Haley Richardson, 26, a stay-at-home mom, and Robert Dillon, 34, a delivery driver, welcomed Kelce Taylor-Grace on July 24 at The University of Kansas Health System's Liberty Hospital, weighing 7lbs 7oz.
Haley and Robert from Richmond, Missouri, say the name honors family traditions and reflects admiration for Kelce and Swift's character - not their celebrity.
But online haters have hit out at the couple after the name was shared online by Liberty Hospital subjecting the family to unexpected scrutiny and accusations they named their child purely for attention or to receive gifts from the famous couple.
But the couple insist they never sought fame or gifts, and just wanted to share a joyful moment in their lives.
"With her name going viral, some people are just super negative, saying we did this for attention," Robert said.
"But in the original post that Liberty Hospital shared, our names weren't in it, our faces weren't in it.
He added: "It was simply about her and her name, almost like just a birth announcement."
The engaged couple emphasized they never sought material gain from their naming choice.
"We haven't received a thing, we haven't asked for a thing, we don't want anything," Robert said.
"Our goal wasn't to get possessions. It was just to share a moment in our lives that we thought people would think was cool."

Haley added: "People keep saying she's named after the couple, and while she may have the couple's names, that wasn't ever the intention.
"Kelce Taylor flows well and is really pretty as a name in general."
Robert's two sons from a previous relationship -10 and 6 - both also have five-letter names starting with K.
Additionally, Haley incorporated her middle name, Grace, into her daughter's hyphenated middle name.
"We're not super fans of Travis and Taylor as a couple," Haley said.
"We are huge fans of them as individuals because of the work they do in the community and the philanthropic work that makes them genuinely good human beings."
The couple hopes their daughter will embody these same qualities of generosity and kindness.
"I just want her to be kind, show compassion, have empathy for people, and know that every time she goes somewhere, try and leave that place better when she leaves than when she walked through the door," Robert added.
Despite a challenging pregnancy which included gestational diabetes and preeclampsia, Haley describes Kelce as "a really super sweet, easy baby" who is "pretty chill".
The new parents are looking forward to raising their daughter in the Kansas City area.
As for the rumors that Kelce and Swift have reached out or sent gifts to the family, Robert dismissed them.
"There's a bunch of fake news articles out there saying they've sent us gifts. We haven't heard from them, nor have we received anything," he said.
Haley hopes her daughter will learn an important lesson from her namesakes.
"Taylor and Travis don't do their philanthropic work or charity work to get attention. They do it because it's what they want to do," she said.
"I want her to know that not everything good that you do has to be announced to the world, and you can do things in the quiet without expecting anything in return."
The struggle of choosing a baby name
CHLOE Morgan, a Senior Writer at Fabulous, has revealed her dilemma on choosing a baby name...
At 35 weeks pregnant, by far the trickiest part of pregnancy for me in the past few months (minus the insomnia and countless night-time wee breaks!) has been trying to decide on a baby name.
The dilemmas are endless...
My partner and I went for a private scan to find out the gender as early as we could - partly due to the fact we thought it would make baby naming so much easier because we'd only have to come up with a list of names for one gender rather than two.
How wrong we were...
I was absolutely thrilled to be told I was expecting the baby girl I'd already dreamed of, but being one of the last of my friends to fall pregnant, I've had countless conversations over the years with excited pals discussing their top baby names...something which I wish I could go back in time and un-hear.
With each friend mentioning at least 10 possible monikers, I can't help but feel like several are now a no-go even though I know it's something that none of them would mind in the slightest - it's a total me problem!
The debate comes up time and time again on social media forums - can you choose the same name that was a "potential" for a friend's baby?
It's a very divisive topic and opinions are always mixed...and I don't want to be THAT person.
While some will argue there's thousands of other names out there to choose from, others will say you need to choose YOUR favourite...after all, there's no guarantee that person will even have another baby.
Then there's also the issue of finding a name you adore...only to research it online and read one negative comment amongst hundreds of positives that you just can't shake off.
I made that very mistake when I fell in love with a certain name (I won't reveal it because I don't want to ruin it for others!) ...only to see someone point out that it constantly gets autocorrected on a phone to something rather rude instead.
So, back to the drawing board we went..
Just five weeks to go and it looks like our little one is going to be known as 'baby gal' for a little while longer!

