AEW Might Sign Released WWE Superstar Imminently
AEW might be taking an interest in a former WWE titleholder.
As of late, WWE has been acquiring talents who made waves under the AEW banner. Some of those names include Mariah May, who is known as Blake Monroe on "NXT," Ricky Saints, Penta, Rey Fenix, and Ethan Page.

AEW founder Tony Khan has signed former WWE stars to varying degrees of success. Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and MVP have emerged as a top faction in AEW, and all three men were former champions in WWE.
Could there be another ex-WWE star entering the fray? WrestleVotes reports that AEW has expressed interest in working with Isla Dawn.
The former WWE tag team titleholder was reportedly backstage during a recent TV taping. The internal feel behind the scenes is that Dawn will eventually be working AEW shows.

Dawn was released from her WWE contract back in February. Her former partner, Alba Fyre, remains on the "Friday Night SmackDown" roster.

Fyre is a member of The Secret Hervice stable along with former WWE Women's United States Champion Chelsea Green and Piper Niven.
Dawn's most recent match aired on "WWE Speed" on Feb. 7. She was defeated by Shotzi, who also ended up being released from her WWE deal.
At this time, there's no word on what AEW would have planned for Dawn and whether or not she'll be a singles star or involved in another tag team.
The last time Dawn entered a ring outside of WWE was back on Feb. 15, 2020. She faced Angel Hayze at "Wrestling Experience Scotland Live In Bathgate."

Lauderdale-by-the-Sea celebrates Fourth of July with parade, family fun and fireworks
Steeped in patriotism and small town charm, Lauderdale-by-the-Sea celebrates the nation's independence with its annual Fourth of July Parade and Family Fun Day. The day long celebration features a festive parade, family-friendly activities and a beachfront fireworks display. "It's all about independence, freedom and enjoying our community," resident Sharon Pidgeon said as she watched the parade. The Aufiero family were celebrating their child's first Fourth of July, hoping to impart patriotism at a young age. "To know America is the greatest country and celebrate America and just enjoy this day," Paige Aufiero said. Some showed up dressed in patriotic threads to celebrate America's birthday. "I'm a very big fan of the Fourth of July. We always have a big party. We have to dress the part. We're very proud to be from this country and we're psyched each year," Jill Paden said. The Padens said they've been going to the Lauderdale-by-the-Sea event for years. "We're very proud to be Americans. We're proud to be from this country and I'm proud of our ability to protest, and stand up for what we believe in," Brett Paden said. While Americans are divided on many issues, everyone at the event said the day was about celebrating. "Today is about the birth of America, it's not about politics. Let's just leave all that aside and just celebrate that we're free," resident Cheri Palmer said.

Jayden Daniels' Commanders' Protection Still A Question Mark Ahead Of Training Camp
Jayden Daniels' Commanders' Protection Still A Question Mark Ahead Of Training Camp originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Last season, Washington Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels was sacked 47 times in the regular season, the sixth-most in football. Advertisement Given Jayden's slender build, that isn't ideal. As such, general manager Adam Peters traded for five-time Pro Bowler Laremy Tunsil to solidify the left tackle position, and in doing so, shifted left tackle Brandon Coleman out to right tackle. Plus, the franchise drafted left tackle Josh Conerly Jr. to shore up the left side further, but for Pro Football Network, it is the right-hand side of Daniels' protection that is a worry. "After trading for Laremy Tunsil this offseason, the Washington Commanders effectively fixed their need at LT," Pro Football Network writes. "Now, they'll have to sort out their solution on the opposite end of the offensive line. Advertisement "Brandon Coleman was Washington's starting left tackle year, and he remains a candidate to start at either left guard or at right tackle. Andrew Wylie is the incumbent starter at RT, though he didn't play very well in 2024. First-round rookie Josh Conerly Jr. projects as the long-term starter but is not a natural right tackle and could sit to start 2025." USA TODAY Sports Is Coleman the answer at right tackle? Well, he might have to be, right? We aren't sure if Conerly Jr. will be able to shift to the right side in Year 1, and he also provides backup for Tunsil. Andrew Wylie is another candidate for the right tackle spot, but none of those mentioned above instill any confidence, at least right now, that Daniels will be protected. Advertisement Hence, the need to see things play out in training camp. The Commanders think they've fixed the left-hand side of the line, but now it is the other side with question marks. Let's see if they can be answered in training camp.
