CM Yogi attends all-party meet chaired by Speaker
Besides Adityanath, Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Khanna, Leader of Opposition Mata Prasad Pandey (Samajwadi Party), Minister Sanjay Nishad, Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party (SBSP) leader Om Prakash Rajbhar, Congress MLA Aradhana Mishra, BSP MLA Umashankar Singh, and independent MLA Kunwar Raghuraj Pratap Singh 'Raja Bhaiya' were present in the meeting.
Several issues, including running the House smoothly and agenda to be taken up, were discussed during the meeting, a senior official said.
Earlier, Chief Minister Adityanath inaugurated the newly constructed dome at the entrance of the Vidhan Bhavan and the Assembly hall.
He also inaugurated the renovated Assembly hall number 15 and a VVIP canteen.
Adityanath on Sunday assured that the state government would provide full financial assistance for the treatment of serious illnesses.
According to an official statement, the chief minister made the remarks while interacting with people seeking aid for critical medical treatment during the Janata Darshan at the Gorakhnath temple.
He urged them to get treated at the best hospitals without worry, stating that the government would bear the entire cost of treatment.

Balakrishna launches Basavatarakam cancer hospital works
Vijayawada: The construction of a new, state-of-the-art cancer care campus for Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute (BIACH&RI) has officially begun in, a part of Andhra Pradesh's capital region. The foundation stone was laid on Wednesday by the hospital's chairman, Nandamuri Balakrishna, in a traditional puja ceremony. The project, which faced significant delays after its initial foundation stone was laid in 2019, is now moving forward following the new state government's decision to clear all hurdles and allot an additional six acres of land. The new facility will be built on a total of 21 acres. Speaking at the launch, Balakrishna explained that the new campus is envisioned as a 'Centre of Excellence' for comprehensive cancer treatment, research, and patient care. The facility will integrate cutting-edge medical technology with a multidisciplinary approach. The second phase will add another 500 beds, bringing the total capacity to 1,000. It will include the development of specialised departments, research wings, and enhanced patient amenities, with the goal of creating a regional referral center for complex cancer cases. The launch event was attended by several dignitaries, including Assembly Speaker Ch Ayyanna Patrudu, ministers P Narayana and Y Satya Kumar, along with MP Kesineni Shivnath, MLA Tenali Sravan Kumar, Dr Undavalli Sridevi and other prominent leaders and officials. Trust board members, including Dr Dattatreyudu Nori and Nara Brahmani, were also present. In his remarks, Balakrishna expressed his gratitude to all donors and supporters, emphasising that the project would carry forward the hospital's legacy of compassion and excellence. Dr. Senthil Rajappa, head of Medical Oncology, assured that medical services at the new facility would be operational by 2028.

Brajesh Pathak presents roadmap to make UP number one in every sector
1 2 Lucknow: Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak on Wednesday presented the 'health vision document' in the Assembly. He outlined the govt's ambitious roadmap to make the state number one in every sector, particularly healthcare. Pathak said the vision of 'Viksit Bharat 2047' goes beyond infrastructure such as buildings and roads. It encompasses ensuring health, dignity, and equitable opportunities for every citizen. "Prime Minister Narendra Modi is advancing on the path of development guided by the mantra of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas'. Our priority is to provide quality healthcare to all without financial hardship," he told the House. The document presented the govt's goals, achievements, and policy priorities for 2027, 2030, and 2047. Pathak said the National Health Policy 2017, which focuses on affordable, quality healthcare for all, preventive care, and primary health services, forms the core of state policy. Under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, each family receives annual coverage of up to Rs 5 lakh. Uttar Pradesh, Pathak said, emerged as a frontrunner in implementing the scheme, along with the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission, and eSanjeevani telemedicine services. By 2027, the govt aims to provide treatment coverage to every family, achieve 100% e-KYC for eligible households under PM-JAY, distribute gold cards, integrate state-level fraud risk monitoring with helplines, and expand digitisation across the health sector. All Ayushman Arogya Mandirs will be equipped with biomedical lab networks, and public health laboratories will be strengthened. Greater use of telehealth services and expansion of medical education are also planned. By 2030, targets include reducing maternal and infant mortality rates, improving disease control, and raising the quality of medical education. So far, 5.34 crore Ayushman cards have been issued under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and the Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana, benefiting 70.36 lakh patients with free treatment worth Rs 11,123 crore. Bird flu scare prompts Yogi to ordermeasures to check H5 virus outbreak
1 2 Lucknow: Taking cognisance of the potential threat of bird flu, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday directed concerned departments to coordinate and take measures to prevent the prevalence of the H5 virus in the state. He said that efforts should be stepped up in all zoos, sanctuaries, national parks, etc. On Monday, the bird flu virus was diagnosed in the poultry birds in Rampur after an estimated 15,000 chickens died. The chief minister also instructed the health department to conduct an in-depth study of the potential impacts of H5 avian influenza on human health and present a report to prevent any chain of infection from reaching human society. Stating that the protection of protected animals and birds is the top priority of the state govt, and any negligence will not be tolerated, the chief minister said that guidelines issued by the central and state govts should be implemented strictly in all zoos, bird sanctuaries, national parks, wetland areas, and cow shelters in the state. He further added that zoo premises should be regularly sanitised and, if necessary, blow torching should be carried out. The chief minister has made it mandatory for health checks to be carried out for all wildlife and birds, and food should be provided only after thorough examination. To ensure protection for handlers as well, he added that duties of employees appointed in enclosures should be determined based on the risk level. "All employees should be given detailed information about the symptoms of avian influenza, modes of infection, and preventive measures. Additionally, they should be provided with all necessary safety equipment, including PPE kits, so they can perform their duties safely," he said. Focusing on the poultry sector, the chief minister directed that all poultry farms in the state should be strictly monitored while continuous control should be maintained over the movement of poultry products. The state govt will be in regular touch with national institutions, including the Central Zoo Authority, National Centre for Disease Control, Ministry of Health, Department of Fisheries and Dairy, and Indian Veterinary Research Institute in Bareilly. "Timely, coordinated, and strict action will pave the way for effective control of this potential infection. All relevant departments must work with mutual cooperation and rapid information exchange to ensure the safety of both the citizens and wildlife of the state," he said.
