Scots town with picturesque vista set to host fan favourite whisky festival
A spectacular venue with breathtaking views is set to welcome whisky lovers from all over Scotland and beyond for the Lomond and Clyde Whisky Festival 2025.
Taking place at the picturesque Helensburgh and Lomond Civic Centre on Saturday September 20, the event returns for its second year following a hugely successful debut that impressed both locals and visitors alike, Glasgow Live reports.
Nestled on the banks of the Firth of Clyde, the venue offers stunning vistas across the water, creating the perfect setting for an afternoon or evening of whisky appreciation.
The festival will run over two dedicated sessions: the first in the afternoon from 12pm to 3.30pm, and the second in the evening from 4.30pm until 8pm.
Each ticket grants access to one of these three-and-a-half-hour sessions, providing plenty of time to sample a range of whiskies and chat with exhibitors. The last pour will be served 30 minutes before each session ends.
Included in every ticket is a branded Glencairn whisky glass, a detailed festival programme, bottled water, and a £10 whisky voucher that can be redeemed either at the Royal Mile Whiskies retail stand on the day or online with orders over £40.
Importantly, no additional tokens are needed for general admission, as all whisky and other drinks samples from the exhibitor stands are fully covered by the ticket price.
But the festival offers far more than whisky alone. Guests can expect a wide variety of artisan food and drink options available for purchase throughout the day.
Popular vendors such as Bangin Pizza will be back to serve up freshly made slices, while No Limits Brewing will be supplying craft beers.
An outdoor whisky and cocktail bar will also be available for anyone wanting to sip something different while enjoying the festival atmosphere.
Dedicated whisky tastings from a selection of top-tier brands will run across both sessions, giving enthusiasts the chance to deepen their knowledge and palate.
There will also be live music, creating a vibrant and relaxed backdrop, with a chill-out area and seating set among whisky casks for a truly immersive experience.

A whisky raffle will offer attendees the chance to win prizes, while the on-site retail shop, operated by Royal Mile Whiskies, will stock bottles of many of the drams available to sample during the event.
The organisers said: 'We are delighted to announce the return of the Lomond and Clyde Whisky Festival for 2025. The inaugural event last year was unbelievable and we just want to thank all of you whisky fans who attended. It was an awesome day and the feedback all round was superb.
'This year we are making the festival bigger and better, with more top exhibitors, a renowned retail partner in Royal Mile Whiskies, and the infamous Glasgow -based independent bottler North Star Spirits as our main sponsor for this year's event.'

