Alan Bersten Is Going to 'Keep It Professional' with Emma Slater But Says He's 'Enjoying Life' After That Onstage Kiss
Alan Bersten is planning to 'keep it professional' with Emma Slater after hard launching their relationship last month.
The Dancing with the Stars pros kissed at the end of their dance and finally confirmed their romance after months of fan speculation during their final performance on the DWTS: Live! 2025 tour on April 19.
The 30-year-old professional dancer told E! News that the pair are 'just enjoying life together' following the viral moment, adding, "No pressure there, but we're just enjoying it."

"We're both professionals," he continued. "So, we're going to keep it professional. I'm just excited for season 34."
Despite Bersten keeping the focus on the ballroom, Dancing with the Stars host Alfonso Ribeiro previously told PEOPLE that "there was no surprise" amongst the show's cast about Slater and Bersten's "connection." The "launch" of the relationship was a surprise, however, he told PEOPLE.
"Emma's my sister and she's at my house several times a week. So, clearly, my household knew what was going on. We just didn't know that they had made the decision to launch," he said at Disney's Get Real event in Los Angeles on April 22.

"At the end of the day, [I'm] happy for them," Ribeiro, 53, added. "When people find something that they enjoy — enjoy it, live it. Why live a lie?"
The launch also made sense given the "rumors were out there" already about a potential connection between the dancers, as Ribeiro noted. "I think that people were already [speculating]."
Ribeiro wasn't the only one in the DWTS family cheering on the couple.
After fan Callie Justine captured the steamy and unexpected moment at the closing performance in Rosemont, Illinois, and dubbed the kiss between Slater, 36, and Bersten 'the greatest hard launch of all time,' fellow pro Ezra Sosa commented, 'FINALLY.'

Prior to their romance, Slater was married to fellow pro Sasha Farber until 2023. PEOPLE confirmed that the couple — who famously got engaged on DWTS in 2016 and wed in 2018 — had separated in August 2022, and Slater later filed for divorce in February 2023.
Bersten, meanwhile, dated model Alexis Ren, whom he was paired with in season 27 of DWTS. The former couple split in 2018.

People deletes Olivia Munn story after Ms. Rachel comments draw 'threats'
In a rare move, People magazine deleted a story from its website on Wednesday after it triggered 'violent' threats against its subject, the actress Olivia Munn, and her family. The story was about Munn's distaste for children's television and bore a headline specifically citing the popular YouTuber Ms. Rachel — which apparently triggered some fans. 'There is no excuse for these abhorrent attacks, and we will always prioritize safety above all else,' the publication acknowledged in a statement explaining the decision to remove a story. Oprah Says Barbara Walters' Struggles With Motherhood Made Her Never Want Kids
Oprah Winfrey is opening up about the many ways her 'mentor' Barbara Walters impacted her life, both personally and professionally. In the documentary 'Barbara Walters Tell Me Everything,' due out later this month on Hulu, Winfrey recalls witnessing Walters' 'charged, complex relationship' with her daughter, Jacqueline Guber. 'It's one of the reasons why I never had children,' Winfrey, who has been in a relationship with partner Stedman Graham since 1986, explains in the film. 'I remember her telling me once that 'there's nothing more fulfilling than having children, and you should really think about it.' And I was like, 'OK, but I'm looking at you. So, no.'' Walters, who died in 2022 at age 93, adopted her daughter with then-husband Lee Guber after several miscarriages. But as 'Barbara Walters Tell Me Everything' shows, Walters had a difficult time balancing parenting with her high-profile career in television. Growing up, Jacqueline Guber often butted heads with Walters, and experienced drug and alcohol addiction. As a teenager and young adult, her relationship with her famous mother often was strained. In an interview with People published this week, former NBC correspondent Cynthia McFadden recalls Walters being 'very regretful about her family life.' 'She couldn't understand someone like Jackie, who wasn't racing to the top. They were just so dispositionally and physically unlike each other,' McFadden explained. 'It was a struggle.
