Meg and Dejon were an original couple, with the pair having first coupled up on day one of the hit series.
The couple had a steady yet rocky time in the villa, with their relationship tested several time when Dejon wanted to get to know other women - and fans had their fair share to say about the romance.
Now, the reality star has revealed how he nearly quit the show, after feeling 'lost and confused.'
Talking to the Mail, Dejon said: 'As the show went on, I felt very lost. I felt very confused. I wanted to go home, really and truly, many times especially when me and Meg were really good and I knew she was for me and I was 100 per cent sure that we would work on the outside world, I wanted to go home.
'The viewers will have seen me joking around but they won't have seen that I have feelings, I have a lot of feelings, but it's hard for me to show them.'
The 26-year-old continued: 'I usually deal with my feelings alone and I would cry alone in my room or by myself but when you're on TV and you're feeling upset and you know the whole nation is watching you but not only that, I'm living with people and there was no place to be by yourself and let things out.
'Harry really helped me with that, Meg, and Helena, she was going through her struggles, and that broke my heart, I had a lot of empathy, and I definitely feel I am a very empathetic person; I can definitely feel other people's pain.'
The semi-pro footballer also spoke about his and Meg's negative experience coming out of the villa, revealing why they turned the comments off on their social media.
'I was away for altogether 10 weeks from the beginning to basically the end. I was in a bubble with no phone and not knowing what was happening on the outside world.

'The first thing that I did when I got my phone back was speak to my friends and family, but my phone was flooded with backlash and hateful messages.
'It got so bad that me and Meg have both decided to turn the comments off, the messages we have both received are no good for our mental health.
'Everyone is coming for me online. I've had everything, death threats, racist comments, hateful comments, I've had everything you could think of.'
After leaving the villa, Meg and Dejon and revealed their plan to 'prove everyone wrong'.
LOVE ISLAND VOTING PERCENTAGES
TONI and Cach won the Love Island 2025 final - yet what were the exact voting percentages?
Las Vegas waitress Toni Laites and professional dancer Cach Mercer went head-to-head with OG islanders Shakira Khan and Harry Cooksley in a nail-biting finale.
However, Toni and Cach were triumphant and won the summer series after surviving a love triangle just two weeks before the final.
A results table shared on Love Island's Instagram account this afternoon showed Toni and Cach were the runaway winners on the night, taking over a third of the votes, with 33.5% of viewers backing them for the crown.
However, Shakira and Harry drew a sizeable 26.2% of the votes, and Yas and Jamie were not far behind taking 22% on the nose.
Aesthetics practitioner Angel, 26, only made her debut on July 17, but managed to secure an impressive 18.3% of the overall voting audience with Casa Amor boy Ty.
When asked what was next for the pair, Meg, who recently sparked outrage by mentioning the cameras on the show, responded: 'Proving to everyone we are actually going to stay together!
'Spending time together and introducing one another to family and friends.'
Dejon echoed her words, adding: 'I definitely want to have a conversation with her family, get to know them and have her meet my family so they can see the real us.
'A lot of the Islanders saw how genuine we were and I have no doubt it will be like that with our families.
'After that, hopefully we can move in together as I can't imagine not living with her.'

One viewer posted on X (previously Twitter), "Madeley's back," with another commenting, "Madeley back on presenting." A third remarked, "Oh Joy. Madeley," whilst a fourth audience member similarly posted, "Richard Madeley back on @gmb." A fifth supporter reflected this feeling, stating: "Happy Days, our own Walter Mitty Richard Madeley." Last month, Richard disclosed he would be taking time off, mere days after main presenter Susanna Reid confirmed her summer absence from the programme. Another chimed in with: "Any other news?" while a third questioned: "Why is an interview with Sturgeon a big thing?" Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX at 6am

Tipping Point has one big secret most people never guess, winner says
Tipping Point has one big secret most people never guess, winner says Tony, who walked away from the show with thousands, says Ben Shephard had one 11-word instruction for the players Tony on Tipping Point with host Ben Shephard A TV regular who has appeared in a number of major game shows has revealed the secrets from behind the scenes of ITV's Tipping Point. Quiz show and TV regular Tony Fillingham, 51, from Cheshire, has become a familiar face on the small screen over the years. He's racked up an impressive list of appearances, taking part in popular daytime favourites such as Tipping Point – where he bagged £2,700 – and Tenable, where he and his team walked away with a huge £45,000 jackpot. Outside the quiz show circuit, Tony has also been seen on Emmerdale, Extreme Diet Hotel, and Steph and Dom's One Star to Five Star. He even teamed up with Kate Garraway for Channel 5's never-aired gameshow 5 Second Stars, where he secured an incredible £23,000 prize. Unfortunately, because the show was pulled before broadcast, Tony never saw a penny of those winnings. Tonyo yold what it's really like to be on Tipping Potins - and the one secret most people don't guess. He said: "It's not like other shows. For example, I was team captain on Tenable, and from getting accepted to actually filming, there was a good four or five weeks — maybe more. 'So what I did for Tenable was get the lads together every Tuesday. I told them, 'Go find 10 top 10s' — like the 10 biggest US states, or the 10 longest rivers — whatever. We'd meet up at someone's house and test each other, trying to recreate the game as best we could. 'And it paid off. One of the rounds we practised — the biggest US states — came up on the actual show, and one of the lads nailed it. He got 8 out of 10, so that was £10,000 in the bank. That prep made a difference'. He added: "With Tipping Point, they record your intro, then you go straight into the game. When someone's eliminated after Round One, they leave, the crew comes in, rejigs the set — moves a podium, shifts things about — and a few minutes later, you're back on. 'It's all super quick, very real-time'. Tony on Tenable And he said there's one thing viewers would never guess happens behind the scenes of Tipping Point, adding: 'It's not even that it's behind the scenes — it's just something I never expected. The biggest shock for me was the actual machine you drop the coins into. 'They took us over to meet the independent adjudicator — this older woman with white gloves. Turns out, when you press the drop button on the show, it's not connected to anything. Nothing at all. That button is a decoy. 'There's a woman standing behind the machine, wearing those gloves, watching you. When you press the button, she's the one who actually drops the coin. It blew my mind! I always thought it was an automated machine, but nope. Total surprise'. He added: "You don't control the timing. It's all down to her. Sometimes I'd hit the button and think, 'Why hasn't she dropped it yet?' You're basically at her mercy. 'When I got to the end, the jackpot counter was bang in the middle of Drop Zone 4. If it had been a machine, I'd have taken the trade for three extra counters. But I didn't trust the manual drop; it's out of your hands. 'I get rinsed on X/Twitter every time my episode airs for not taking the trade. But my wife warned me not to gamble. And the whole reason I went on the show was to get my daughter a car. I had enough to do that and pay the insurance. The thought of coming home empty-handed after losing it - I couldn't stomach it. 'They make you play on anyway, and funnily enough, I did knock the jackpot counter over after that. So I could've walked away with £10,000 instead of £2,700. For me, the £2,700 was 100% worth it. That was the whole point: to buy my daughter a car and sort her insurance. She just started uni, and to me, that money means a lot. I'm a taxi driver, it's not life-changing, but it's significant. Article continues below 'It was also an incredible experience. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who thinks they can give it a go. Oh, and by the way - you keep everything you win. Completely tax-free. Also, if you knock over a prize counter, you win random extras. Ben Shephard even said to us, 'The prizes aren't great, but can you pretend to be excited?' 'I won 'Picnic at the Proms,' which turned out to be a concert on damp grass at Warwick Castle, no actual picnic included.'
