Andrew Lloyd Webber wants Nicole Scherzinger for Sunset Boulevard movie

Andrew Lloyd Webber wants Nicole Scherzinger to star in a movie adaptation of Sunset Boulevard. Nicole, 47, recently ended her run as Norma Desmond in the much-hyped revival of Lloyd Webber's classic musical on Broadway and the pair are hoping to team up again to bring the project to the big screen. A source told The Mirror: 'Andrew wants to make the movie with Nicole. He feels the momentum after the Broadway run needs to be harnessed. 'There is a sense that this is closer than ever now which, for Andrew, will be a delight, given the years he's worked for it. 'Andrew feels Nicole and the cast have the appeal to bring musicals back to the Oscars. People forget the film versions of Les Miserables and Chicago both blew up in cinemas and scored rafts of awards.' Nicole previously won the Best Actress in a Musical prize at the UK's Laurence Olivier Awards, while Sunset Boulevard also scooped prizes for supporting actors, Best Director for Lloyd as well as Best Lighting, Sound, Outstanding Musical Contribution and Best Musical Revival. It was also a huge hit at the Tony Awards with Nicole winning the Best Actress in a Musical gong. Meanwhile, Nicole previously admitted she would love to reprise the role for a movie adaptation. She told The Hollywood Reporter: 'There has been some talk. That is my dream, so I'm manifesting that right now.'

Jonas Brothers Rock From the Rooftop in Inspiring Video For Bouncy Single ‘I Can't Lose'

The Jonas Brothers dropped the latest preview of their upcoming seventh studio album, Greetings From Your Hometown, on Wednesday morning (July 16). The bouncy, ready for hot fun in the summertime single 'I Can't Lose' is an homage to a love that makes everything feel right, even when things are going wrong. 'I woke up late, missed the alarm, can't find the keys to my car/ What do you know? Power went out, I'm getting dressed in the dark/ Finally got out the door, but on the way, they cancelled my flight/ Nothing's working anymore, feels like I'm losing my mind,' Joe Jonas sings on the first verse of the bubbling tune that features Joe teaming with Nick on the keening chorus of the track that will be featured on the LP due out on Aug. 8. The positive energy carries over into the performance video for the single, which mixes footage of the Brothers singing on a New York rooftop for a group of select fans with images of cancer survivors celebrating the end of treatment and receiving loving support from their families. The song was first featured as the official anthem of ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball coverage and the uplifting video debuted in partnership with Mastercard in support of Stand Up To Cancer during Tuesday night's (July 15) 2025 MLB All-Star game. 'We debuted 'I Can't Lose' – a song about love, strength, and showing up for the people you love. Dedicated to all of those who Stand Up To Cancer,' the band said in a statement. 'Teaming up with Mastercard to uplift fans who've found hope and healing in our music means so much to us. 'I Can't Lose' is a song we hope can carry different meanings for everyone who hears it and, for those who need it, a reminder of their own strength.' 'I Can't Lose' follows the trio's most recent single, the Bee Gees-interpolating disco pop single 'No Time To Talk.' So far, they've also previewed the album with the songs 'Love Me to Heaven' and the Marshmello collab 'Slow Motion.' The JoBros will kick off their 2025 JONAS20: Greetings From Your Hometown tour on Aug. 10 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. Check out the 'I Can't Lose' video below. The Jonas Brothers Wave Hello to New Album ‘Greetings From Your Hometown': Stream It Now

The Jonas Brothers are saying hello to a new era with the release of album Greetings From Your Hometown, which dropped Friday (Aug. 8). Marking the band's seventh studio album, Greetings features 14 tracks, including previously released singles 'I Can't Lose,' 'Love Me to Heaven,' 'No Time to Talk' and 'Slow Motion.' It comes four months after the JoBros first announced the LP at JONASCON, and two years after the trio last dropped an album, with 2023's The Album reaching No. 3 on the Billboard 200. 'This album is filled with pieces of that, lifelong influences from our childhood and the sounds that we grew up on.' The JoBros have now released three albums since getting back together in 2019. Before that, the siblings took about 10 years apart to pursue solo projects after feeling unable to resolve internal disagreements about the band's future, eventually reuniting on album Happiness Begins, which spawned their first-ever No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with 'Sucker.' Leading up to the release of Greetings, the brothers have been reflecting in recent interviews on how they've grown since their temporary split. 'It needed to happen,' Joe said on an episode of Mythical Kitchen's Last Meals series. 'We were having such a difficult time just being real with each other back then. Now it's like we can communicate way better, because we don't need to be scared to have tough conversations.' Listen to Greetings From Your Hometown below.
