After turning heads with her appearance at Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final, fans in Florida had been hoping for an encore from Taylor Swift at Game 6.
But while it initially was reported that the music megastar would be back alongside boyfriend Travis Kelce in a box at Amerant Bank Arena on Tuesday night, the reporter who broke the news slammed the brakes on it.

During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show on Monday, Canadian broadcaster Jackie Redmond said that she had a 'good source' tell her that the power couple would be in the building for the pivotal tilt between the Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers.

'I have a good source claiming that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will be in the house for Game 6,' Redmond said. 'Not confirmed but according to a good source.'
However, later in the afternoon she was forced to walk back her statement, joking that she has 'downgraded' her source.
My 'good source' has been downgraded to just a 'source' - might've gotten bad info on this.

'My 'good source' has been downgraded to just a 'source,'' Redmond posted on social media Monday afternoon. 'Might have gotten bad info on this.'
Swift and Kelce — who grew up playing hockey in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, and remains a big fan of the sport — took in Game 4 from a suite last Thursday and were treated to a thrilling contest. The Oilers were able to rally after going down 3-0 and 4-1, tying the game with 19.5 seconds remaining and then winning it in overtime.
But while it now doesn't appear the couple will be in attendance, there is set to be one celebrity in the house at Game 6 that Florida fans will be hoping to get a peak of: The Stanley Cup.
As confirmed by the official X account of the NHL's championship trophy, the Cup will be in the arena at Sunrise on Tuesday night.

St. Albert seniors cheering on the Oilers with their very own Papa Stanley
Papa Stanley (middle) with Oilers fans at Everitt Gardens, ready to cheer on the team for Game 6 on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. A group of Oilers fans in St. Albert is finding their own unique way to support the team without having to go down to the Ice District. Seniors at Everitt Gardens are known for their Oilers game day videos on TikTok, often dressing up and belting out their best chants. While many people might know Mama Stanley, a local fan donned in silver sequins and paint in the Moss Pit, Ed Wilkins is taking a spin by dressing up too, with his group dubbing him Papa Stanley. 'First of all, I thought they were kidding me and secondly, I thought I was nuts to do it but it's fun.' Wilkins told CTV News Edmonton. His outfit consists of a silver face paint, a sequined T-shirt, a silver top hat with tinsel and a glittery skirt to replicate the Stanley Cup. Wilkins says last year Mama Stanley paid a visit and loved his outfit as well. 'He's such a trooper, he doesn't mind putting on the makeup and he wears our glitter skirt and the glitter top and he gets fully dressed as Papa Stanley,' said Everitt Gardens recreation manager Lori Cary on Tuesday. Cary says it warms her heart to see the seniors build a community during the Oilers playoffs. 'We like to say this is their home and you can really see the love and the fun that they have of shooting these videos and cheering on their favourite team,' she said. She added making TikTok videos to the seniors' recreation calendar for Tuesday afternoons to ensure they kept the spirit going throughout the season. Cary says after Mama Stanley's visit, it was only fair that Papa Stanley make his mark and Wilkins volunteered for the role. Wilkins has no doubt he'll be putting on his silver outfit for a potential Game 7. 'They are a great team, there's no two ways about it.' With files from CTV News Edmonton's Amanda Anderson

Oilers look to stave off elimination in must-win Stanley Cup Game 6 against Panthers
Edmonton's Stuart Skinner is back to starting in goal for the Oilers as they look to stave off elimination in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup finals against the Panthers in Florida. Skinner started the first four games of the final before being replaced by Calvin Pickard, who won Game 4 after relieving Skinner but went on to start and lose in Game 5. Up 3-2, the Panthers are just one win away from being crowned champions for a second year in a row, having defeated Edmonton in seven games last year. If the Oilers could force a Game 7 again this year, they'd have the benefit of playing the winner-take-all game in Edmonton on Friday. Edmonton's quest for a sixth cup will be difficult but not impossible — eight teams in NHL history have overcome a 3-2 deficit in the finals to win the Stanley Cup.
