At the event, there were lots of engaging activities and workshops based on the story, designed to spark children's creativity and help them build important life skills like critical thinking. Some of the exciting activities included workshops called 'Decoding' and 'The Jelly Monster,' as well as a drawing session led by Hessa Al Muhairi, where kids created posters inspired by the story. There was even a theatrical performance by children from the center, showcasing elements of "Laith and Haila," which entertained the audience.
The event ended with an interactive reading session with the authors, where the kids could ask questions and discuss the story. This hands-on approach helped the children better understand the story and fueled their curiosity, making reading a fun and educational experience.
Noura bint Ahmed Al Noman, a board member at the Rubu' Qarn, highlighted that this project aligns with the vision of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Rubu' Qarn for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators. The goal is to support young people's development through creative literary initiatives that foster their life skills. This year's publication, "Laith and Haila," emphasizes self-awareness, decision-making, and responsibility, making it relatable to children's lives and imagination.
Hanan Al Mahmoud, Vice Chairperson of the Sharjah Women's Sports Foundation, also praised the event, indicating that it reflects the foundation's commitment to nurturing young minds through interactive literature. She noted that this story serves as a clever way to provide important lessons in an engaging and adventurous manner, creating lasting memories for the children. Ultimately, the project aims to help kids appreciate reading and learn valuable life lessons from the experiences of fictional characters.

Sajaya launches August workshops with interactive experiences

Some highlights of this month's workshops include "Resolve and Travel," which explores cultures from around the world; "The World of Imagination," where participants can express themselves through writing, drawing, and storytelling; and "A Cup with an Artistic Flavor." There will also be a chance to learn archery, thanks to a partnership with the Sharjah Women's Sports Foundation. In addition to these creative workshops, there will be technology activities, sculpture, and pottery sessions, as well as self-awareness workshops like "Your Feelings Are Power,' developed in collaboration with the Sharjah Health Authority, "The Happiness Map," and "Let's Talk," created with input from the Family Development Department. There's also a special workshop led by Sajaya's friend, Hind Al Raisi. The workshops will be held at different times throughout the month, both in the morning and evening, and will be guided by skilled instructors. This is a wonderful opportunity for girls to try new activities, learn new things, and expand their horizons.
