Holloway honoured alongside Klopp and Mourinho at LMA Awards
The Swindon Town manager was one of five presented with a commemorative shield at the LMA Awards Night for reaching 1,000 competitive games in management.
After a four-year hiatus, Holloway finally got above the four-figure mark against his former club Grimsby Town in December as Swindon were victorious by three goals to one.

Alongside the 62-year-old on the stage as they were inducted into the LMA Hall of Fame 1,000 Club was Mourinho, Klopp, David Moyes OBE, and Mick McCarthy, with the cohort having combined to win 46 trophies across their various glittering careers.
LMA Chief Executive Richard Bevan OBE said: 'The association was also proud to induct Ian Holloway, Jürgen Klopp, Mick McCarthy, José Mourinho and David Moyes OBE into the esteemed LMA Hall of Fame 1,000 Club.
'They now join an elite group of pioneering names who have all demonstrated the resilience, commitment and sacrifice required to be a modern-day manager.
'The LMA Hall of Fame 1,000 Club is a celebration of success and longevity in the game, and on behalf of everyone at the LMA, I congratulate all inductees on reaching this outstanding milestone and thank them all for their extraordinary service to our sport.'

Holloway has been in management for over a quarter of a century, starting out as a player-manager at Bristol Rovers, and has had huge success with Queen's Park Rangers, Blackpool, and Crystal Palace, taking the latter two into the Premier League, and will be hoping to add promotion with Swindon to that next season.
The event also saw the LMA hand out their various managerial awards for the season, with Arne Slot taking home the most prestigious honour of Manager of the Year, having delivered Liverpool's second Premier League title in his first season in the job.
Leeds United's Daniel Farke won Championship Manager of the Year, Chris Davies of Birmingham City won the League One prize, Grant McCann in League Two after winning the title with Doncaster Rovers, Sonia Bompastor the Barclays Women's Super League Manager of the Year for her undefeated season with Chelsea Women, and Jay Sadler of Portsmouth Women for the Barclays Women's Championship.
In addition to these, Oliver Glasner, Eddie Howe, Ange Postecoglou, and Renee Slegers all received the LMA John Duncan Award for the historic successes they brought to Crystal Palace, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Arsenal Women, respectively.

Hamilton Accies made it back-to-back wins in League One as they eased past Queen of the South in Dumfries. And boss John Rankin felt his side should have delivered a more handsome victory against a side he sees as favourites for the League One title. He told the club media: "I'm delighted. I said before the game that Queen of the South are favourites for the league and coming here to a difficult ground - they've got a great record here, especially last season - we wanted to put a marker down and set the tone. "And I thought we matched the physicality of them at the start of the game and we grew it into it. "Smudger [Connor Smith] scores a great goal to start it off, then after that I felt we had another two or three chances that we didn't capitalise on. The goalkeeper, to be fair to him, makes some really good saves and, at that point, you are thinking it is going to be one of those days. "But just before half-time, we got the second goal. It is a great goal, a great bit of play and sets us up at half-time. "As much as the first half was good for us, I felt there were more goals in it for us but we just weren't ruthless enough. That is the disappointing part. "But I've got to give the players credit. They rode the storm, they remained calm, they did the things that we were asking them to do, and it came to fruition in the second half. "We played some really good football and the goal from Steveie Bradley is great. I'd have taken a 4-1 before the game but the disappointing part is that we've given away a goal. We need to start the second half better than we did. "There was a calmness and maturity after conceding the goal. They never felt flustered or anxious and that is the pleasing part." Accies broke the deadlock in 28 minutes when Smith fired a sensational strike into the back of the net from fully 35 yards and just 10 minutes later Telfer said 'anything you can do, I can do better'. Playing his second league game as a trialist, the midfielder launched an unstoppable half-volley from 35-yards to leave the hosts stunned and grab his second goal in as many games. Lyon reminded Accies they were still in a game when he pulled one back just moments into the second half, but in 53 minutes Smith slotted home his second of the day and Bradley netted the clincher in 61 minutes to send Accies up the road with all the spoils. Accies now face Motherwell B on Wednesday night in their opening game of the KDM Evolution Trophy, which is being played in a Champions League style format this season, before hosting East Fife on Saturday in the league. Rankin added: "There's boys needing minutes and we need to make sure we utilise the squad. We have small squad and we have to make sure there's no knocks. "Steven has got a tight groin - that's why he came off - so we don't want to push him too far. Barry [Maguire] is coming back in after having a tight groin. "It is a game we are looking forward to and primes us for a long season."

