Calvin Ford has acquired 100 per cent of John McIlvogue's shares in Baycup Ltd, which has held a significant shareholding in the club since the start of the 2023/24 season.
Ford, is now the majority shareholder at the West Lothian club and will act as the chairman as John Ward leaves his post in the boardroom.
The new Livingston chairman works as vice president of sales and marketing for Pentastar Aviation, a private aircraft management operation based outside of Detroit.
Founder and former owner of Baycup Ltd, McIlvogue said: 'When I chose to invest in the football club I did so to be of help whether short, medium or long term. It has been a great pleasure to support the club through its difficulties and see it bounce back with the first silverware in over a decade and a real fight for Premiership promotion. I believe the time is now right for me to pass on my shares to an investor with a real appetite to take the club forward on and off the park.
'When I joined the club, I said my only aim was that when I leave the club is in a better place than when I arrived. I believe I have achieved this with Calvin's acquisition of my shareholding.
'I'd like to say a huge thank you to all the supporters and staff of Livingston FC, a special mention to the staff who's work behind the scenes goes largely unnoticed, their hard work and passion for Livingston Football Club is nothing short of incredible. I look forward to watch the club thrive with Calvin's support and guidance'.
New chairman & majority shareholder Ford said, 'I am overjoyed and honoured to be part of Livingston Football Club. What drew me to wanting to be involved with LFC was the incredible leadership that people like Davie Martindale and John Ward portray. They have a passion for this Club and community that is contagious, and I look forward to being part of something special here'.
Outgoing chairman, Ward said: 'I am delighted to welcome Calvin to the club. I feel that for the first time in the history of Livingston Football Club we will have an owner who is working in the best interests of the club and fans.
'As a Director of Livingston Football Club, I look forward to working with Calvin. I believe his integrity and enthusiasm for football will bring a sea change to Livingston and the wider West Lothian community'.

St Mirren eye new striker before summer transfer window shuts

The Saints boss wants to add to his frontline but says the club may need to sell players before that can happen. Stephen Robinson says transfers in and out of St Mirren are still possible as he eyes up a new striker. ‌ The Buddies are looking to reinforce their front line before the window slams shut in under two weeks — with the view of getting a player who can offer something different to Jonah Ayunga and Mikael Mandron. ‌ Having already had one of the busiest summers in the league, alongside this weekend's Premiership opponents Rangers, the club have seen 12 players put pen to paper on SMiSA Stadium deals. ‌ And Robbo doesn't want to stop there as he looks to see what the rest of the window might throw up but concedes someone might need to exit before anyone else comes in. 'I'm always looking to do business,' the Paisley chief said. 'Maybe one has to go before that happens but we're always looking. 'A striker with a lot of pace would be a good signing for us. I think it would give us another way to win football matches. 'We're still trying to get people up to speed. We're still trying to find our best formation that works with this group of boys. We've brought wingers in who aren't quite ready to play yet. 'Jalmaro [Calvin] everyone expects to come in and hit the ground running. He's only played three pre-season games. He didn't play from the middle of April. He's not used to playing at this level. 'Malik [Dijksteel] is still getting up to fitness after having the flu as well. ‌ 'So, actually having the wingers available to change the system and look at other options hasn't been affordable to us so far, in the league anyway.' Although a core of the squad which has been successful under Robbo, right, have stayed on this season, 10 new faces join the club on top of Roland Idowu and Killian Phillips turning their loans into permanent moves. Liam Donnelly, Richard King, Ryan Mullen, Jayden Richardson, Tunmise Sobowale, Miguel Freckleton, Shamal George, Keanu Baccus, Calvin and Dijksteel have all entered the building this summer. ‌ Naturally, there will be a bedding in period for most of the players who have arrived from south of the border or further afield. However, after making the quarter-finals of the Premier Sports Cup courtesy of a penalty shoot-out win over Hearts on Saturday, Saints are beginning to look like they are gelling together. And that is where Robbo has called for patience as he outlined how it will be a gradual process getting the team to its peak level. ‌ He said: 'What you have to do is remember the success that the core of this group has given the club. And with these guys, you can't rip it up you're trying to do is tweak slowly. 'They've got the quality, they've got the pace but they're not there in terms of understanding their levels of fitness. 'And that's something they have to do. It's up to them to get into the team. ‌ 'People say, 'I get chances, I don't get chances'. You get a chance every single day you walk into this football club. 'They're coming into our top-six squad and that is the goal — meet our standards.' The Buddies gaffer also gave his thoughts on the Rangers game being called off — then put back on again – after the Light Blues waived the right to a postponement which would have allowed them to concentrate on their Champions League play-off with Belgian cracks Club Brugge. He added: 'We wanted the game on. We're pleased that the game's on because it does disrupt things. 'You can only do so much in training without actually being executed in a proper match. So, we're pleased the game's on and we look forward to the match.'

Premier League star, 25, breaks silence on awkwardly-sized shorts after suffering repeated wardrobe malfunctions

CALVIN BASSEY has broken his silence after he suffered a bizarre wardrobe malfunction. The Fulham star, 25, saw his shorts repeatedly fall down during their visit to Brighton on Saturday afternoon. 6 6 6 6 6 Fabian Hurzeler 's Seagulls saw their pants pulled down by Marco Silva's Cottagers as they snatched a 1-1 draw thanks to a last-gasp Rodrigo Muniz equaliser. But Bassey had to endure this issue repeatedly at the Amex, with fans joking he may need to invest in a tighter fitting pair. And the former Ajax star broke his silence on social media on Monday with a five-word message. He said: "My shorts are going up," and added a smiley face to his message. In response, one fan said: "It's all a distraction for rivals Calvin." A second said: "Surprised there hasn't been sponsorship offers from boxer companies, or even a belt company." A third added: "They called you out." Many others responded with laughing emojis. However, it is not the first time Bassey has suffered a shorts related malfunction in a Premier League game. In April, during a trip to face Arsenal at the Emirates, Bassey was seen warming up on the sideline. Fulham star Calvin Bassey shows Arsenal fans his bum at worst time possible But as he bent over by the corner flag and engaged in some banter with the Gooners in the crowd - who sang "who are ya?" towards him - by patting his backside, disaster struck. Their attention was quickly drawn from the exchange of jokes, with Gunners star Bukayo Saka scoring in the 73rd minute. That goal ended up being decisive as a 94th minute Rodrigo Muniz strike served to only be a consolation. Fulham face Manchester United at Craven Cottage next Sunday.
