"Rising polarisation, exclusionary narratives, and erosion of trust in institutions weaken the very foundations of our Republic. We must reaffirm our commitment to pluralism, justice, and the rule of law," the Chief Minister said.
According to him, India@2047 should not just be a slogan; it must be a challenge and a calling for everyone-A challenge to close the gaps of inequality, and a calling to rise together as a federation of empowered states.

"The road to an India @2047 must be paved with the visions, strengths, and aspirations of every state, from the Himalayas, the banks of the Ganga to the plains of Kaveri," Siddaramaiah noted.
The Chief Minister has also set a goal of achieving 100 per cent piped water to every household and establishing Karnataka as South Asia's electric vehicle capital and turning every Taluk (Tehsil) into a Skill District in the next three years.
Doubling the area under organic farming and expanding early warning systems to all vulnerable regions are other goals for the next 1,000 days.
"Karnataka's roadmap for the next 1,000 days is a declaration of intent: to lead by example, inspire by action, and govern with purpose," Siddaramaiah said in his message.
Other targets are making Karnataka as India's most efficient service delivery state, driven by transparency, technology, and trust.
"This is not merely an administrative plan, but a moral promise. Karnataka will lead with the strength of its people, the clarity of the Constitution, and the courage to imagine an India that is not only developed, but deeply just," he said.
The Chief Minister said in this journey towards Bharat@2047, Karnataka should walk ahead with 'compassion, competence, and courage as a guiding light for the nation'.
"We offer to partner with the Union Government and NITI Aayog in codifying and sharing our best practices, building toolkits, and co-developing frameworks that align with the national ambition of Bharat @2047," his speech read.

Singh, who is a Rajya Sabha member, said that the Yatra will build a tempo in favour of Opposition INDIA bloc ahead of assembly elections in Bihar scheduled to be held in October-November. The Opposition alleged that SIR launched by Election Commission led to deletion of names of 65 lakh electors in state. 'EC's special intensive revision is a deliberate design to tamper with votes, disproportionately affecting backward, Muslim communities and migrant workers,' said Bihar Congress president Rajesh Kumar. He further said that on August 18, Rahul will start pad yatra which will pass through Dev Road Amba in Kutumba assembly constituency, covering Aurangabad district. On Saturday, Rahul on X said, 'Sixteen days, 20-plus districts, 1,300-plus kilometres. We are coming among the people with voter rights yatra. This is the right to protect the most fundamental democratic right'-'one person, one vote'. Join us to save the Constitution.'

Voter Adhikar Yatra' kicks Off In Bihar With Rahul Gandhi, Tejashwi Yadav

The INDIA bloc will launch the 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' on Sunday from Sasaram to protest against the alleged irregularities in Bihar's voter list revision. The 1,300 km-long journey will be led jointly by the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, and the Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav. Senior leaders, including Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, CPI(ML) General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya, and VIP chief Mukesh Sahani, will also join the yatra. Preparations were finalised on Saturday. The specially designed vehicle used during Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra has been remodelled for this campaign. Rahul will arrive at Gaya airport and proceed by helicopter to SP Jain College, Sasaram, where the yatra will be flagged off with a public meeting at noon. Over the 16-day campaign, Rahul Gandhi will engage with people both on foot and by vehicle, depending on the density of the population. The yatra will include two to three public meetings daily, along with roadshows and foot marches at various stops. Night halts have been arranged in tents at 13 different locations along the route. The first night's rest will be at Babhandih Sports Ground in Kutumba, Aurangabad. The Voter Rights Yatra, organised by the INDIA bloc, will cover 25 districts over 16 days and culminate with a massive public meeting at the historic Gandhi Maidan in Patna on September 1. A dedicated van for media personnel, decorated with posters of Rahul and Tejashwi, will accompany the yatra. According to the INDIA bloc leaders, the purpose of the campaign is twofold: to create awareness among voters about their rights and to expose alleged large-scale deletions from the electoral rolls, particularly impacting Dalit, backward, and minority communities. They claim such omissions pose a serious threat to democratic participation in Bihar. As per the schedule, the Yatra will start from Rohtas on August 17, will reach Aurangabad on August 18, Gaya and Nawada on August 19, and, August 20 will be a break. The INDIA bloc Yatra will resume from Lakhisarai-Sheikhpura on August 21, reach Munger and Bhagalpur on August 22, then Katihar on August 23, and Purnea and Araria on August 24. The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm across the country on Friday (15.08.2025). But for many years, in some parts of Tamil Nadu, panchayat presidents from certain communities were denied permission to hoist the national flag in their offices. A strong voice was raised about this situation in the Tamil film 'Nandhan', which was released last year. Sasikumar calls it a historic change As a symbol of this change, on Independence Day this year, Panchayat Presidents of a particular community hoisted the flag in their offices without any restrictions. The 'Nandhan' team is happy to see this as their success. 'Nandhan' hero Sasikumar wrote on his Instagram page, "All the Dalit Panchayat leaders in Tamil Nadu have hoisted the flag on the 79th Independence Day. This is a huge change. On behalf of 'Nandan', we would like to thank everyone who supported us. " Director Saravanan credits govt action and Nandhan's impact 'Nandhan' director Saravanan also expressed his gratitude. The impact of that movie was the impetus for this social change,' he said. This has once again proven how great an impact a work of art can have on society.
