Hat-trick hero Kamwa grateful for Jardim 'connection'
The Cameroon-born forward joined the Exiles after leaving Burton Albion last summer and has featured in all but two of his side's 39 matches in all competitions this season.
And the 24-year-old is thankful to Portuguese boss Jardim for sticking by him during his tougher spells in his debut campaign at Rodney Parade.
"It's been up and down but I've thoroughly enjoyed it," Kamwa said of his time at Newport so far.
"I'm going to give a special mention to the gaffer for sticking with me when things haven't gone well.
"I'm enjoying working with him. We've got a great connection and I try to repay the faith that he's put in me.
"The boys have been great with me and everyone works their socks off."
Kamwa netted three goals in the opening 30 minutes as Newport ended their three-game winless run by beating Gillingham 3-1 on Tuesday night.
It was the winger's second hat-trick of the season following his treble against MK Dons in December.
"Personally, I'm delighted. The team count on me and I've got a lot on my shoulders," he said.
"That's for me to prove to everyone that I can take the team forward and carry on helping the team to win games.
"Sometimes I can pull a lot of things out of my locker, so I'm buzzing."

Milan push for Boniface and Harder, as Gimenez future in doubt
While Victor Boniface is set for a loan with option to buy from Bayer Leverkusen for €32m, Milan are also still pushing for Sporting CP striker Conrad Harder, as Santiago Gimenez might be sold instead. The Rossoneri seem to have abandoned negotiations with Manchester United for Rasmus Hojlund, who is instead closer to joining Napoli. Meanwhile, they would appear to be on the verge of securing Boniface from Bayer Leverkusen, on loan for circa €5m with an option to buy for a further €28m. They are just finalising the details of personal terms with the Nigeria international and Boniface could fly in for his medical as early as Thursday. The 20-year-old would be available for around €25m on a permanent transfer from Portugal. According to this is possible because Milan are by no means convinced they want to keep Santiago Gimenez, despite the fact they only bought him in January. Newport working on more signings, says manager Hughes
Manager David Hughes says Newport County are working on making more signings before the transfer window shuts on 1 September. The Exiles have added nine players to their squad this summer but, with 15 departures, there is room for new recruits. Newport lost 1-0 at home to Salford City on Tuesday to leave them 15th in League Two after one win, one draw and two defeats from Hughes' first four league games. "We're looking at a number of areas to strengthen, absolutely, but it's not easy," said the former Manchester United academy boss. "The chairman (Huw Jenkins) and myself, we're speaking consistently and daily on what we're trying to do and how we're trying to support the players we've already got here in the profile that we're trying to bring in. "Good players, there's a lot of competition out there and we're in the hunt for them, but I can't say anything more than that at the minute." Newport are in particular need of reinforcements as midfielder Kai Whitmore is unavailable with a calf injury. "Kai Whitmore's had a little setback with a niggle with a calf that will put him out for three or four weeks, which is disappointing because he was performing really, really well," Hughes added. "So yeah, we're looking, we're actively seeking some support to try to enhance and evolve what we've currently got."
