Fans then previously insisted the late arrival should win the series after dishing out home truths to Harry before revealing the real reason for their split.
Yet their connection then appeared to take a turn - after Harry pulled Emma for a chat and they enjoyed some new banter about PDA, as fans claimed the brunette's "real mask had slipped."
This was exacerbated when she was heard discussing the show's £50K cash prize pot on the ITV2 series.
In spin off show Aftersun, host Maya Jama directly asked the TV show star why.
She said: "You're one of the few Islanders who have actually mentioned the 50k."
Emma replied: "We have broken the fourth wall," to which Maya said: "You did, can you clarify what you meant by that?
"I think you said something after like 'ahh play along' something like that?"
Emma giggled before she said: "Look I'm glad you brought that up because the whole thing was a complete joke.
"Harry and I had nothing else to talk about and we are both really playful but I can confirm there was no game plan and we were just being silly.
"None of it was serious."
Love Island star Emma responds after Helena says she wishes she could apologise to her after brutal Harry split
SPEAK OUT
As well as his flirting with ex Shakira Khan and new bombshell Angel Swift, footballer Harry was previously seen telling his ex Emma that he still loves her, prior to her being dumped from the island.
At the time, Emma tried telling Helena what Harry had told her but the besotted star refused to believe her.
However, after seeing the clip for herself at the show's Grafties, Helena had said on Friday's episode that she wished she could apologise to her former love rival.
She also raged: "I didn't expect you to be sitting with your ex-girlfriend and saying you'll get back into bed with one another on the outside.
'You just don't shut things down, you entertain everything and everyone.'
Now Emma, who received a pre-villa glow up, has broken her silence and responded to Helena's comment.
Taking to TikTok, the brunette beauty expressed: 'Hey guys, I'm just jumping on here to address tonight's episode where Helena said she owes me an apology.
'I just wanted to say that she absolutely doesn't, there is no need to apologise to me for how she spoke to me. We both could have handled things better and I'm no angel.'
Proving there was no issue between them, she concluded: 'So no need to apologise, all good, no bad blood.'

Love Island fans work out real reason Yasmin was crying in the final after she sparks concern
LOVE Island fans claim they've figured out the real reason Yasmin Pettet was in tears during the series finale. Yas, 24, who finished third with Jamie Rhodes, 26, was spotted crying behind host Maya Jama as she interviewed second-place pairing Shakira Khan and Harry Cooksley. 5 5 Emotions were running high on the night and viewers originally believed she was weeping over her friends' success. But last night Yasmin revealed her beloved pet cat Miaow Miaow died while she was in the villa and fans think she might have learned the news during the finale. Yasmin explained she had a gut feeling something wasn't right while she was in the villa. And her mum, Mitra, and sister, Zara, told her the white lie that "everything was fine" when they visited as part of the the Meet The Parents episode. But people are now speculating the sad news somehow got to Yasmin before filming wrapped on Monday night. One wrote on Facebook: "I bet that's why she was crying in the background." Another said: "Maybe that's why she was crying during the final as well." The reality star spoke lovingly about her cat numerous times in the villa. Her partner Jamie even gifted her a ring with a paw on it because he knew she loved her cat so much. Announcing Miaow Miaow's death, Yasmin wrote on Instagram: "As I've spoken about her on the show I'm sure a lot of you will know I have a cat called miaow miaow who's been by my side for 11 years now. "When I was filming Love Island I had a bad gut feeling something was off and when my mum and sister came into the villa I asked them and still felt like something was off." She continued: "Rightfully they didn't tell me because I was still in the villa but after the final I called my sister and she told me that miaow miaow had cancer and died whilst I was away filming Love Island." Yasmin explained she was doing her best to maintain a visible presence online in light of the news, but it was proving hard. She said: "I'm trying to be as active as I can be on socials but am taking time for myself to process this heartbreak. "RIP to my beautiful baby girl, you were so loved and will always be in my soul." Yasmin returned to social media yesterday to thank fans for supporting her on the show. She said: "My love island journey has been crazy to say the least but I really wouldn't have been able to do it without my Jamie, Toni and Shakira. "I feel so grateful and blessed and can't wait to see what the future