A detailed national forecast shows that heavy rain or showers are on the cards for the capital and it looks set to continue into next week.
Looking at the conditions today,
The day will be fresher with some cool temperatures compared to the weekend, with top temperatures ranging from 18C to 20C.

Tonight will see showers continue, turning heavy and possibly thundery at times, with temperatures dropping down to 12 degrees with moderate, occasionally fresh, southerly winds.
And Dublin will continue to stay wet, with further spells of rain and mostly cloudy conditions tomorrow.
However, Tuesday will brighten up from the west with a "mix of sunny spells and showers" as the day goes on, with mainly dry conditions developing for the evening.
The temperatures peak between 17C and 19C with moderate northwest winds before it gets cooler with lows between 8C and 13C during the night.

Wednesday will see some mist and fog form, which will eventually clear during the morning due to hazy sunshine, but clouds with outbreaks of rain and drizzle will gradually extend over the capital.
Met Eireann said the capital will still experience somewhat warm temperatures as it will reach the highs of 17C to 21C before outbreaks of rain occur during the night.

And it will be a mild night with temperatures not falling below 13C to 17C.
Thursday is expected to be another cloudy day with outbreaks of rain breaking up into showers, with some showers will be heavy with a chance of isolated thunderstorms.

However, sunny spells will develop during the afternoon and evening, with the temperature peaking at 18C to 23C - the hottest day of the week.
WEEKEND FORECAST
Met Eireann also revealed what the weather will look like for the capital for the weekend.
Friday's forecast suggests variable cloud amounts with some sunshine and scattered showers.
Temperatures will reach highs of 17C to 21C in light southwest wind.

And for the weekend, they said that it will be "unsettled overall with low pressure dominating bringing showers or longer spells of rain at times.

The alert affects Dublin, Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath and Wicklow. Meanwhile, a status yellow rain and thunderstorm warning has also been issued for Clare, Kerry, Limerick and Galway. Met Eireann warned of heavy spells of rain in those areas with thunderstorms possible. As a result, there is the possibility of surface water flooding, lightning damage and difficult travelling conditions. The yellow alert for those four counties will begin at 7pm this evening and last until 7am on Tuesday. ‘Lightning damage' alert amid major thunderstorm warning as Met Eireann pinpoints 14 counties at risk & flood threat
