Looking like something out of the Disney+ series Rivals, this incredible home in St George's Avenue, Killiney, has hit the market for an outstanding sum.
Built in 1871, Kenah Hill stands on an elevated site that sits atop 2.8 acres of mature, manicured grounds and offers panoramic views from Killiney Bay to Bray Head. And we haven't even turned the keys to enter the house yet.
The sweeping driveway leads to the property, which is spread across 929 sq m and three floors of generously proportioned rooms, soaring ceilings and ornate cornicing. A double-height entrance hall boasts a monochrome marble floor and a cantilever sweeping staircase. Pic: Sherry Fitzgerald
The morning room boasts a superb reception with a bay window and extra height ceilings, while the drawing room leads into the drawing room that boasts an incredible double bay window, Versailles parquet floor and a marble fireplace with a gas fire. The double bay windows boast incredible panoramic sea views. Pic: Sherry Fitzgerald
The dining room boasts attractive parquet flooring and a feature fireplace with a coal effect gas fire, while the kitchen is bespoke and fitted by Mark Williamson with Silestone counter tops. An integrated American fridge freezer and a large island unit complete the kitchen, while three French doors lead to the impeccable terrace. Pic: Sherry Fitzgerald
Heading up to the first floor are six of the home's seven bedrooms, with the master bedroom being double fronted with a bay window enjoying commanding views that overlook the grounds and out toward the bay. The en-suite bathroom boasts incredible his and hers sinks and vanity units, while a large walk-in wardrobe completes the suite. Pic: Sherry Fitzgerald
The home doesn't stop there, however — heading down to the garden level, the home has a wine cellar and storage room, along with a galley kitchen, the seventh bedroom which is en-suite and a large playroom. Self contained guest quarters are just nearby at garden level, which is one bedroom, en-suite and a living room. Pic: Sherry Fitzgerald
As well as the home itself, the home has impeccable grounds — with recreational amenities including an all-weather tennis court, and an indoor swimming pool. The pool pavilion is a highlight of the home, being encased in a glass solarium allowing for you to go for a swim in all weather, as well a bar area. Pic: Sherry Fitzgerald
Kenah Hill, St George's Avenue, Killiney, Dublin is available via Sherry Fitzgerald, with a price tag of a whopping €10.75million.

Eddington: conspiracy and dread in small-town USA

A shocking and provocative tale of conspiracies and small-town politics gone wild as director Ari Aster continues to tackle subjects that send a shiver down the viewer's spine. This time, it's the year 2020. It's May 2020 in the New Mexico town of Eddington, we meet Sheriff Joe Cross (Joaquin Phoenix). A hot-headed reactionary, he lives with his wife, Louise (Emma Stone), who barely acknowledges her husband's struggles, and his deluded mother-in-law, Dawn (Deirdre O'Connell), who has fallen far down the conspiracy theory rabbit hole thanks to Facebook. While not a COVID denier, and despite being asthmatic, Joe is frustrated with the mask mandates that have just reached his sleepy apparently COVID free town. Joe pushes back, creating further friction with the progressive but smug mayor, Ted Garcia (Pedro Pascal), Louise's slick and self-satisfied ex. Tensions escalate when Joe decides to run against the unopposed Ted for mayor. To do so, he embraces being the anti-Ted, anti-lockdown, anti-government, and pro-conspiracy. The film's targets shift often. Both sides of the American cultural divide are skewered. Dawn is shown clutching her printed-out sheets of unsubstantiated theories, while Austin Butler's creepy YouTube guru a man who has all the answers, is clearly predatory. But the other side doesn't escape either. We meet cops who take offense at Joe not wearing a mask while sitting alone in his car in the middle of the desert, or the virtue-signalling young white activists who tie themselves in knots apologizing for speaking truth to power, all while barely noticing the rapidly advancing plans for a resource guzzling data centre just outside town, something the supposedly eco-conscious mayor is quietly supporting. The mayoral race quickly turns dirty, ideologies clash, and the political and cultural divide widens in a town that might be better off cut off from the rest of America and its problems. Eddington is a town on the brink, and its sheriff and mayoral candidate's mental health is hanging by a thread. If someone wanted to understand how America got to where it is today, pointing them towards this film would be an excellent start. Bound to be just as divisive as his previous Beau is Afraid, Ari Aster's Eddington runs a little too long and isn't as slick or focused as his previous projects, but it's still well worth your time (as was Beau is Afraid). It's a razor-sharp satire with genuinely shocking moments and pitch-perfect performances, especially from Phoenix, whose volatile sheriff is a joy to watch.

BBC reveal major show ‘is going nowhere' after lead star quit as bosses give update on beleaguered series

