Are Rachel and Carrington From ‘Perfect Match' Dating?

It's been nearly a week since Perfect Match aired its season 3 finale but still fans are asking: Is anyone (besides AD Smith and Ollie Sutherland, ofc) together anymore? Chances are you've heard that fan-fave couple Rachel Recchia and Ray Gantt (aka Rachel Ray) couldn't make things last outside the villa, but fans think the former Bachelorette *could* be romancing someone else from the person being Carrington Rodriguez. Allow me to explain. Right after the finale dropped, the fate of Rachel Ray was revealed through an interview with Elite Daily. In it, Rachel said the vibe between herself and the Love Island USA alum felt too platonic to blossom into something more, explaining, 'We were super late in the process when we formed a relationship, so it didn't have much time to progress past friendship.' Then, on August 19, she posted a carousel of images from her time on Perfect Match to concluded with this pretty cozy-looking photo of herself and Carrington. Cue the dating rumors. If you need a refresher: Rachel and Carrington did plenty of flirting on PM (and admitted they were attracted to the other) but never ended up matching on the show. Hence why the above pic kinda threw fans for a loop. 'Never in a million years would have put you and Carrington together but since the show I'm DYINNNNNNG to see it work out,' one fan wrote in the comments section of her post. Another chimed in with, 'Is this a hard launch at the end??????!!' while yet another commenter wrote, 'Knew Carrington was meant to be.' Side note: During an August 5 appearance on The Viall Files podcast, Rachel hinted that she was possibly seeing one of her PM she didn't say who. 'I might be talking to someone,' she teased, noting that the person in question was 'not Freddie' (who, for the record, is rumored to be with Lucy Syed following the finale). Time will tell whether these two are actually an item—but as long as Rachel doesn't get back together with Clayton Echard again, I'm happy!!!

Laura Coates Uses Trump's Own Words to Shatter ‘Woke' Smithsonian Claims: ‘Couldn't Have Said It Better Myself, Mr. President'

In 2017, Trump called the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture a "beautiful tribute to so many American heroes" CNN's Laura Coates took issue Tuesday night with President Donald Trump's repeated claims that the Smithsonian Institute has gone 'out of control' with woke content and used some of his own words from 2017 to prove him wrong. Trump took to Truth Social Tuesday to announce that he has instructed his attorneys to review the Smithsonian's museums. Elise Stefanik's Home District Boos Are a 'Terrible Sign' for Republicans | Video Shonda Rhimes Says Self-Censorship Is Palpable as Networks Cower to Trump 'The Smithsonian is OUT OF CONTROL, where everything discussed is how horrible our Country is, how bad Slavery was, and how unaccomplished the downtrodden have been,' Trump wrote. 'This Country cannot be WOKE, because WOKE IS BROKE.' Among the museums that Trump has targeted is the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture, which Coates was quick to point out Tuesday. The CNN anchor was also quick to note that, contrary to his recent claims, Trump had nothing but good things to say about the museum in question after he toured it in 2017. To prove her point, Coates played a clip of the speech Trump gave following his visit. 'This museum is a beautiful tribute to so many American heroes. It's amazing to see,' Trump said at the time. 'We did a pretty comprehensive tour, but not comprehensive enough. So, [Smithsonian Secretary] Lonnie [Bunch III] I'll be back. I told you that. Because I could stay here for a lot longer, believe me. It's really incredible. This tour was a meaningful reminder of why we have to fight bigotry, intolerance, and hatred in all of its very ugly forms.' You can watch the clip yourself in the video below. For her part, Coates took particular issue with Trump's insistence that the museums his administration is reviewing focus only on suffering and oppression. 'Yes, it goes into the unvarnished truth of slavery in America, the brutal reality that millions endured and the impact that's still felt today,' Coates acknowledge about the National Museum of African American History and Culture. 'But the museum, if you actually go to it rather than just talk about it and see it on paper from a Truth Social post, it doesn't only focus on suffering. It is about resilience and achievement and celebration. Umbrella? History.' The CNN anchor noted that the museum highlights the achievements of Black icons like Muhammad Ali, Louis Armstrong, Jim Brown, Gabby Douglas and Carl Lewis. 'If that's woke, then maybe woke just means telling the whole story because every exhibition that I've just mentioned showcases exactly what Trump says that he wants: success, brightness, a look toward the future,' Coates argued. Responding to Trump's 2017 remark that the museum is a 'reminder of why we have to fight bigotry, intolerance, and hatred in all of its very ugly forms,' Coates concluded, '[I] couldn't have said it better myself, Mr. President.' Oscar Isaac Is Ready to Be a ‘Star Wars' Again

Oscar Isaac is a perpetually busy actor, and though he's made his share of dramas, he's particularly beloved by genre fans for his work in that realm: Dune, Moon Knight, Ex Machina, the Spider-Verse series, and even those animated Addams Family movies. But atop that mountain sits Star Wars, featuring Isaac as rebel pilot Poe Dameron across the sequel trilogy. With Poe surviving the events of The Rise of Skywalker, might there be a chance fans will see him again? Speaking to Variety in a new interview about Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein, featuring Isaac as monster-maker Victor Frankenstein, he was asked if he'd ever return as Poe Dameron. In response, the actor went right to another big franchise: The Simpsons. (Somehow, he hasn't done a voice on the long-running show?) Specifically, he does a Ralph Wiggum imitation, since the piece describes him using 'a high-pitched child's voice' to reply, 'I'm a Star Wars.' All joking aside, though, he went on to add, 'Yeah, I'd be a Star Wars again if there was something good to do with that.' It's just an aside in the article—which is full of fun details about Frankenstein—and it's something Isaac has commented on before, but it's still an intriguing idea. Earlier this year, fellow sequel star John Boyega said at a fan convention that he was also tentatively open to returning to Star Wars, despite his less-than-pleasant experience with its more toxic fans. Might we see a Finn-Poe reunion if that Rey movie ever gets off the ground? Would you be excited to see these jacket-sharing pals get the band back together if so? Want more io9 news?