Killer John left reeling in Emmerdale as new Nate evidence comes to light

It opens wounds for Cain and Tracy (Amy Walsh), who thought they could put the nature of Nate's death to bed and begin to work through their loss. But a fresh round of questioning reignites the pain. The elusive removal man is finally tracked down and suspicions are raised when Tracy shows him a photo and he doesn't recognise the man – Nate – who supposedly hired him. Emmerdale's Mack actor Lawrence Robb speaks out as character 'killed off'
Emmerdale's Mackenzie Boyd actor Lawrence Robb has addressed his upcoming storyline, speaking out for the first time since reports he was being killed off on the ITV soap Mackenzie Boyd actor Lawrence Robb has addressed his next big Emmerdale storyline that will reportedly lead to his exit. Speaking for the first time since the reports emerged, Lawrence promised big scenes ahead. The actor did not comment on whether Mack would be killed or not, or the rumours surrounding a potential departure. The interview was held before the reports were shared, while Mack actor Lawrence did drop some major hints. It comes after it was claimed that Mack will die at the hands of killer John Sugden after he unearths his dark secret. Now, new spoilers for next week appear to back this, when it's said Mack makes a discovery that could change everything. The clue simply reads: "Mack discovers a clue, what has Mack found?" It's very vague but the spoilers in full appear to allude that it's linked to John, and Lawrence has now confirmed this. Asked about what he discovers and what it means, the star confessed it would lead to the moment Mack finally realises he's been right about John all along. He then teased it will land him in serious danger, with "bleak" scenes ahead. But speaking out about working with co-star Oliver Farnworth, who plays killer John, Lawrence had nothing but good things to say. Addressing the "tense" and "not good" scenes they've had to film together, Lawrence said offscreen the pair get along very well, with him calling Oliver "the loveliest man". He shared: "Oh, he's great. What a lovely boy. I've said that several times. I phoned him a couple of weeks ago, just to say how I thought he was doing such a great job, because, you know, playing a psycho like that - it is not easy. "And I do think he's doing a great job. And he is just the most loveliest man. It is surreal working with someone in such a relative close proximity for a while, and to really get to know them better and to just have a laugh with them, but then then do some not very nice scenes." I've hung out with Oasis - the Gallagher brothers say Scots fans got them signed
Daily Record music editor and entertainment writer John Dingwall recalls meeting both Gallagher brothers before - and after - their infamous split. Oasis may have been made in Madchester, but Liam Gallagher says Scots put them on the road to fame. Once the historic trio of Oasis 25 dates conclude at Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium they will have been seen by 200,000 ecstatic fans. But having rubbed shoulders with Liam and big brother Noel on numerous occasions, it's clear they never forget where it began. Before the reunion, Liam told me: 'It's all your fault that we got signed. Blame it on the Glaswegians.' Liam and I met in Glasgow's Radisson Blu hotel in 2013. He referred to the 1993 King Tut's gig where Scots music mogul Alan McGee discovered Oasis and signed them to Creation Records. "All I know is that we were rehearsing with a girl band called Sister Lovers at the Boardwalk [in Manchester] and they said they were going up to support some band,' Liam said. "I think it might have been 18 Wheeler. Sister Lovers suggested we come up and see if we could get a gig, so we were like, 'All right, cool'. "We got a splitter van, jumped into it with a couple of mates and drove up to Scotland. We had a nice day." Oasis wanted a slot on the bottom of the bill but had to plead for the chance to play live. Liam said: "As far as I can remember the geezer was going, 'Who the f*** are you lot? You're not going on'. "There was no fighting or us threatening to burn the building down or anything. "We just said, 'Come on, mate, just let us go on as soon as the doors open'. That was it. 'I said, 'We're cool as f***'. There might have been a bit of an argument, but we weren't there telling him we were going to give him a paper cut or anything like that. "I said, 'Come on, man. We're doing I Am The Walrus, we can't be that bad'. "That got said and he let us go on." Having seen around a dozen Oasis shows from Irvine Beach to Loch Lomond to Maine Road and the infamous bust-up at Glasgow's SECC when Liam walked off due to a plastic bottle having been thrown onstage, Liam wasn't surprised I hadn't made it along to King Tut's. 'It was like Knebworth, wasn't it?' Liam joked. 'In reality, there was nobody there when we played except for Alan McGee. 'There was nobody there for 18 Wheeler either.' He says he didn't even know McGee was in the audience to send their career trajectory supersonic. "He was there, but I had never even heard of Alan McGee," he said. "I'd never even heard of Creation Records, because none of my favourite bands were on the label. "When we came backstage, some guy with ginger hair asked us if we wanted a record deal. "We were like, why not? We went down to London and did the deal." As far back as 2013, he knew Oasis would 'definitely maybe' reform despite not being on good terms with his big brother. He was encouraged by the fact his idol, Stone Roses' singer Ian Brown had told me, 'If I was in the gutter and my kids lived on the kerb, I'd get a job in B&Q before I'd reform the Roses.' That quote went around the world, but the Roses subsequently got back together in 2011. Liam said: "What the Stone Roses said about never reforming is what you say when you are still hurting. "It's what Noel said, and is what I've said about Oasis. "It's what you say when you are still p***ed off with someone, but you can change your mind." Referring to the feud that led to Oasis splitting in 2009, he added: "It wasn't a big thing for me. I've had bigger arguments with my toenails.'
