Evonik Coating Additives has launched TEGO Foamex 8051, a high-efficiency siloxane defoamer for waterborne decorative coatings. It offers strong, persistent defoaming even under high shear, easy incorporation, and complies with global environmental standards. It is VOC/SVOC compliant and supports eco-friendly, high-performance formulations.

The product has broad global registrations (US, EU, China, Japan, etc.), contains no reportable hazardous substances, and complies with Ecolabel 2014/312/EU, with VOC levels at 0.08% and SVOC levels at 0.19% (DIN ISO 11890/2).

Primark has extended its sizing across its most popular bra ranges to include smaller and larger bras from 28AA to 44H. As well as extended sizing, customers can expect to see additional features including wider straps, supportive bands and foam-moulded cups for improved support, comfort and style. The extended bra sizes, which can be found within the Main, Youth and Fuller bra ranges, are designed so even more women can find their best fit and style at Primark, without having to break the bank. This latest development is part of the retailer's wider effort to increase sizing and improve fit across all its clothing. Currently, almost half (49%) of Primark's womenswear and nightwear offer 2XS and 2XL size options, and this is set to increase for future ranges. Changes have also been made to menswear, with increased sizing options from XS to 3XL across men's t-shirts and leisurewear. Primark has expanded its bra range to sizes 28AAâ€'44H, adding wider straps and foam-moulded cups for better support and comfort. The move is part of a broader effort to improve sizing across all clothing, with extended sizes in womenswear and menswear. A new online sizing hub and updated fit model aim to enhance shopping confidence and consistency. To improve sizing consistency and fit, Primark is using body shape data to roll out a new sizing model across all departments. This model has been implemented across women's denim ranges and will continue across more departments. Primark has also launched a new sizing hub on its customer website. The sizing hub offers easy-to-follow size guides to help customers make more informed shopping choices when it comes to sizing and fit, tips on how to measure your body, fabric and fit considerations and how to wash and care for clothes. Commenting on this Ann Marie Cregan, Trading Director at Primark said: 'We want everyone to find their best fit and look and feel good in the clothes we sell. There are many ways we are working to make this happen but expanding our sizes is one of the most visible and important. 'We're always listening to and learning from our customers, and we know how important underwear that looks and fits great is and that's why we've focused on getting this right. Whether it's a t-shirt bra, or a fashion-led style, having the right underwear is so important' The new extended bra sizes are available in all stores across all markets from June 2025. Selected products will also be available on Click & Collect in all 187 stores across Great Britain. All Primark bras, like most Primark clothing, have been tested against the Primark Durability Framework. This includes a number of physical and extended wash testing requirements, which replicate real-life washing and wearing habits, giving shoppers greater confidence that low prices don't come at the expense of durability. US-based PPG achieves ISO certification for sustainability tools
PPG (NYSE:PPG) announced that its in-house tools for cradle-to-gate product carbon footprint (PCF) measurement and life cycle assessment (LCA) have been validated to internationally recognized ISO standards by independent accreditation firm WAP Sustainability Consulting. In addition, PPG's environmental product declaration (EPD) process has been certified by the International EPD system, the world's largest EPD publisher. PPG's tools for measuring product carbon footprints and life cycle assessments have been validated to ISO standards by WAP Sustainability Consulting. Its environmental product declaration (EPD) process is now certified by the International EPD system. These third-party verifications enhance sustainability reporting, speed up delivery, and support green building goals. PCFs measure the total greenhouse gas emissions associated with a product's life cycle, from raw material extraction to end-of-life disposal. LCAs evaluate the environmental impacts associated with all stages of a product's life cycle. An EPD discloses the environmental impacts of a product throughout its life cycle, from raw material extraction to disposal. 'Having third-party verified LCA, PCF and EPD processes enable our customers to utilize trusted sustainability product information for their reporting, procurement decisions, or to qualify for green building certifications,' said Shen Tian, PPG global manager, product sustainability. 'These capabilities play an important role in meeting our goal to be our customers' first choice partner for paints, coatings and specialty products.' Aligned to increasing customer demand, the verification process has enabled PPG to significantly shorten the delivery time of EPDs, PCFs and LCAs, and to make the tools globally available to its employees to better serve customers.
