In a statement, H.E. Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), emphasised that Riyadh Season's sponsorship of this high-level partnership is part of its broader efforts to cement the season's global presence. He noted that the previous year's sponsorship of LALIGA marked a key milestone in that journey, and this new initiative continues that strategic direction, reinforcing Riyadh Season's international impact across diverse sectors.
Javier Tebas, President of LaLiga, said: 'We are pleased to join forces with Riyadh Season and Thmanyah to enhance the audiovisual production standards of the Saudi Pro League—which we have already enjoyed a fruitful collaboration. We are starting from a solid foundation, as the SPL's audiovisual production is already managed by highly skilled professionals. It will be a pleasure to work alongside them in delivering even more exceptional broadcast experiences. At LaLiga, we are deeply committed to sharing our knowledge and expertise to support the global development of football. This partnership represents an important milestone for Saudi football and its international reach.'
Under the agreement, LaLiga will provide consultancy and technical expertise to enhance SPL's audiovisual standards, including camera positioning, signal configuration, audio systems, stadium lighting and modern production workflows. The plan also includes creating a technical production manual, introducing advanced broadcast technologies and delivering specialised training to develop local production talent.
The partnership further incorporates an anti-piracy initiative to protect premium sports and entertainment content in Saudi Arabia. Oversight will be led by Tebas, supported by audiovisual experts and regional coordinators through LaLiga's MENA office, in coordination with stakeholders in the Kingdom.
Backed by Riyadh Season, the alliance aims to offer a richer, fully integrated viewing experience that boosts broadcast quality and strengthens audience engagement both domestically and worldwide.

The 25-year-old won his second Scudetto with Napoli last season, and has made a total of 88 league appearances for the club, scoring 13 goals, but the majority of his game time has come from the bench. Raspadori was part of Italy's triumphant Euro 2020 squad and has scored nine goals for his country in 40 appearances.