holds." Jamie, who affectionately describes Yasmin as having 'black cat energy', made his feelings toward her, writing: "Absolutely smashed it, wouldn't want to do the journey with anyone else." Toni Laites and Cach Mercer were announced as the winners of Love Island 2025. During the finale, Yasmin's twin sister Zara and mum Mitra hosted a TikTok livestream. Speaking in the clip, Mitra said: "What you don't understand is this is not a paid vote. "If it's not a paid vote, you cannot see the results. That means they can say whatever they want. "Do you understand? For you to see the result - a correct result that people vote - you have to pay cash. "Because this is free voting, they decide." Mitra referenced Yasmin and Dejon writing each other's names on their boards during a villa game. The Islanders were asked who they'd couple up with if their actual partner wasn't in the villa. She added: "I always knew after that episode that Yasmin's not going to win - because of the way they edited it." The Sun approached ITV for comment. ITV later released the finale's voting percentages, as they do each year. Winners Toni and Cach secured an impressive 33.5 percent of the audience's support. Shakira and Harry drew a sizeable 26.2 percent of the votes, while Yas and Jamie were not far behind taking 22 percent. Aesthetics practitioner Angel, 26, only made her debut on July 17, and managed to secure 18.3 percent of the overall voting audience with Casa Amor boy Ty. 5 5 5

Chris Hughes reveals the old-fashioned way he told JoJo Siwa how he really felt about her and recalls the moment when his feelings changed
has revealed he turned his relationship with JoJo Siwa from friendship into romance by putting his feelings down on paper. The former Love Island star, 32, and the American singer, 22, became instant friends on Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year and began dating after the final. Chris told how he went to the US to surprise JoJo for her birthday and wrote down his feelings on a piece of paper in a hotel bar in order to tell her how he really felt. Speaking to The Sun, he said: 'I was confused about how I felt. Then I wasn't confused anymore. I knew I needed to write it down to explain to her how I was feeling. 'I went to Florida thinking 'I really like this person', but I was slightly confused about the feelings. I had already written her birthday card before I flew over. I took all these presents over for her. They were fun and sentimental gifts rather than anything of monetary value. 'But the night before her birthday, I realised my feelings had changed. I told her: 'I've got to go do something. I'll be back in half an hour.' I went to the hotel reception and borrowed a pen and came back up to the room.' Chris said he loved JoJo as a friend at first but his feelings began to change towards the end of the series. Up until her relationship with Chris, JoJo had identified as a lesbian and was in a relationship with Australian influencer Kath Ebbs, although they quickly broke up after she left the Big Brother house. Chris has kept up his writing habit and said whenever he and JoJo are apart now, he still writes her letters to let her know how he's feeling. It comes after JoJo recently opened up about her relationship with Chris during a Q&A with her fans on Instagram. One fan had asked: 'What's the best thing about dating Chris?' JoJo replied: 'No matter what I am feeling he is always there to help me with that feeling. Either celebrate a high one or get through a low one.' 'He is the most fun to be around and he's not only good to me but he's good to everybody. Genuinely I think he's the nicest person I know. 'Also all of the universe signs are fun to spot out. Honestly while I was answering this question one of our songs came on the loudspeaker of where I'm at right now.' Another fan pointed out that the couple's star signs were the most compatible, to which JoJo agreed that it 'made sense.' Meanwhile, JoJo's ex Kath recently went Instagram official with her new romance. The 27-year-old is in a relationship with Australian Rules footballer Tilly Lucas-Rodd, 29, and shared the first snaps of them together on Instagram on Thursday. The photos see the loved-up pair posing in a photobooth as they shared a romantic kiss and beamed at each other. Alongside the post, Kath wrote: 'The rumours are true! YES I still (stupidly) believe in love!!' Tilly is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns. They are the first AFLW player to undergo top surgery and documented the procedure in an Instagram clip. Tilly plays for the Hawthorn Football Club in Melbourne and previously played for the Carlton Football Club. Kath first debuted the new romance when she posted two sentimental TikToks on July 18, with a sarcastic caption aimed at Dance Moms star JoJo. 'Hope this one doesn't cheat on me,' Kath wrote, alongside a video of the Hawthorn player, calling the sports star their new 'crush'.

