He was a major player in the main event feud between John Cena and Cody Rhodes in the weeks before.
However, the 52-year-old was missing from the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
He was nowhere be seen as Cena defeated his rival to win a historic 17th WWE world title.
Fans in the arena and viewers at home were left disappointed with the People's Champion not there.
The Rock had appeared at the Elimination Chamber last month.
He was the catalyst for Cena turning heel for the first time in 22 years.
At the time, he was joined by Travis Scott.
The rapper also appeared and intervened in the main event at Mania on Sunday.
But The Rock was absent, leaving fans upset around the world.
They took to social media to vent their frustration.

"No Rock? hey Dwayne, you're in or you're out. And when you're out," one raged.
"Stay away unless you're committing."
Another added: "Anyone else find that very anticlimactic? Like what???
"Why did Travis Scott have a 5 minute entrance in the middle of the match and WHERE IS THE ROCK????

"Happy for Cena, but WHAT????"
A third said: "'Did they even need The Rock for this heel turn?
"Not a single appearance? Not a single explanation? Come on."
During the main event, Scott took a Cross Rhodes finisher from Cody.
That allowed Cena to get the upper hand and win the title.
He now has the most world championships in the history of the company.
The Rock's latest social media post is of him driving in Hawaii, but it is not known when the image was taken.
It is also not known whether his WrestleMania 41 absence was planned or he pulled out.
Cena is advertised for Monday Night Raw, where he could still show up.

Hollywood A-lister Mel Gibson reveals REAL reason Braveheart wasn't filmed in Scotland
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) MEL Gibson has made a surprising confession and revealed the real reason why some Braveheart scenes weren't filmed in Scotland. The Aussie-born superstar, 69, portrayed legendary Scots freedom fighter Sir William Wallace, whilst also directing the 1995 blockbuster. He came clean at a special event as part of King John's Summer Prom Festival at the Trim Castle Hotel, Co Meath, as the Oscar-winning epic celebrated its 30th anniversary. Speaking to RTÉ News, Mel explained that while they were filming in Scotland for the £150million movie, they struggled when it came to big battle scenes. This was because the ground wasn't as "friendly" for the horses, and they were then invited to film these scenes over in Ireland. RTÉ News shared a clip of Mel opening up about the scenes after thanking the people of Ireland for the role they played in the making of Braveheart. They posted: "Mr Gibson, who directed, produced and starred in the 1995 film, was speaking in Trim today as part of a series of events that are taking place to mark the 30th anniversary of the making of the movie. We filmed for six weeks in Scotland, and it did everything we wanted it to... we got a lot of great stuff there Mel Gibson "Despite its Scottish setting, the iconic film was primarily shot in Ireland with locations in counties Kildare, Meath and Wicklow providing the landscape for many of its medieval scenes." In the video, Mel said: "Initially, we went to Scotland, and, of course, it was fantastic. "We filmed for six weeks in Scotland, and it did everything we wanted it to, I mean, Ben Nevis, you know, fits perfectly in the frame, and we got a lot of great stuff there. "But, unfortunately, for the big battle scenes, the ground in Scotland wasn't as horse-friendly as here [Ireland]. Braveheart fans go mad for Mel Gibson as he's asked about independence "So, you had more horses, and the ground was friendlier to the horses. "And so we were fortunate at the time that the Minister for Arts and Culture was Michael D. Higgins, and he opened up the doors for us and said, 'Hey, we got good ground, we got horses, we got the reserve army'. "And they were all within proximity. "So that was a great help in achieving what we had to achieve, and we achieved it, I think." Michael D. Higgins, and he opened up the doors for us... that was a great help in achieving what we had to achieve Mel Gibson Fans flocked to the comments of the post after being impressed with Mel's latest revelation. One person said: "Say what you want about Mel, Braveheart is a masterpiece". Another added: "Brilliant story!" Someone else wrote: "One of my all-time favourite movies". While a fourth posted: "Very cool!!" And a fifth chimed in: "One of the best films made". The comments come after Mel recently admitted that he faked it as a film director when he was making Braveheart. He revealed that he had to pretend to the crew and enormous cast that he was totally in control of the £150million blockbuster. At another event celebrating the film's 30th anniversary at a Fan Expo convention in Philadelphia, US, he said he has to "pretend" to know what he was doing whilst on set. Mel recalled: "It was only my second outing as a director, and it was a massive shoot. ACCENT HELP A FORMER child star from Braveheart has revealed how he used to slag off Mel Gibson's dodgy Scots accent on set. And it led to the Hollywood A-lister to beg him to help improve his brogue. ndrew Weir, from Ayr, played William Wallace's best pal Hamish in the Oscar-winning flick. And he even managed to get family friend James Robinson a crucial part as the young freedom fighter. But the pair would regularly fall into hysterics at the Aussie actor's attempt to master our dialect. Andrew, who now lives in New York, previously said: 'I think Mel liked that we were kids and not intimidated by him. "We used to laugh at his accent, and he would ask us to help him make it better.' 'There were about 3,000 people on the set. They're all looking at you like you know what you're doing. 'So I pretended I knew what I was doing. But somehow it all came together. "Logistically speaking, it was a monster — from feeding everybody to getting them all to look like they were in the war.' Gibson said his 'proudest achievement' was avoiding serious injuries in the movie's many battle scenes. He explained: 'One guy got a hangnail and another got a broken nose and twisted ankle, but that was it. 'It was a long shoot — there were 105 shooting days. We didn't get any days off.' 'But I'm really proud of the end result. It really paid off.'