Comedian and lifelong Dodgers fan George Lopez 'hurt' after team apparently blocked him over ICE criticism
Comedian George Lopez has claimed the Los Angeles Dodgers have blocked him on social media after criticizing the organization for a perceived lack of action over ICE raids in the city. The 64-year-old has been a vociferous opponent of ICE and has called for his beloved Dodgers to stand up more publicly in support of immigrants in the community. When tension around the raids were at their highest, however, the World Series champions came in for criticsm when singer Nezza was apparently told not to sing the national anthem in Spanish before a mid-June game against San Francisco Giants. On July 12, Lopez claimed on social media that the Dodgers - who visited Donald Trump in the White House earlier this year - blocked him over his opposition to the team, something he has now told People he finds 'hurtful'. Last month, he posted a video on social media of him dancing with the upload captioned: 'POV: You just got blocked by the Dodgers'. In a passionate post, he wrote alongside his upload: 'The Dodgers blocked me on social media for my criticism of the team, so they'll take a stand on me, but not on the treatment of the families who called Chavez Ravine Home before they decided to build a baseball stadium where they lived and where their families called home.' View this post on Instagram A post shared by George Lopez (@georgelopez) Chavez Ravine was a Los Angeles neighborhood home to a largely low-income Hispanic community that was displaced to make way for Dodger Stadium to be built. The stadium eventually opened in 1962 as the Brooklyn Dodgers relocated to Los Angeles to make the ballpark their home. Lopez's July post continued: 'Also no comment from the owners (on ICE).What's happening everyday to the families of the people who are being treated like they don't belong? If anyone doesnt belong it's the Dodgers. 'Maybe since the Dodgers have stayed silient on the issue of the treatment and enforcement of ICE on the Latino Community, maybe at the next fan fest or homestand they can have ICE Agents or these bounty hunters dress up as the visiting team and during the 7th inning stretch they can remove fans, since their loyalty to the team means nothing to them.' The Dodgers, who have been offered the chance to comment by Daily Mail, have not yet spoken publicly about Lopez's claims. But the team did donate $1million in support of families of immigrants impacted by ICE raids in June. Dodgers president and CEO, Stan Kasten, said in a statement: 'What's happening in Los Angeles has reverberated among thousands upon thousands of people, and we have heard the calls for us to take a leading role on behalf of those affected. 'We believe that by committing resources and taking action, we will continue to support and uplift the communities of Greater Los Angeles.' On June 19, the Dodgers said on social media that ICE agents had been denied entry to their ballpark. Their post read: 'This morning, ICE agents came to Dodger Stadium and requested permission to access the parking lots. They were denied entry to the grounds by the organization. Tonight's game will be played as scheduled.' Lopez has made no secret of his lifelong Dodgers fandom. In a piece he wrote for ESPN in 2016, he underlined his love for the team and recalled how awestruck he felt when he went to Dodger Stadium for the first time. 'I'll never forget seeing Dodger Stadium for the first time. Little did I know that going to Dodger games would become a tradition for my family,' he wrote. 'I've gone to Dodger Stadium with regularity in the years since... My seats now are a lot better than my 75-cent ticket to the left field pavilion, but nothing is better than looking out from the seats behind home plate and imagining my grandparents both still there.' Trump welcomed the Dodgers to the White House in April to commemorate their 2024 World Series triumph.

Jennifer Garner sports ring on THAT finger amid John Miller romance and move-in rumors
Jennifer Garner was glimpsed with a glittering ring on her left hand fourth finger this weekend, amid her long-running romance with businessman John Miller. The 13 Going on 30 star first began dating the CaliGroup CEO in 2018, three years after her separation from her ex-husband Ben Affleck, with whom she shares three children — Violet, 19, Finn, 16, and Samuel, 13. Though Garner and Miller briefly split in 2020, they reportedly reunited the following year and have largely kept their relationship out of the spotlight ever since. Despite rumors that she and Ben were growing close again in the wake of his divorce from his latest wife Jennifer Lopez, she and Miller appear stronger than ever, even being photographed sharing a kiss in April 2025. Rumors have been swirling that Miller has moved in with his movie star girlfriend, and he poured fuel on the fire when he was spotted outside her mansion in May. Now Garner has been spotted out and about in Los Angeles with a sparkling bauble on her left hand, intensifying the speculation about her relationship status. Daily Mail has contacted Garner's representatives for comment. 'John is basically living with Jennifer,' a source told UsWeekly this May, noting it was only 'part time.' The site also claimed he moved out of his Los Angeles home after the wildfires ravaged several neighborhoods in the Southern California city, and he has yet to find a new pad. 'He has an office in L.A. and splits his time between staying there and at Jennifer's home,' the source said. This comes after confirmed in mid-March that Garner and Miller are still going strong, with a source spotting them looking cozy on a date night. The couple were seen 'holding hands and kissing' and being 'very cute with one another' as they strolled through the Brentwood Country Mart in Los Angeles. The PDA-filled outing took place in the evening, according to the eyewitness. 'They are still going strong and appear to be doing really well,' the source shared. 'They looked happy and at ease, like a married couple that is thriving. They laughed and smiled at each other. Very cute.' The insider added that both were dressed down for the casual date. 'She had no makeup on, her hair down. He wore a coat and jeans.' 'There was a lot of affection between them,' the source continued. 'They held hands and kissed — just a very normal couple with no Hollywood weirdness.' Miller, a Stanford Law School graduate, now serves as chairman and CEO of CaliGroup, a tech conglomerate that not only owns the CaliBurger restaurant chain but also invests in innovative ventures in robotics and artificial intelligence. He also heads CaliGroup's portfolio company, PopID, which focuses on facial recognition payment systems. Despite his impressive resume, Miller maintains a low public profile and rarely seeks the spotlight. Outside of his business ventures, he remains devoted to co-parenting his two children with ex-wife Caroline Campbell, a celebrated violinist who has performed with renowned artists like Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, and Sting. The former couple married in 2005 and divorced in 2011, but are said to maintain a cordial relationship for the sake of their kids. While Garner's life continues to play out in the public eye, Miller seems happy to stay behind the scenes — giving her a steady, drama-free presence away from all the Hollywood noise.