Paramount and Skydance close their $8 billion merger, kicking off reign of new entertainment giant
Skydance and Paramount officially closed their $8 billion merger on Thursday — kicking off the reign of a new entertainment giant after a contentious, over year-long endeavor to get the transaction over the finish line. The new company — which will trade under the 'PSKY' ticker on Wall Street — brings Paramount's legacy Hollywood footprint, major TV networks like CBS and MTV, streaming services and more under the roof of a new power player: billionaire Skydance founder David Ellison. 'Today marks an exciting and pivotal moment as we prepare to bring Paramount's legacy as a Hollywood institution into the future of entertainment," Ellison, who is now Chairman and CEO of Paramount, a Skydance Corporation, said in a statement. He added that he aims to 'honor exceptional storytelling while modernizing how we make and deliver content." The merger's close came just two weeks after it received regulatory approval from the Trump administration. While now a done deal, the path towards that approval was far from smooth sailing. Months of scrutiny and turmoil surrounded the transaction — particularly amid President Donald Trump's legal battle with '60 Minutes,' the crown jewel of Paramount-owned broadcast network CBS. With the specter of the Trump administration potentially blocking the hard-fought deal with Skydance, Paramount agreed to pay a $16 million settlement to the president in early July. Critics of the settlement lambasted it as a veiled bribe to appease Trump, amid rising alarm over editorial independence overall. Further outrage also emerged after CBS said it was canceling Stephen Colbert's 'Late Show' just days after the comedian sharply criticized the parent company's settlement on air. Paramount cited financial reasons, but big names both within and outside the company have questioned those motives. When still seeking approval to buy Paramount from the Federal Communication Commission, Skydance management assured regulators that it would carefully watch for any perceived bias at CBS News and hire an ombudsman to review any complaints about fairness. In filings just last month, the company's general counsel maintained that New Paramount will embody 'a diversity of viewpoints across the political and ideological spectrum' — and also noted that it plans to take a 'comprehensive review' of CBS to make 'any necessary changes.' By the time the deal was approved, FCC Chairman Brendan Carr hailed the merger as an opportunity to bring more balance to 'once-storied' CBS. 'Americans no longer trust the legacy national news media to report fully, accurately, and fairly. It is time for a change," Carr said. Carr also pointed to other commitments from Skydance — including company assurances about ending diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives at Paramount. In a letter addressed to Carr days before the FCC's greenlight, Skydance wrote to 'confirm the elimination' of DEI initiatives previously in place at Paramount — and maintained that Skydance 'does not have DEI programs in place today and will not establish such initiatives.' Skydance pointed to the Supreme Court's 2023 decision on affirmative action in college admissions, but such moves also arrive amid the Trump administration's wider crackdown on DEI in the workplace — and the company cited recent federal mandates impacting employers, too, noting that Paramount announced 'significant changes' to its recruiting and hiring practices in February 2025. The FCC approved the merger by a 2-1 vote on July 24. The regulator who opposed it, FCC Commissioner Anna Gomez, expressed disdain for how it all came together — pointing to 'months of cowardly capitulation to this administration.' 'In an unprecedented move, this once-independent FCC used its vast power to pressure Paramount to broker a private legal settlement and further erode press freedom,' Gomez, who was appointed by President Joe Biden, said in a statement. She also said the agency overstepped its authority by 'undermining legitimate efforts to combat discrimination and expand opportunity.' Paramount's new leaders will be watched particularly closely for how they deal with CBS News, given the $16 million settlement with Trump following his complaint about last fall's '60 Minutes' interview with his Democratic opponent, then-Vice President Kamala Harris. And the merger could also have ripple effects across other Paramount properties, including its late night and comedy programming. When first announcing the deal in July 2024, Ellison also stressed the need to transition into a 'tech hybrid' to stay competitive in today's entertainment landscape. That included plans to 'rebuild' the Paramount+ streaming service, among wider efforts to expand direct-to-consumer offerings in a world with more entertainment options and shorter attention spans.
