Juventus lining up €70 million offer for Viktor Gyokeres
Juventus are preparing to make a €70 million offer for Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres, according to Corriere dello Sport. The Swedish international scored 54 goals in 52 games last season. He has earned back-to-back Golden Boot awards and helped Sporting claim consecutive league titles. Advertisement Gyokeres fell short to Kylian Mbappe in the race for the Golden Shoe, but has established himself as one of Europe's hottest marksmen. Arsenal, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea have all been linked with Gyokeres, although Sporting's asking price is a major hurdle. However, the Portuguese champions may accept closer to €70 million plus add-ons, well below his €100 m release clause. Gyokeres is believed to feel betrayed by Sporting for reportedly reneging on an informal agreement to facilitate his summer exit. He reportedly turned down a move to Man United recently and has his sights set on a switch to Arsenal, although they are believed to be prioritising a deal for Benjamin Sesko. Advertisement This could pave the way for Juventus, who are now lining up a €70m offer, to sign the in-demand 27-year-old. Talks between Juventus and Sporting are expected to intensify, and Gyokeres' growing discontent increases the chances of a deal. Gyokeres' strength, finishing and intelligent movement make him an ideal fit for Juventus, who are seeking a replacement for Dusan Vlahovic. Vlahovic has been linked with a move to AC Milan, where he would reunite with former boss Massimiliano Allegri. Fenerbahce are also interested in the Serbian.

Galatasaray optimistic on Osimhen deal despite new interest from England
Galatasaray optimistic on Osimhen deal despite new interest from England Galatasaray are optimistic about securing the permanent signing of Victor Osimhen from Napoli, despite competition from Premier League teams. Osimhen scored 37 goals in 41 games on loan at Galatasaray last season, after moving to the Turkish side in a shock deal, following his fallout at Napoli. Advertisement Galatasaray are desperate to keep the forward at the club, with Osimhen having broken the single-season goal record for an overseas player in Turkish football last season. The 26-year-old has a €75m (£63.8m) release clause in his contract at Napoli and Galatasaray are prepared to smash the Süper Lig transfer record to land the Nigerian. However, the 'biggest issue' remains the structure of the deal. Galatasaray want to pay the release clause in a series of instalments, while Napoli are demanding as few instalments as possible. The deal would smash Galatasaray's previous transfer record, the €18m deal saw took Gabriel Sara to the club from Norwich City last summer. The Turkish Süper Lig transfer record is just €19.5m as things stand. Galatasaray offer Osimhen huge contract Having secured the marquee recruit of Leroy Sane on a free transfer, Galatasaray have offered Osimhen a huge contract. The deal on offer is reportedly worth between €15m and €20m per season (£245,000 to £326,000 per week). Advertisement The Nigeria international turned down a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia earlier this summer in favour of staying in Europe. Several English sides have considered a move for Osimhen, including Chelsea and Manchester United, but neither have formalised interest with a concrete offer. Former Marseille boss leading candidate for Italy coaching vacancy
Former Olympique de Marseille manager Gennaro Gattuso is on the verge of becoming the new manager of Italy, with journalist Fabrizio Romano reporting that an agreement could be reached in the coming days. The man who helped the Italians win the World Cup in 2006 over France recently left his role as manager of Croatian club Hadjuk Split earlier this month. In 2023-24 Gattuso served as manager of Marseille but was sacked after just five months on the job, winning nine of his 24 matches at the helm of the French side. Advertisement Former AS Monaco and FC Nantes coach Claudio Ranieri was approached to take over from Luciano Spalletti, who was dismissed earlier this month, but declined. Italy have three points from two group matches in 2026 World Cup qualifying, currently outside of the play-off positions. As a manager, Gattuso led Napoli to the Coppa Italia in 2019-20, winning that trophy once as a player along with two Serie A crowns and a pair of UEFA Champions League titles as well. Gattuso officially retired from the national team at the end of their 2010 World Cup campaign, with his side losing 3-2 to Slovakia and exiting in the group phase of that tournament for the first time since 1974.
