Roblox bans ‘predator hunter' YouTuber Schlep over safety protocol violations
Schlep shared screenshots on social media of what he claims is a cease-and-desist letter from a law firm representing Roblox. The letter ordered him to stop accessing the platform, citing unauthorized and harmful activities that undermine Roblox's safety efforts and expose users to increased risk.
While the letter acknowledged Schlep's stated intention to protect children, it criticized his failure to report suspicious activity through official channels and claimed his methods interfere with established safety protocols.
In a YouTube video, Schlep said he has been playing Roblox since age eight and credited the platform with personal connections, including meeting his girlfriend.
He claimed his actions over the years contributed to the arrest of six alleged predators and said an anonymous child once thanked him for stopping a groomer.
Schlep added that he was groomed on Roblox in the past and his mother's report to the company did not result in a ban for the alleged offender — a factor in his decision to track down predators himself. He stated he will not return to the platform or create a new account.
A Roblox spokesperson told Indy100 that the company prioritizes user safety through comprehensive on-platform abuse reporting tools and works with trained professionals and law enforcement.
They emphasized that safety enforcement should not be handled by individual users. Roblox also operates a 'trusted flagger' program for serious criminal concerns, which are promptly investigated and actioned.

Petition to remove Roblox CEO David Baszucki passes 100k signatures over child safety concerns
A petition calling for the resignation of Roblox CEO David Baszucki has gained more than 100,000 signatures, citing concerns over child safety on the platform. Launched on August 9 2025, the petition alleges that Roblox has failed to protect children from exploitation and harmful content. It further claims that, under Baszucki's leadership, accountability and transparency have been lacking. The document accuses the company of being slow to remove predators, stating that some remained active even after being reported. It also criticises Roblox for permitting harmful content to circulate and relying too heavily on automated moderation, which petitioners say has wrongly penalised innocent players. Additional allegations include retaliation against community members who raised concerns, as well as repeated failures to respond to calls for reform. The petition does not cite specific cases, but comes amid wider debate following the banning of Schlep, a YouTuber known for confronting alleged predators on Roblox. Schlep received a cease-and-desist notice from the company, warning against 'unauthorised and harmful activities on the Roblox platform.' Roblox has defended the decision, arguing that Schlep's methods constituted vigilantism. In an update video on August 16, Roblox Chief Safety Officer Matt Kaufman said such activity placed the community at 'greater risk.' On August 15, journalist Chris Hansen, host of To Catch a Predator, announced via X/Twitter that he was investigating 'exploitation of children on the popular gaming platform, Roblox.' He confirmed he had been in contact with both law enforcement and Schlep regarding the matter. The petition marks a growing wave of pressure on Roblox's leadership as debate over child safety and platform moderation continues. Roblox has not yet issued a direct response to the petition.

Police raid Neon's livestream with Iggy Azalea after swatting and illegal gambling allegations
A livestream hosted by controversial internet personality Rangesh 'N3on' Mutama, better known as Neon, was abruptly interrupted on August 4, 2025, after a reported swatting incident led police to raid the show mid-broadcast. Australian rapper Iggy Azalea was a guest on the stream, which aired on Kick. Clips circulating online show uniformed officers entering the set as the broadcast continued live. Several individuals were reportedly detained at the scene amid accusations of illegal gambling activities occurring during the show. However, whether these allegations are valid or part of the swatting hoax remains unclear. Multiple people were arrested on Neon's stream with Iggy Azalea after they were swatted over suspected illegal gambling 👀 — FearBuck (@FearedBuck) August 4, 2025 Swatting is the act of falsely reporting an emergency to provoke an armed police response — a serious federal crime that has affected numerous streamers. In this case, the tip-off allegedly included claims of unlicensed gambling taking place live. While Neon has a history of online controversy — including a prior swatting incident in 2024 and an arrest in Dubai — this latest disruption highlights rising tensions between livestreaming and public safety. Among the guests on the stream was Iggy Azalea, who has recently ventured into livestreaming and cryptocurrency-related content. Although she appeared on camera during the police entry, there is no suggestion that Azalea was involved in or aware of any wrongdoing. The earliest report of the incident surfaced via a post from user FearedBuck, who wrote, 'Several were detained during Neon's stream with Iggy Azalea after they were swatted due to suspected illegal gambling.' That quote has since spread widely across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, often without attribution or verification. As the footage continues to trend, law enforcement has not released an official statement. Until more reliable reporting emerges, speculation around arrests or confirmed gambling activity remains unverified.
