LeBron James seen partying with A-listers amid Lakers trade rumors
The NBA's all-time leading scorer was spotted partying in the South of France this week with his wife, Savannah James, and his business partner, Maverick Carter.
A video of the couple dancing and singing along to Kendrick Lamar's Drake diss track, 'Not Like Us,' while wining and dining at an oceanfront restaurant made the rounds online Tuesday.
At one point, Savannah was seen sipping a glass of white wine and dancing with her portable fan in the other hand.
The video also included Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who was seen filming his wife, Lauren Sanchez, dancing to the song at a table nearby.
The couple tied the knot in a star-studded affair last month in Venice.
James clearly took advice from his agent, Rich Paul, who said he told the four-time NBA champ to 'enjoy his summer' amid constant attention about his playing future.
James, who will turn 41 in December, is rumored to want out of the Lakers after Paul released a statement regarding the 21-time All-Star accepting his $52.6 million player option.
'LeBron wants to compete for a championship,' Paul told ESPN last month. 'He knows the Lakers are building for the future. He understands that, but he values a realistic chance of winning it all. We are very appreciative of the partnership that we've had for eight years with Jeanie [Buss] and Rob [Pelinka] and consider the Lakers as a critical part of his career.
'We understand the difficulty in winning now while preparing for the future. We do want to evaluate what's best for LeBron at this stage in his life and career. He wants to make every season he has left count, and the Lakers understand that, are supportive and want what's best for him.'
James, who is entering his 23rd season, has a no-trade clause in his contract.
Despite speculation that James might reunite with Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis in Dallas, NBA insider Rachel Nichols reported last week that the 'Mavericks do not want LeBron James' and 'have messaged that out through multiple reporters.'
Nichols added that she 'thinks that door is closed.'

That has likely played a part in his reluctance to sign a new deal with the franchise, as, at his age, he needs to be playing consistently if he's going to reach his full potential. Golden State will undoubtedly want to end the current stalemate and turn its attention to other offseason priorities, such as signing some reinforcements ahead of the new season. Golden State Warriors release Stephen Curry career dunks highlight package
When you think of Stephen Curry, you think of his amazing shooting ability, you think of him turning away as soon as a shot leaves his hands, or, you think of his night-night celebration. Curry has become synonymous with 3-point shooting, and in turn, he's helped lead the Golden State Warriors to four NBA championships. However, Curry is more than just a 3-point assassin. He's also a solid playmaker, an inverted screener, and can get to the rim at will. What you don't think about, though, is the different dunks he's had throughout his career. Curry jamming the rock home is always an afterthought, primarily because of how rarely it happens. On July 23, the Warriors' YouTube account decided to remind the world that Curry can throw the rock down when the time is right. It pieced together footage from every dunk he's made in his career and posted it as a 4-minute and 37-second highlight reel, allowing fans to relive some of the more explosive moments of his career. Could the Nets consider trading for Lakers' Dalton Knecht?
The Brooklyn Nets have been trying to ensure that this current rebuild is going to be successful, specifically through the work that the team has put in for the 2025 NBA Draft. Brooklyn made an NBA-record five picks in the 2025 Draft, showing how much stock the Nets are putting in the class. However, one has to wonder if other moves could be made. The Nets had an active offseason as they traded for a fifth first-round pick from the Atlanta Hawks and forward Terance Mann and acquired forward Michael Porter Jr. and a 2032 first-round pick from the Denver Nuggets in exchange for forward Cam Johnson. As of this writing, the Nets only have to figure out what they're going to do with restricted free-agent guard Cam Thomas in terms of re-signing him or not. Whether or not Brooklyn decides to re-sign Thomas or let him walk, general manager Sean Marks has made it clear that the team is considering every avenue to add talent to the team along with draft capital. Bleacher Report's Eric Pincus recently put together a mock three-team trade (involving the Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers) in which Brooklyn wouldn't get any draft picks, but they could get a player that could be part of their future: The Mock Trade Mavericks receive: LeBron James (from Lakers), Bronny James (from Lakers), Drew Timme (from Nets), Tyrese Martin (from Nets), $1.8 million trade exception (Dwight Powell), and $1.1 million trade exception (Olivier-Maxence Prosper). Lakers receive: Daniel Gafford (from Mavericks), PJ Washington (from Mavericks), Naji Marshall (from Mavericks), Caleb Martin (from Mavericks), Jaden Hardy (from Mavericks), 2030 Lakers second-rounder (from Nets), 2031 Lakers second-rounder (from Nets), and $24.1 million trade exception (LeBron James). Nets receive: Dalton Knecht (from Lakers), Maxi Kleber (from Lakers), Olivier-Maxence Prosper (from Mavericks), and Dwight Powell (from Mavericks). Based on what the Nets would be getting in this mock trade, it seems that the point of doing the deal from Brooklyn's perspective is to have Knecht on the roster to grow alongside one of the youngest rosters in the league. The players that the Nets would be losing would be Timme and Martin, but those are two players who could be in danger of being cut due to the number of new players on Brooklyn's roster. Even though second-round picks are more valuable nowadays than they were prior to the current CBA, if the Lakers are willing to let go of players like Knecht in return for second-round picks, that would be something to take advantage of. Granted, Los Angeles would be moving Knecht in order to take in the amount of players they are getting from the Nets and Mavericks in the deal. Knecht, 24, is coming off a 2024-25 season in which he averaged 9.1 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game while shooting 46.1% from the field and 37.6% from three-point land during his rookie campaign with the Lakers. Knecht, the 17th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, played in 78 games, but he averaged just 19.2 minutes per contest, a figure he would most likely exceed if he were a member of the Nets. Verdict: Yes, the Nets would do this trade if presented.
