Butlin's is offering a huge summer sale across all of its holidays throughout 2025 and 2026, with discounts of up to 40% waiting to be snapped up. This includes Midweek Showtime breaks at Bognor Regis starting from £69 in June, Summer Holidays Feat Stephen Mulhern 3-night getaways from £352, and special Justin Fletcher Tots Breaks priced from just £79 in September.
The Bognor Regis resort has recently been revamped, with Butlin's pulling out all the stops for holidaymakers this summer. The company's largest-ever indoor Soft Play centre and a brand-new Puppet Theatre have been unveiled at the resort.
The new attractions are already proving a hit with families nationwide, with thousands more predicted to descend during the school holidays. The new soft play centre sprawls over 3,000 square feet across four floors, accommodating up to 200 lively little explorers at once - that's double the capacity of the previous attraction.
Access to the play area is included in the cost of a family break and day passes. Catering to children of all ages, the Skyline Soft Play is divided into three zones, each themed around the vibrant characters of the beloved Butlin's Skyline Gang. Each character has their own dedicated section brimming with slides, climbing challenges, log ramps, cargo nets and more, plus a generous multi-sensory area for babies.
For parents needing a breather while the kids play, there's a cosy new 100-seat café area where they can unwind with a brew. As reported by Bristol Live, this latest addition to the soft play centre follows hot on the heels of last year's opening of the £15 million PLAYXPERIENCE - a cutting-edge 50,000 square feet immersive gaming attraction.
The West Sussex resort has welcomed another exciting addition alongside its soft play centre - a brand-new Puppet Theatre. This enchanting venue will showcase captivating, family-friendly string puppet shows, with new productions like Under The Sea, Jingle in the Jungle, and Christmouse giving guests a glimpse into the magical world that awaits them this year.

WHAT are the must-haves this summer on your holiday packing list? Cossie? Tick. Suncream? Tick. Boots?! 8 For me, and most of us, there's not enough room in my 55x40x20cm cabin bag to cram in a pair of knee-highs. In a small footwear triumph, I don't mean Ugg boots. Thankfully that fugly trend seems to have been killed off for now. What I am referring to is heavy, clompy, sweat-inducing leather boots. An autumn perennial, knee-highs are a hit with celebrities and fashionistas. They're also on the pins of youngsters at various summer events and dance floors. While I'm all for getting the most wear out of clothes — because, let's face it, the majority of boots are pretty expensive — slipping into leather during a 30C-plus heatwave is my idea of hell. So why am I seeing the style set stomp around in them everywhere? The trend is a result of 'concert core'. Cast your mind back to last year when Taylor Swift, was prancing around in a bejewelled bodysuit and boots on her Eras tour. Beyonce sends fans into a frenzy with surprise Destiny's Child reunion during final Cowboy Carter show And pint-size pop star Sabrina Carpenter donned Sixties-style PVC go-go boots during her Short n' Sweet shows. A key look Then earlier this year, Beyonce line-danced in chaps and thigh-high, tasseled cowboy boots during her Cowboy Carter tour. Along with boots at festivals, my millennial brain can forgive those who wear ankle boots in the summer. It was a strong look from our glory days paired with a skinny jean or mini-skirt. But anything higher than the lower calf breaks me out in a sweat. I appreciate navigating what to wear in summer is never easy. Is it going to rain? Will you be fainting in commuter heat? Will you need a puffer jacket for the Arctic air-con? 8 8 But now we've thrown knee-high boots into the mix. If a rainy day is on the cards then winner-winner with your practical footwear. But if not, and the day turns out to be a scorcher, your feet will be squelching around in sweat while your legs chafe. For festivals, camping and fly-fishing, boots are the right call. If I get a whiff of the rising odour from someone's sticky sweat buckets it best be in an open field. Anywhere else is unacceptable.

WHEN summer temperatures soar, lots of Brits will flock to the beach, but dipping your toe into the sea is another story. The waters can still be chilly even though the sun is blazing, so where in the UK is actually warmest to swim? 4 The temperature of the sea around the UK can vary significantly, with lows in the winter of 6C to highs of 20C in summer. Both coastlines are influenced by the Gulf Stream - which is a powerful warm ocean current that carries heat from the tropics towards the North Atlantic. However, some of the warmest waters actually surround Essex including beaches like Clacton-on-Sea and those near Mersea Island. In the summertime, the Essex coast is warmer than most of the UK because of its proximity to mainland Europe. The drier and sunnier conditions that come with that causes water temperatures to rise. According to the current water temperature in Clacton-on-Sea, it's 18.7C. The data further reveals that the warmest sea temperatures today are in Thorpeness, Sizewell, Parkeston, Walton-on-the-Naze and Manningtree - which are all along the east coast of England and sit at 19C. Meanwhile in Sandwick, Scotland, sea temperatures are as low as 11.9C. While 19C does sound warm, it can still be a shock for your body, so be mindful before you dive in headfirst. A guide by The Outdoor Swimming Society has rankings of what various water temperatures mean - and how prepared for cold waters you should be. 0-6C is considered 'baltic', you'll need a wetsuit and it's unlikely you'll swim too far because it's so cold. 6-11C is 'freezing', still cold but a more manageable temperature. 12-16C is 'fresh' and quite enjoyable for open water lovers. 17-20C is considered 'summer swimming ' and this will be the temperature of lakes and rivers rather than the sea itself. 21C is 'warm' and 30C is 'pool temperature'. When taking children to the beach, be aware that they are less tolerant of cold water than adults and struggle to regulate body temperature more. 4 So it's safer for them to stick to paddling and splashing in the shallows than swimming further out. You can check the temperature of the sea with apps like Magic Seaweed, Windy, Seaside Buoy and Sea Water Temperature. It's also worth considering taking a look at the quality of the waters before diving in.
