Appreciate @SecRubio and @StateDept for designating TRF-a Lashkar-e-Tayyiba (LeT) proxy-as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) and Specially Designated Gloabl Terrorist (SDGT). It claimed responsibility for the April 22 Pahalgam attack. Zero tolerance for Terrorism. #OpSindoor."
The TRF is a shadow group of the banned Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terror group, and had claimed responsibility for the April 22 terror attack that killed 25 tourists - 24 Indians and one Nepali citizen.

New Delhi, July 30 (UNI) Union Home Minister Amit Shah today launched a scathing attack on the Congress party during a fiery address in the Rajya Sabha, asserting that the terrorists behind several high-profile attacks during the UPA era had been eliminated under the Modi government's recent counter-terror operations—Operation Sindoor and Operation Mahadev. In a sharp political offensive during participation in debate on Operation Sindoor, Shah accused the Congress, particularly former Home Minister P. Chidambaram, of shielding Pakistan-backed narratives for the sake of "vote-bank politics". He alleged that the UPA government was reluctant to take strong action against terrorists and instead relied on diplomatic paperwork. 'Under Operation Sindoor, many key terrorists like Hafiz Muhammad, Mudassar, Mohamad Hamza, Mohammed Hazar, Abdul Malik and others have either been killed or incapacitated,' Shah told the Upper House, adding that several of them were so severely injured 'they won't be able to commit another terror attack in the future.' Hitting out at Chidambaram for questioning the nationality of the slain militants, Shah retorted: 'Why does Chidambaram need proof? Who is he trying to save—Pakistan or Lashkar?' He went on to accuse the Congress of "placing national security second to appeasement politics." Referring to the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the Home Minister disclosed that the three Lashkar-e-Taiba commanders involved—identified as Suleimani, Afghan, and Jibran—were neutralised in Operation Mahadev conducted on Monday. He cited forensic evidence and eyewitness testimonies linking the trio to the attack, and attributed the plot to Lashkar's proxy outfit, The Resistance Front (TRF). 'Unlike the past, we did not wait. I reached Srinagar the same day,' Shah recalled. 'Congress kept sending dossiers, but under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, we gave a direct response. Only fear ensures peace with terrorists.' In an apparent swipe at Chidambaram, Shah questioned the Congress' credibility on national security. 'He says Operation Sindoor wasn't decisive. Was 1965 or 1971 decisive then? Why did terrorism rise so drastically under Congress?' he asked, pointing to what he termed a history of inaction and weak responses under previous governments. The Opposition, led by the Congress and other INDIA bloc constituents, staged a walkout during Shah's reply, demanding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's presence in the House to answer questions related to Operation Sindoor. Two who looted bizman in guise of sadhus arrested
Lucknow: Two men from Haryana, disguised as sadhus, were arrested for looting a Delhi-based businessman near the Old Jail crossing in Alambagh on Wednesday. The accused allegedly stopped the victim under the pretext of seeking donations for Nag Panchami and then fled with his gold chain and cash. The victim, Rohan Kashyap, a resident of Shakarpur, New Delhi, was headed towards his aunt's residence in Munshipulia when the incident occurred on Tuesday. According to Alambagh SHO Subhash Chandra Saroj, as Kashyap slowed his vehicle near the Old Jail crossing, two men dressed in saffron robes and smeared in ash—posing as sadhus—approached his car seeking daan (donation). As soon as he rolled down the window, they snatched his gold chain and a purse containing Rs 4,500 in cash and quickly fled the scene. Following the FIR, DCP Central Ashish Srivastava said police examined CCTV footage from the surrounding area and traced the suspects to the Devi Khera crossing. Both accused —identified as Vicky Nath and Arun Nath, residents of Sonepat, Haryana were arrested. The looted gold chain and Rs 4,500 cash were recovered from their possession, said ACP Cantonment Abhay Pratap Mall. Both have been booked under relevant IPC sections, including robbery and impersonation. They are currently in police custody, and further legal proceedings are underway.

Kharge calls INDIA bloc meeting to discuss voter roll revision in House
New Delhi: Opposition's INDIA group will sharpen its focus on the Election Commission's Special Intensive Review (SIR) of electoral rolls, will insist on a debate and might also make a comprehensive protest plan over the issue after Parliament finished discussing Operation Sindoor in both Houses. Congress president and Rajya Sabha's Leader of the Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge will chair the meeting. In the Rajya Sabha, both Leader of the Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge and Trinamool Congress floor leader Derek O'Brien demanded a debate on SIR. O'Brien reminded deputy chairman Harivansh that there are two more weeks left in the ongoing monsoon session and a debate on SIR can be organized. Kharge sought Chair's assurance when the debate on SIR will start and reminded Harivansh that since the beginning of the session, the Opposition's efforts had been to debate SIR. Later, talking to HT, Kharge said, 'Our top issue now is SIR. We want a debate on SIR and will make a plan on how the issue can be highlighted.' Kharge also didn't rule out protests but indicated that any rally or Opposition march might not happen in the short term. Demanding a debate on SIR, Kharge also told HT, 'The EC has announced it would do SIR in other states too. Notification has been issued in some states. This is a clear plan to not allow a large section of voters to vote.' INDIA group– which has 24 parties in Parliament, had met on July 19 to strategize for the monsoon session of Parliament. During the meeting, Pahalgam terror attack, Operation Sindoor and SIR were picked up by leaders as top issues. 'Now that the Operation Sindoor/ Pahalgam debate is over in Parliament, our focus will sharpen on SIR,' said an Opposition leader. O'Brien said, 'SIR is a huge issue for the Opposition.' Bihar deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha, who came to Parliament for work, reacted to the Opposition's protests over SIR. 'The SIR will ensure only genuine voters will cast their votes. Otherwise, they (Opposition) wants votes to be cast in the name of those who have died. The people of Bihar are happy. Only those who come from RJD and Congress cultures are facing problems. They are in panic and they have accepted defeat. So, they are looking for an excuse.'
