Nipun Aggarwal has served as Air India's Chief Commercial Officer since April 2022. Nipun Aggarwal is replacing Campbell Wilson as the Tata Group-owned airline plans to continue restructuring. Basil Kwauk, Air India's COO, will also replace Wilson Campbell on the board of Air India, Reuters reported, citing a memo.
Air India continues with the restructuring process after the Tata Group took control two years ago. Tata Group merged four airlines into two — Air India and Air India Express, which merged with AirAsia.
"With this structural work largely complete, the task at hand now is to fully leverage and optimise the Group fleet, network, sales, distribution and loyalty assets," the report quoted Wilson.
The report further mentioned that Air India is looking into multi-billion-dollar deals for widebody jets. However, the delivery of these jets has been delayed, forcing the airlines to work with older jets, leading to rising maintenance costs, delaying their modernisation and expansion efforts.
Meanwhile, China has asked airlines to refrain from taking deliveries of Boeing aircraft, due to the escalating trade war, according to Bloomberg News.

Anil Ambani hits Rs 50000000000 Jackpot as his company becomes first Indian private company to execute…, name is...
Anil Ambani (File) Anil Ambani-owned Reliance Infrastructure is stepping up its game in the defence aviation sector, signalling a new wave of growth for private players in India's strategic industries. The company plans to ramp up efforts in aircraft upgrade programs, tapping into an estimated Rs 5,000 crore opportunity over the next 7 to 10 years. According to a PTI report, this strategic move will make Reliance Infrastructure India's first private sector company to successfully implement a full aircraft upgrade program as a standalone entity without being the original manufacturer. This is a segment that has only been undertaken by public sector units and OEM's as the domain. The PTI report further mentioned that a company source revealed that Reliance Infrastructure has already achieved a key milestone by upgrading 55 Dornier-228 aircraft, as part of a contract with Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL), in partnership with the US-based avionics firm Genesys. Initially awarded a contract for 37 aircraft, a follow-on order was given to Reliance for 18 more units after completing this successful project. As per the PTI report, sources indicate that the contract value of the Dornier upgrade was approximately Rs 350 crore. The new Dornier fleet is operational with the Indian Air Force, the Indian Navy, and the Indian Coast Guard. Military aircraft and helicopters have service lives of 30-40 years, thus upgrades, particularly to avionics, mission systems, and safety equipment, need to be completed in a timely manner. According to industry experts, lifecycle costs associated with upgrades and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) may represent as much as 200-300 per cent of the a platform's acquisition cost. Globally, the military aircraft and helicopter upgrade market is worth over Rs 5,00,000 crore annually and is projected to grow to Rs 7,00,000 crore in the next seven years. With extensive legacy platforms in inventory to draw on, India has a significant domestic opportunity, especially as the armed forces upgrade their legacy jet fleets.

India remains key strategic market for global brands: Myntra CEO Sinha
India continues to be a strategic market for both global and domestic brands, said Myntra CEO Nandita Sinha. She made the remarks after attending the NRF 25 retail event held in Singapore from 3 to 6 June. Following the e-commerce major's launch in Singapore on 19 May, Myntra Global has reported growing user engagement, a healthy average order value and a notable share of returning customers. Singapore launch 'With the launch of Myntra Global in Singapore, we're also laying the foundation for our global foray, with a long-term aspiration to serve the Indian diaspora beyond India,' Sinha said. The company in May said that it aims to assess consumer preferences, selection patterns and brand traction before planning wider expansion. Initial targets include reaching 12–15 per cent of the Indian consumer base in Singapore. The Walmart-owned company is currently targeting the 650,000 Indians living in Singapore. Sinha noted that the company's India-based platform had already recorded around 30,000 users from Singapore prior to the launch. 'We're tapping into opportunities around festivals, weddings and occasions with our brand portfolio, spanning Indian fashion and home décor,' Sinha had said in May. 'For now, our focus is on learning, getting product–market fit right and then expanding.' 'At less than 15 per cent, e-fashion in India is still significantly underpenetrated compared to global benchmarks, presenting a tremendous opportunity,' she said. Sinha added, 'The new-age insurgent brands are tailoring their value proposition,' while highlighting the Indian market's rising importance. Customer segment A key focus for Myntra is the Gen Z customer segment, which interacts with fashion differently and expects a customised shopping experience. 'The aspirational Indian shopper is trading up across beauty, accessories and occasion-wear, and Myntra, as one of India's leading e-lifestyle destinations, is well poised to cater to the aspirational and evolving customer needs,' Sinha said.
