on Wednesday are another step toward achieving that goal. The company said it's partnering with universities, technical schools and high schools to help ensure that its plants and other facilities have a trained workforce. 'Infrastructure and tools matter, but they are not enough,' said Bill Good, vice president of supply chain for GE Appliances. 'America's manufacturing renaissance will be built by people.' GE Appliances is a subsidiary of the China-based Haier company. Overall, GE Appliances says it contributes more than $30 billion annually to the U.S. economy and supports more than 113,000 jobs – both directly and indirectly – through its operations, suppliers and distribution network.

Should Your Portfolio Include PINS Stock Post Modest Q2 Results?
Pinterest, Inc. PINS reported modest second-quarter 2025 results, wherein the bottom line missed the Zacks Consensus Estimate while revenues beat the same. The San Francisco-based Internet content provider reported revenue growth year over year, driven by strong momentum in all regions. Management's focus on improving shoppability and monetization potential across the platform and the incorporation of advanced AI-integrated tools to support advertisers and retailers led to top-line growth. PINS Rides on Unique Content Buoyed by greater user engagement, Pinterest has created a niche in the digital market platform. It primarily caters to the 'discovery' mindset of people who turn to the platform to get more information on various subjects like weddings, fashion or fitness, but are not necessarily looking for a specific item. They are there to discover or be inspired, which presents an appealing opportunity to advertisers, as users are often very open to purchasing. Pinterest is increasingly establishing a unique value proposition to advertisers that could provide a competitive advantage in the long run. Through various innovations, it continues to improve the advertising platform, which appears to be one of the best ad platforms for consumer discretionary brands looking for new ways to reach customers and stretch smaller ad budgets. Pinterest's Verified Merchants Program allows brands to create a catalog of shoppable products on the app and use special retargeting capabilities in their ads. In addition, Pinterest is taking various initiatives to bring more actionable content on the platform from a wide range of sources such as users, creators, publishers and retailers. This has resulted in a solid improvement in engagement metrics like sessions, impressions and saves across all regions. Healthy traction in emerging verticals like men's fashion, auto, health and travel are tailwinds. Holistic Growth Buoys PINS The company's focus on improving operational rigor and the incorporation of sophisticated AI (artificial intelligence) models to enhance relevancy and personalization is likely to bring long-term benefits. Pinterest is also emphasizing building new ad tools and formats to help grow the scope of monetization on the platform. This will enable advertisers to measure the results and conversion rates, which will improve their decision-making. It has partnered with Inc. AMZN to further capitalize on the commercial intent of its user base and increase shoppability on its platform. The buyout of the AI-powered, high-tech fashion-shopping platform, The Yes, has enabled it to create a strategic organization to help steer the evolution of its features and merchants. Pinterest and The Yes share a common vision of making it easy for customers to find products matching their tastes and styles. The combined company has been making continuous efforts to absorb creators publishing videos and live streams to make the shopping experience swift and easy for customers. High Operating Costs Weigh on PINS Margins Despite healthy growth potential, Pinterest expects operating expenses to increase substantially in the near term as it expands operations domestically and internationally, enhancing product offerings, broadening user and advertiser base, expanding marketing channels, hiring additional employees and developing technology. Increased infrastructure spending related to user and engagement growth is likely to result in higher cost of revenues. Moreover, growing investments in data center infrastructure, sales & marketing and research & development continue to strain margins. In addition, Pinterest faces significant competition from larger, more established companies that provide their users with a variety of online products, services, content (including video) and advertising offerings, including web search engines, social networks and other means of discovering, using or acquiring goods and services. PINS also faces competition from smaller firms, which offer users engaging content and commerce opportunities through similar technology, products and features or services. Price Performance Pinterest has gained 17% over the past year compared with the industry 's growth of 43.5%. It has outperformed its peers like Snap Inc. SNAP but lagged Meta Platforms, Inc. META over this period. While Meta has surged 49.5%, Snap has declined 21.2% during this period. One-Year PINS Stock Price Performance Image Source: Zacks Investment Research Estimate Revision Trend for PINS Earnings estimates for Pinterest for 2025 have increased marginally to $1.81 over the past seven days, while the same for 2026 has remained static. The positive estimate revisions depict that investors are bullish about the stock's growth prospects. End Note Pinterest is witnessing solid net sales growth backed by strong user engagement across all regions. Enhancements in shopping ads and API for conversions are providing a sustained return on investment to advertisers. Through third-party ad integration with Google, Pinterest aims to introduce monetization opportunities in several unmonetized international markets. The uptrend in estimate revisions further signifies bullish sentiments for the stock. However, increasing competition from other video-centric consumer apps is likely to adversely impact user engagement to some extent. High operating expenses to expand operations and incorporate the latest technological innovations are expected to dent its profitability. With a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold), Pinterest appears to be treading in the middle of the road and investors could be better off if they trade with caution.
