Orlando Pirates ban Orbit College stars, including Saleng!
Monnapule Saleng will NOT feature whenever Orbit College come up against Orlando Pirates this season. This is because of a clause Pirates inserted when striking a season-long loan deal with Orbit College. And it's NOT only Saleng who will be affected by the said clause but Thuso Moleleki and Yanga Madiba as well. The three players were deemed surplus to requirements by Pirates this season, but Orbit came to the fore to sign them. Orbit College are scheduled to face Pirates in the league on 26 August at Orlando Stadium. The return fixture is penciled for 23 May 2026 at Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg. I wasn't really close to joining Chiefs, says new Sundowns star
Newly-signed Mamelodi Sundowns star Fawaaz Basadien has revealed that he was never close to joining Kaizer Chiefs. Basadien was a top performer for Stellenbosch FC last season, and speculation around his future was rife. Chiefs were, at some point, reported to be closing in on Basadien but the Bafana Bafana defender has stated otherwise. Basadien was speaking to Robert Marawa on MSW on 947 where he revealed that he always wanted to join Sundowns. Nonetheless, the left-footed player admitted that there were behind-the-scene talks for him to move to Chiefs but nothing came out of those.