Charles Oliveira: Max Holloway BMF title fight 'definitely going to happen at some point'
Charles Oliveira still sees a fight with BMF champion Max Holloway on the horizon. After retaining his BMF title against Dustin Poirier in the UFC 318 headliner last month, Holloway (27-8 MMA, 23- 8 UFC) acknowledged Oliveira as a potential option for his next fight. The pair fought in a Fight Night main event in August 2015, where Oliveira injured his esophagus in a first-round TKO loss. Holloway accused Oliveira (35-11 MMA, 23-11 UFC) of making excuses. "There's also Oliveira," Holloway told the UFC after defeating Poirier at UFC 318. "I heard he was yapping saying he had an injury when we fought. Last time I checked, when they did a follow-up and they wanted to find what the injury was, there was no injury report on it. They said he was fine, so I have no idea what the hell he's talking about." Oliveira, who meets Rafael Fiziev (13-4 MMA, 7-4 UFC) in the UFC Fight Night 261 headliner on Oct. 11 in Rio, brushed off Holloway's shots, and isn't ruling out a rematch down the line. "Man, I think everyone wants to see that fight," Oliveira told Thunderpick of Holloway. "It's definitely going to happen at some point. Whatever people say doesn't really matter to me. Everybody knows I was injured. I spent two days in the hospital, why would I do that for nothing? That's just part of the game. He's a great fighter. He's the BMF champ. So why not make it happen later on? For now, let's stay focused on this fight, and then we'll see."

Harvey Knibbs and Jayden Wareham among former Reading stars making scoring starts
It was a weekend of mixed results and performances for the those who departed Reading over the summer across the Football League. While League One was on its second matchday of the season- the Royals going down 2-0 to Huddersfield Town- the Championship kick-started on Friday night with Ipswich Town drawing 1-1 at newly-promoted Birmingham City. Harvey Knibbs, Amadou Mbengue and Tyler Bindon all made their first appearances for their new sides, to differing levels of success. Take a look below for a rundown on how the former Royals go on. Harvey Knibbs- Charlton Athletic Enjoying the best debut of anyone who left Reading, the two-time top scorer made a scoring start for the Addicks despite not featuring once in pre-season. Starting on the bench at The Valley, the 26-year-old came onto the pitch with 10 minutes to go and was jogging on the spot in the 94th-minute to side-foot home the winner against Watford to make it a winning start for Nathan Jones' side. Amadou Mbengue- Queens Park Rangers Cheeseburger was named in the starting side for the R's at home to Preston North End and played the entire match at Loftus Road. Taking a lead just before half-time, the two sides had to settle for a point apiece in an entertaining 1-1 draw on the opening day. Blackburn Rovers were defeated with Isaac Price's 15th-minute strike, but the hosts had to battle stoppage time with 10 men after Darnell Furlong's sending off. Jayden Wareham- Exeter City Wareham enjoyed his home debut for Exeter, scoring and picking up an assist as Blackpool were blown away 4-1. Scoring at St James Park for Reading in a 2-1 win last season, the young striker has hit the ground running in Grecians colours, wearing the number nine shirt with the blessing of Adam Stansfield's family. Caylan Vickers- Barnsley Young midfielder Vickers made a scoring start to life at Oakwell as Barnsley came from behind to beat Burton Albion 3-2. The Brewers led 2-0 by half-time, but Vickers started the comeback 10 minutes into the second half and regular scorers Davis Keillor-Dunn and David McGoldrick added one each to turn zero points into three at Oakwell. Michael Craig- Leyton Orient Leaving the Royals on a free over the summer to move to East London, Craig came off the bench with three minutes remaining to help the O's earn their first points of the season. Losing 3-0 at Huddersfield Town last Saturday, with Craig not included in the squad, the versatile defender returned as Ritchie Wellens' side beat Wigan Athletic 2-0 at Brisbane Road. Abraham Kanu- Forest Green Rovers On loan in Gloucestershire under the management of Robbie Savage, Kanu played the entire match as FGR drew 2-2 at Solihull Moors in the first match of the National League campaign.