Drew McIntyre slams 'terrible' John Cena decision in X-rated verdict and makes WWE demand
EXCLUSIVE: Drew McIntyre didn't hold back in his verdict on John Cena's run as a wrestling villain as he spoke to Daily Mirror Sport ahead of WWE's UK tour Drew McIntyre says John Cena 's run as a wrestling villain was "terrible" and he didn't want to face a "b**** version" of the WWE legend. Cena, 48, is set to retire from in-ring action at the end of this year. In March, after WWE's Elimination Chamber event, he viciously attacked the company's top good guy or 'babyface' Cody Rhodes. In doing so, and aligning himself with fellow WWE icon The Rock, he 'turned heel' - wrestling parlance for becoming a bad guy - for the first time in more than two decades. Cena went on to capture a record-breaking 17th world title by defeating Rhodes at WrestleMania 41 in April. But The Rock's involvement in that rivalry and Cena's heel run didn't continue, with the storyline and positive reception to his new character fizzling out, before WWE performed a major U-turn and reversed the decision. Earlier this month Cena reverted to being a fan favourite, before losing the Undisputed WWE Championship to Rhodes in a critically acclaimed match at SummerSlam last Sunday night. And on SmackDown on Friday evening, he was challenged by Logan Paul to a match at Clash in Paris on August 31, before an ambush by McIntyre. McIntyre, 40, real name Andrew Galloway, from Ayr, Scotland, spoke exclusively to Daily Mirror Sport about his own SummerSlam tag team victory with Paul against Randy Orton and the American singer Jelly Roll, and a desire to have a first ever singles match with Cena before he hangs up his boots. Asked whether he had been lobbying WWE's chief content officer Paul Levesque, aka ring great Triple H, to be one of Cena's final opponents, McIntyre said: "I've been invoking Cena's name for literally years, pointing out we've never had a singles match, pointing out there's certain feelings I have based on spending years and years on the road with him that basically nobody else, besides maybe like a Sheamus or Miz or R-Truth, has. "I have certain feelings, and I would love, like I did with CM Punk, to get my hands on him, to get a little bit of retribution for Drew. But also prove, if he's the greatest of all time, I can keep up with the greatest of all time. "Like a la Punk, when he's on the microphone, [people are like] 'he's the best of all time on the mic'. And I got on the mic with him and everyone's like, 'wow, Drew's the guy on the mic', and then I won all the talking awards and whatever. I want to be in the ring with the best, and I want to prove that I belong at the top level. "I said I want Cena for years, and in the past six months, I kind of changed my tune, when they started doing the, let's call it, 'bad guy Cena'. I think he basically admitted himself last week, it wasn't very great. It wasn't ideal. In fact, it was terrible. And then he went back to 'Super Cena'. "I basically said, 'I don't want to face this...' - I'm trying to watch my language here - 'this b**** version of Cena'. I didn't want to face him anymore. I said, 'I want Cody to be the winner, I want to beat Cody for the title.' "He's the one right now, who's 'Super Cody', and I want to beat him. I want to take the title off him. Plus we have this 20-year story, Cody and I, parallel careers, different destinations. "But now, seeing Cena go back to his roots, proving he's a hypocrite, [because] we can in fact see him, which we'll discuss if I ever get the chance on the mic, or get the match with him, we'll talk about that kind of stuff, you know, compromising his values. I don't want to give too many details because I really have a lot up here [points to head] and I want to unload on the world if I get the opportunity. "But I would love to get in the ring with Cena, this version of Cena, the version I've seen against Cody, that's the John Cena I want to fight. "You know, he didn't come out on top in the end, but I'll admit it was a hell of a match, or a hell of a performance, and that's the John Cena I want to fight. So if he's got the stones, I want him before he retires." WWE returns to the UK this month, including WWE Raw live from Birmingham on August 25. Tickets are now on sale and UK and Ireland fans can purchase tickets their tickets here August 22 - Road to Clash in Paris - Friday Night SmackDown, 3Arena, Dublin August 23 - Road to Clash in Paris - M&S Bank Arena, Liverpool August 24 - Road to Clash in Paris - Utilita Arena, Newcastle August 25 - Road to Clash in Paris - Monday Night Raw, BP Pulse Live, Birmingham

