McDonald's new BTS Happy Meal is coming to Hong Kong
For non-Armys, TinyTan are official animated characters created by Big Hit Music, each based on a BTS member. In the announcement video, the seven characters are shown blowing glitter onto a McDonald's Happy Meal container, transforming it into a TinyTan-themed box. Going by their hairstyles and clothes, these toys don't seem to represent any of BTS' eras or albums, but rather seem to be styled after the members' looks just before they went into their respective military service in 2022 and 2023. For example, the Suga character has long hair, which was a style that the real-life Suga sported during his D-Day world tour just before he enlisted.
The initial teaser showed seven figurines, but we've since heard that there will be two versions of toys to collect – the Throwback edition, and the Encore edition. The last time we saw a BTS-related event in McDonald's was back in 2021, and even then it was just a meal with no specific merch, so we're excited to see what's been cooked up this time. The TinyTan x McDonald's Happy Meal will be released on September 3, while the Encore edition of the toys will drop on September 23.
We'll be back with more information on the meals and if this BTS collab will include special food, but in the meantime, practise your queuing skills because this drop will be one to kill for.

When we travel abroad, many of us like to try out the local cuisine and avoid food spots that we can easily get at home. However, some of our favourite brands offer different menus we wouldn't be able to try at home - and fast food chains look different around the world. While we all know what McDonald's restaurants looks like, the menus vary by location to reflect local tastes and traditions - and there are a few which look nothing like the other eateries. The biggest McDonald's restaurant is in Orlando, Florida, and some fans believe the "poshest" chain is in Long Island. In New Zealand, there is a Maccies where food is served from an abandoned aeroplane, plus there is a floating McDonald's service in Germany. And let's not forget the McDonalds "in a medieval castle" in Indiana, US. Recently people have been wowed by a picturesque chain in Oahu, Hawaii. Surrounded by palm trees and grassland, and a view of the Koolau mountain range, this chain has been described as "McDonald's in heaven" with a video shared on TikTok. The same individual, named Jared, said: "I flew to Hawaii to see the world's most beautiful McDonalds." He was adamant about visiting the impressive space after seeing videos online. Another video shared on Instagram shows people queuing for the drive thru while admiring the breathtaking mountain views. Wowed viewers rushed to comment, as one individual said: "The view is pretty, the scenery is awesome." Someone wrote: "No joke, I will wait in that line all damn day! Get my food and go back around again." One other said: "I'm not even complaining when my order is late." "I would say 'welcome to Jurassic Park' every time we roll up," joked another. "Waiting for a T-Rex to come through those mountains," joked one other. Another described it as a "junk spot in heaven". One other obsessed over the "beautiful view". "Oh my God it's beautiful," added one other. "I lived in Maui for many years and I miss is so much," commented one other.
