Two further arrests in attempted murder probe after County Durham car wash shooting
The men, in their 20s and 40s respectively, were arrested in Newcastle city centre last night on suspicion of attempted murder.
A man who was initially arrested on suspicion of the same offence, following the incident at Lanchester Hand Car Wash remains in custody.
Police were called to reports of shots being fired at the car wash, just before 7.30pm on Monday (August 11).
It is believed a car pulled onto the forecourt of the business, where four men had arrived a short time earlier, police said.

A man in his 50s suffered pellet injuries to his chest, face, forehead, and eye. He was treated by paramedics at the scene but declined hospital treatment.
Officers from Durham Police are continuing their investigation and are appealing for the public's help.
Any witnesses or people with dashcam footage which shows the suspect car – a black Nissan Navara - leaving the car wash are asked to get in touch.

The car has since been recovered but officers are asking for any information which may show where it travelled to directly following the incident just after 7.30pm on Monday, August 11.
It was last seen travelling in the direction of Consett.

Traveller site in Darlington park told to move on, council says, as caravans pitched
A traveller site set up in a Darlington park will be told to move on, the council has said. Caravans and vans were seen in North Park over the weekend, near the football pitches. Darlington Borough Council confirmed it is aware of the situation and has begun the legal process to remove the encampment. Police arrest man wanted on Canada-wide warrant after deadly Pickering house fire
PICKERING — Police say a man wanted for murder on a Canada-wide warrant after a house fire in Pickering, Ont., nearly two months ago has been arrested. Durham police responded to the fire on June 11 at around 2:20 p.m. and found a 69-year-old woman dead inside the home. Investigators ruled the death a homicide a week later and identified two suspects. Police say they arrested a 34-year-old man on Friday and he has been charged with second-degree murder.