Katie Price reminds daughter Princess ‘you only get one mum' amid ‘rift' over new TV series
KATIE Price has shared a post reminding her daughter Princess that you've "only got one mum" amid their "rift". It comes after The Sun exclusively revealed the secret rift between Katie, 47, and Princess,18. 3 Katie Price has reminded her daughter Princess that she 'only has one mum' Credit: Getty 3 The Sun exclusively revealed the secret rift between Katie and Princess Credit: Getty Daughter Princess, 18, is appearing in her very own ITV2 show titled The Princess Diaries, which kicks off tomorrow night. Katie has previously vented about those working with her daughter after The Sun revealed her secret heartache about being cut out of her TV show. She even wowed not to watch her daughter's reality show, after feeling left out of such an important thing in Princess' life. And now Katie has shared a post reflecting on motherhood. In a large font it boldly read: "You only get one mum." It then listed the stages of a person's life, from aged five to 70 and how important it is to have a loving mother by your side. It said: "5-years-old - Mum, I love you. "12-years-old - Mum, you're so annoying. "16-years-old - I can't wait to move out. "25-years-old - Mum, you were right about everything. Katie Price reaches out to Harvey's lookalike half-brother to arrange first meeting after dad Dwight Yorke's snub "30-years-old - I just want to be at mum's house. "50-years-old - I'm not ready to lose my mum. "70-years-old - I'd give anything for one more day with her." The upset mum-of-five has bashed those working with her daughter after The Sun revealed her secret heartache about being cut out of her TV show. Discussing her upset on her podcast, Katie, 47, told sister Sophie that although she supports Princess no matter what, the situation has left her "insulted" and struggling mentally. Addressing The Sun's article, Katie said: 'They've told the truth in it. If you actually read it, there's not a fib. "I'm not allowed and I'm not welcome. 'But what hurts my feelings, and it does upset me, is when your kids grow up, you go to their assemblies, you go to their Christmas things, you go to their awards, you go to their football matches or gymnastics, you're involved in everything they do. "And knowing that what my career has been, Princess is taking that same path, trying to do the same as what I've done, which I absolutely love and adore of Princess. "But I have not been allowed to go on any photo shoot, no signings or Superdrug openings or anything like that." We told earlier this week how telly bosses deliberately cut the former glamour model out of forthcoming ITV2 show, The Princess Diaries, because it is 'not good for Princess to be seen with Katie'. In a bid to market the youngster as a pretty, middle-class influencer, they even turned down Katie's team's offer to film for free for three days. Katie ranted: 'And it puts Princess in a situation because I don't want her to feel she has to choose between me and her work because I want her to do well.' 'And I have said to Princess, just see how it feels for me because I should be there supporting you. "I want to be there to support you like my family did. And I'm your mum and especially as you're doing stuff that I did, I'm proud of you and want to be there.' But it does mean she has made the decision not to watch it. "I won't be watching the show and I won't be promoting the show, because I don't need it rubbed in my face of everyone playing Happy Families," she said. Revealing the extent of how much she claims to have been pushed out, Katie continued: 'They won't allow Princess to do photo shoots with me. "They won't allow me to go to any events with Princess because they think I am trash basically. 'Now, everyone knows she's my daughter. So what difference does it make? If it wasn't for me or Pete, Princess and Junior wouldn't be known anyway. 'I find it an insult as I've been in the industry 30 years. I know this job inside and out. "If there's anyone better to advise or be there and guide Princess, it is me.' Princess' 'unhappy' childhood The new ITV2 series, which will feature Princess's older brother Junior and her dad Peter, begins on Sunday. It also stars Pete's second wife Emily, a doctor with whom he appears blissfully happy. Princess lives full time with Peter, and has done since before she turned 18. For the past few months, cameras have followed Princess around as she launches her influencing career, having already signed money- spinning deals with brands including Morphe and Superdrug. Party Ban But Katie has been nowhere to be seen - not even when her daughter had an 18th birthday party. The Prices were banned from attending Princess's 18th birthday party in June due to filming. Katie, whose sister feels the same, admitted her frustrations, saying: 'I'm not making money off my daughter. So I am fuming about the situation, but at the same time, I want Princess to do well and I back her in every way "The family, we're all fuming about it. How, again, not one member of our family or anything are involved in anything Princess does." In the fly-on-the-wall series, the teenager addresses the traumatic memories of her parents' divorce, admitting she grew up in her household knowing her parents 'didn't like each other'.