The last series had been bankrolled by Disney+ WHO, WHAT, WHERE? BBC reveal major show 'is going nowhere' after lead star quit as bosses give update on beleaguered series THE BBC has tried to alleviate the concerns of Doctor Who fans after Ncuti Gatwa quit the Tardis following the shortest Time Lord tenure in 20 years. But they've not been very convincing. 3 The BBC has tried to alleviate the concerns of Doctor Who fans after Ncuti Gatwa's exit Credit: PA 3 Gatwa had the shortest Time Lord tenure in 20 years Credit: PA Advertisement The corporation's new Chief Content Officer Katie Phillips was grilled about the sci-fi show's future on a stage at the Edinburgh TV Festival, and she couldn't say for sure when, or if, it would be recommissioned by them. She was asked about Disney+, who bankrolled the last two series, and whether the Beeb would be willing to keep the show going if they didn't renew their arrangement. Katie replied: 'Absolutely. Any Whovians out there, rest assured, Doctor Who is going nowhere. 'Disney has been a great partnership, but going forward with or without Disney Doctor Who will still be on the BBC.' Advertisement But when pressed on when they'd confirm any decision she replied: 'Soon, don't worry. "The Tardis is going nowhere. Lindsay Salt will be on soon so she can talk a bit more about that.' Then when Lindsay, the BBC's director of drama, arrived on the same stage, she was equally vague about the long-running show. She said: 'There's no update at the moment, but honestly we will share as soon as we do have an update. Advertisement 'The BBC is committed to the brand. "For drama, it's the biggest brand for the under 35-year-olds. Billie Piper announced as new Doctor Who as she replaces Ncuti Gatwa in BBC series "So it's very important to us and we're committed.' A massive question mark now hangs over the future of the show and whether the Beeb's 'commitment' and determination to keep it 'with the BBC' actually means they'll order a new series any time soon. It all comes after Ncuti's departure amid plunging viewing figures, which some fans have blamed on the increasingly woke storylines under the tenure of Russell T Davies. Advertisement The BBC had previously said they wouldn't make any decisions until after the most recent series finished running — well, that was nearly three months ago now. Bizbit SKY announced that it is making an interview series with Dame Judi Dench which will see her chat to various celebrities. Called Tea With Judi Dench, the show sees her tap into her contacts book for subjects – the first being her fellow luvvie Sir Kenneth Branagh. PLOPPER FUNNY, DANNY ATTENDEES at the Edinburgh TV Festival like to think they are a sophisticated bunch, but the biggest laugh heard at the event proved otherwise. Sky unveiled a clip of its upcoming show, The Dyers' Caravan Park, which sees Danny Dyer and daughter Dani try their hand at running a holiday park they have invested in. The first thing they are seen doing is organising a meeting with the residents. During the chat, complaints are raised that the park's swimming pool had people doing number twos in there. Advertisement While discussing this later in the day, Danny delivers a lovely little anecdote to Dani. He tells her: 'I s**t in the bath once, didn't I? "Me and my brother used to have a bath and I s**t in it and I pushed it up his end of the bath, because I didn't want to get in trouble.' You had to be there. Bizbit QUOTE of the day came, predictably, from hilarious ITV boss Kevin Lygo, who was asked at the TV festival how he felt about making shows for young people. He was trying to say it could be a venture that could backfire, but instead said: 'You can get in terrible trouble chasing teenagers.' NO LAUGHING MATTER JUST like the contestants have to stifle a giggle, try to contain your excitement as Prime Video gives us a first look at the new line-up for Last One Laughing. Advertisement The breakout hit show has brought together a top-class collection of comedians for the second series, which arguably tops the first run. 3 The cast of Last One Laughing series two Bob Mortimer, who triumphed last time round, is back along with hosts Jimmy Carr and Roisin Conaty. All Bob had to do to win was spend time with ten of the funniest men and women in Britain and not even smile, let alone laugh. Which is no mean feat. Advertisement Prime Video promises that the new season, which airs next year, will once again be 'packed with comedy cameos, format twists and surprises designed to elicit laughs from both players and viewers alike'.

Vanderpump Rules spin off relocates from Italy to VERY unexpected town in the UK

It's definitely going to be a change of scenery SCENERY SWITCH-UP Vanderpump Rules spin off relocates from Italy to VERY unexpected town in the UK Real Housewives of Beverly Hills legend Lisa Vanderpump's spin-off show, Vanderpump Villa, is set for a huge shake-up for its upcoming third series - relocating from the stunning castle in Italy to a farmhouse in the far less glamorous climes of Milton Keynes. In a move that will see fans scratching their heads, the show - which airs on Hulu in the US and Disney + globally - has ditched the fancy European settings of the previous two seasons for an altogether more down-to-earth base. 4 The super-glam Vanderpump Rules spin off is relocating from Italy to Milton Keynes Credit: Hulu 4 The show used to be set in this stunning Italian castle Credit: Hulu A telly insider said: "Bosses have settled on a location house in Newport Pagnell to film the next run. It's rural and will probably look impressive to US viewers who will just see the English countryside and think it's romantic, but anyone from Britain knows Newton Pagnell is a stone's throw from Milton Keynes' city centre - a place that couldn't be less showbizzy if it tried. It's a man-made commuter city at the end of the day. "Obviously Lisa Vanderpump is British, so you can understand why the showrunners wanted a Lady of the Manor type vibe for the upcoming episodes, but you would imagine they would have plumped for a mansion in the Cotswolds, or an old English castle in Kent." The first series of Vanderpump Villa was filmed at a French chauteau and aired last year. The second series relocated to Umbria and has been shot but is yet to air. Lisa and her husband Ken, who also appeared on RHOBH, made their money owning various restaurants and clubs in London, before decamping to LA where they opened eateries and bars such as SUR and Villa Blanca. Lisa Vanderpump 'pushed out' of Vanderpump Rules as producers attempt to 'minimize' her involvement with filming Lisa then shot to fame as part of the original cast of Beverly Hills housewives, and enjoyed success as the show's breakout star from 2010 to 2019, but left the show after a series of on-camera spats with the other wives. The Sun has approached a rep for the show for comment. 4 Will "first class luxury" still remain the air of the show over in Milton Keynes? Credit: Hulu
