Springbok star Eben Etzebeth and his wife Anlia are expecting their second child.
The couple shared the news in an Instagram post captioned: "Baby Etzebeth number two on the way. Can't wait to welcome our little wildflower girl."
The couple met in October 2021 through mutual friends and were married in February 2023. They welcomed their first child, a son, in January 2024.

Evan Roos' Springbok omission: It's not personal, says Rassie
Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus has explained Evan Roos' initial omission from the 54-man squad that was named for the Tests against the Barbarians, Italy, and Georgia. The Stormers loose forward was called up following Bulls No 8 Cameron Hanekom's hamstring injury. Hanekom sustained the injury during the United Rugby Championship semi-final victory against the Sharks at Loftus. Speaking during a press conference on Thursday, Erasmus said: 'It wouldn't be a nice thing to talk team selection now, but I saw the things people wrote. It's definitely not a personal issue.' Erasmus went on to explain that Roos' form – combined with the depth at eight – led to other players getting the nod ahead of him. 'At this stage he's just competing with the best. We all have different opinions on who plays well and who doesn't. In our opinion, he wasn't playing as well as the other guys and that's normally the reason we don't select guys. 'At this stage, Juarno [Augustus; failed to pass an exit medical at Northhampton Saints ahead of his move to Ulster] and Cameron [Hanekom] are out. Evan was not playing as well as the other guys. That's not to say he isn't Springbok level, it's just that Kwagga Smith, Cameron, Juarno, and Siya [Kolisi] can all play eight. 'A guy can be good enough, but there are just two or three guys who we think fit better into what we are trying to do as a Springbok team. Maybe he just doesn't fit that plan or the other guys are a bit more settled.' The Springboks will kick off their season with a historic match against the Barbarians on Saturday, June 28. Ntokozo Makhaza: I got a call from an unknown number
Ntokozo Makhaza stands on the brink of history, after receiving a maiden Springbok call up last week. Makhaza first made headlines when he was first named in the second alignment camp squad by Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus. Often known for his 'genius' rugby ideas and strategies, Erasmus pulled another one out of the hat with Makhaza. The 2x World Cup winning mentor had done something similar before. This time last year, he called up former NWU Pukke Varsity Cup winning captain Sampie Swiegers . Starring at what was looking like a brewing tighthead prop crisis, Eramsus turned to the burly star for cover. But in the end, it was just for cover. But with Makhaza, while many were expecting a similar situation, it proved different. Speaking to Newzroom Afrika 's Yolulwe Qoshe in Durban, he describes how he found out about his Springbok alignment camp call. 'I think I was overjoyed. I obviously, initially got the text from my coach, like two days before we won the Varsity Cup (with UCT Ikeys). Him telling me that, Rassie Erasmus asked for my number, at first I thought he was joking. Only for him to say no, he is being honest and telling the truth. And then from then on I was just overjoyed. I think everyday for a month after that, I was expecting that call from him, which I didn't get.' Makhaza recalls. Makhaza then remembers the moment things seemed to change in his favour, with that Springbok call finally coming! ' Until this one morning, I got a call from an unknown number, picked it up and it was Rassie (Erasmus). In that moment, I don't remember half the conversation, I was just overjoyed! But it's also very inspiring, to have someone like him looking at Varsity rugby, a 2x World Cup winner. Sees something in me' Makhaza continued. Makhaza relieves the moment he walked into the alignment camp, wearing the same Springbok tracksuit as some World Cup winners. ' I felt humbled and honoured I was like, 'is this really me? Being in the presence of all these players who have made a name for themselves in rugby. World Cup winners like Siya Kolisi. I mean, I even remember the people I was sitting around. In front of me was (Damian) Willemse, to his right was Kolisi, to his right was (Eben) Etzebeth, behind me was (Lukhanyo) Am, (Aphelele) Fassi, Ox Nche and Bongi Mbonambi' recalled Makhaza about being in the presence of experienced Springboks. 'In that moment I tried to pinch myself, I look down, I was wearing a Springbok top and I was like, is this really me, being in this environment. But it was a very welcoming experience. I never felt left out in anyway. That's just credit to the culture that they have and it made me want to be a part of it more' Makhaza continued. The 23-year-old Bethlehem-born star could be set for a historic feat. This by becoming the first player to be capped by the Springboks before playing a professional game. Makhaza says achieving that would mean the world to himself and his family. 'It would probably feel unreal at that moment but, it would be a testament to what people have done for me. The support that they've given me, my parents, my coaches, teammates, teachers and all my mentors along the way. So if I was to ever make that team it would be testament to their hard work, not just mine.' He concluded. Image: Instagram True crime fans can prepare to delve into a harrowing chapter of legal mishaps and personal tragedy with the upcoming limited series, "The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox". Disney+ recently announced that the eight-episode journey, inspired by one of the most controversial criminal cases in recent history, will premiere on Wednesday, August 20. The gripping story will follow Amanda Knox, an American student wrongfully accused of murdering her roommate Meredith Kercher in 2007 while they were studying abroad in Perugia, Italy. Twenty-one-year-old Kercher's body was found in her bedroom, partly undressed and with multiple stab wounds. She had been sexually assaulted. The series chronicles Knox's unsettling odyssey - from being sentenced to 26 years in prison alongside her boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito due to inadequate circumstantial evidence, to navigating the Italian judicial system. Van Patten's portrayal promises to capture Knox's experience, from her wrongful conviction to her difficult fight for exoneration. Sharon Horgan will portray Knox's mother, Edda Mellas, with John Hoogenakker as Knox's father, Curt. Francesco Acquaroli takes up the role of the Italian prosecutor Giuliano Mignini, Giuseppe De Domenico will embody Raffaele Sollecito, Knox's then-boyfriend, while Roberta Mattei infuses the series with intensity as Monica Napoleoni, a fierce prosecutor's aide determined to see Knox and Sollecito convicted. Meanwhile, in another online report, Meredith Kercher's sister, Stephanie Kercher said Meredith's 'strength and love remains strong after 17 years' and that she 'will forever hold a lasting legacy in friendship and kindness that no media can change'. Stephanie said her family had been through a lot and found it 'difficult to understand' how the series served any purpose. 'Meredith will always be remembered for her own fight for life, and yet in her absence, her love and personality continues to shine ... We will forever feel this indescribable void but we live by Meredith's standards with dignity.'
