Amazon offers four more free games for Prime Day, including Marvel's Midnight Suns
The highly acclaimed Dark Forces II carries on the story of Kyle Katarn, a young mercenary who has infiltrated the Empire and learns he has a connection to the Force. Amnesia: The Dark Descent is a first-person survival horror title from 2010. Critics praised its novel 'sanity" gameplay feature, smart writing and immersive nature, and it is regarded as one of the most influential games in its genre.
Marvel's Midnight Suns is a much more recent game. This is a 2022 turn-based tactical RPG from Firaxis, which is also known for the Civilization and XCOM series. Although the game struggled commercially, it was broadly critically acclaimed.
As for Football Manager 2024 , that remains the most recent entry in the long-running (and time-absorbing) soccer management sim series. Sports Interactive cancelled the 2025 edition in February after months of delays due to development issues. The next instalment should arrive later this year, including the major technical and visual upgrades that were promised for FM25 .
In the meantime, you can scoop up the previous edition for zilch if you're a Prime member. However, you'll only have until 11:59PM PT on July 11 to do so. The other three titles will remain in the Prime Gaming lineup for the rest of the month.
Along with these freebies, Amazon is offering various discounts on the Luna Controller during Prime Day in the US, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden and Belgium. In the US, Amazon has slashed the price of the Luna Controller by 43 percent to $40. A bundle that includes one month of Luna+ access is the same price (also 43 percent off). Meanwhile, a bundle of the controller and the Fire TV Stick 4K will currently run you $60 , which is half off. Remember that you'll need to be a Prime member to take advantage of these deals.

A 15-year old made millions from a card game he invented at age 7. He just sold it to a major toy company
PlayMonster games has bought Taco vs. Burrito for an undisclosed amount. The game was invented by a 7-year old, who, with his parents' help, has steer it to over 1.5 million sold units. Creator Alex Butler says, despite its success, 'It was never something that I've been attached to or anything.' Alex Butler was just seven years old when he made his first million dollars. A game he had invented, called Taco vs Burrito, had made it to Amazon—and by the end of 2018, it had rung up sales of about $1.1 million. Now, after overseeing the game's empire with his parents, Butler has sold the rights to the game to PlayMonster, whose other well-known products include Spirograph, Farkle, and Yeti in my Spaghetti. Terms of the deal were not announced, but Taco vs. Burrito (which retails for $20 on Amazon) has sold 1.5 million copies life to date. The game also has two expansion packs. PlayMonster says it will continue to expand the game and a version in a collector's tin is coming later this year. Butler, who is now 15, says he's not especially sad to see his creation move on. It was, he says, never really something he wanted to keep doing for the rest of his life. 'It was never something that I've been attached to or anything,' he told The Seattle Times. 'It's not super important to me. I just kind of wanted to get the most money out of it.' Alex's mother is an entrepreneur herself, so when her son came up with the idea after playing card games like Exploding Kittens, she encouraged him. The family would walk to the neighborhood coffee shop/hangout to test the prototype, which would lead to Alex coming up with a new take on the rules. To cover production costs, he mother launched an online fundraiser, which brought in $25,000. Alex's parents set up a holding company for the game (of which Alex was the majority owner), found a manufacturer, and put the game on Amazon. It quickly took off and never slowed down. While there have been buyout offers in the past, the family said they never felt right. When they began speaking with PlayMonster, things did. Don't expect another game anytime soon from Alex, though. His interests have shifted to music production, sports, and video games, he says. Ice Cube's ‘War of the Worlds' Film Has a 0% Rating on ‘Rotten Tomatoes' & Cube's Son Is Weighing In
Ice Cube's latest movie is off to a slow start on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes. According to 15 critics (and counting), War of the Worlds so far has a zero percent rating on the Tomatometer scale, while thousands of moviegoers have given it at 14 percent rating on the Popcornmeter. One review in particular, from Variety's Peter Debruge knocked the film for essentially doubling as a commercial for Amazon, writing, 'Even with a Prime subscription, you have to sit through two minutes of ads to watch 90 more of what amounts to a feature-length commercial for all things Amazon,' while another from The Telegraph's Ed Power wasn't really into all the screen time Cube got, saying, 'It is silly, shoddy and features far too much of rapper-turned-leading man Ice Cube staring at a computer screen while looking as if he's working through a reasonably urgent digestive ailment.' More from Billboard Ice Cube Tries to Save the World in First Trailer For Ominous 'War of the Worlds' Remake Homeland Security Tweets 'South Park' Image as ICE Recruitment Tool Elvis Presley's Official Online Store Has T-Shirts, Hoodies & More New Merch An adaptation of H. G. Wells' classic 1898 novel The War of the Worlds, this version is an Amazon Prime production directed by Rich Lee and also starring Eva Longoria. Cube plays Will Radford, a surveillance expert at the Department of Homeland Security, and most of the movie takes place on his computer screen as he deals with a hacker and an alien invasion while trying to keep his family out of harm's way. The synopsis on Prime Video reads as follows: 'A gargantuan invasion is coming with this fresh take on the legendary novel of the same name. Renowned actress Eva Longoria is joined by iconic rapper and actor Ice Cube, along with Michael O'Neill and Iman Benson, for a thrilling out-of-this-world adventure that is filled with present-day themes of technology, surveillance, and privacy.' Cube's son, actor O'Shea Jackson Jr., replied to a tweet on X of a video clip from the movie in which an Amazon Prime delivery person tells Cube's character to cop a USB from Amazon, so he can deliver it via Prime Air with a drone. 'I truly can't believe this adaptation of War Of The Worlds is actually a real film with a real budget and Ice Cube is actually in it,' a fan posted, with Jackson replying that the movie was 'Shot during the pandemic. Released 5 years later.' Billboard has reached out to Ice Cube's team for comment.
