TVB star Rosina Lam, who married finance executive Jason Mok in 2015, lives in a luxurious mansion at the prestigious The Peak, Hong Kong, where property is said to cost HK$1.5bil (approximately RM900mil).
So, it was a surprise to fans when news circulated that the TVB Best Actress winner is in the middle of a bankruptcy petition.
Lam has since opened up about the bankruptcy claims, saying: 'My husband Jason's rental property company is involved in a lawsuit and is currently appealing. So this whole thing is baffling to me.
"The matter has been handed over to our lawyer, and I haven't received any official notice.'
The 37-year-old TVB star subsequently shared a lawyer's letter to further clarify her stance.
'Thank you all for your concern. I am not bankrupt. Please stop spreading rumours. The matter has been handed over to our lawyer!' she said on Weibo on May 30.
According to entertainment site Jaynestars, the case is scheduled for hearing on Aug 26 this year. View this post on Instagram

MIC Boss To Scammed Malaysian ‘National Geographic' Photographer: 'Don't Give Up, Bro!'

Subscribe to our FREE The young photographer who was fooled by a fake National Geographic letter has received some solid advice from MIC's big boss. MIC president Tan Sri S. A. Vigneswaran told the guy: 'When one door slams shut, 10 others swing open.' A few weeks ago, news sites were abuzz about how 32-year-old Tinesh Sritharan was supposedly selected for National Geographic's prestigious Explorer program in Kenya. The young photographer was so excited, he slid into Senator Dato Sivarraajh Chandran's Instagram DMs to share his good news. He presented his 'acceptance letter' and emails that looked legit enough to fool anyone. Impressed by his story, Sivarraajh took him to meet the MIC president. The boss was thrilled to meet an ambitious young Malaysian Indian and decided to back him with RM15,000 for his trip to Kenya. MIC Still Has His Back Then National Geographic dropped the bombshell: the letter was fake. 'Look, if the kid got conned, we feel bad for him,' said Sivarraajh, adding that nobody should have their dreams messed with by scammers. But MIC isn't throwing the photographer under the bus – 'The scam is in the letter, not the kid,' the former Cameron Highlands MP explained. The advice was simple: don't let this setback kill your dreams. You're already in Kenya, mate. Make the most of it and come home with photos that'll make everyone proud. According to Sivarraajh, the MIC leader has no problem with the photographer continuing his work in Kenya, fake letter or not. Photographer Calls Out the Scam Professional photographer Syahrin Abd Aziz was one of the first to suspect something was amiss with the entire National Geographic story. He pointed out major red flags: the guy had to fund his own 'assignment,' his animal photos were actually taken at Zoo Negara, and nobody in Malaysia's tight-knit photography scene had ever heard of him. 'Getting an assignment from National Geographic isn't easy – you need a powerful portfolio and extensive experience,' Syahrin explained. He emphasised that National Geographic rarely works with newcomers, preferring established photographers who are already household names in the field of photojournalism. The photographer noted that when National Geographic assigns real assignments, they provide a representative and cover the costs – they don't require you to pay your own way. In Malaysia's photography scene, we all know each other, so whatever we do, the community will find out. READ MORE : Parts of this story have been sourced from . TV host Lee Teng and wife welcome rainbow baby after 2020 miscarriage

TV host Lee Teng and his wife Gina Lin are now first-time parents to a girl named Ellison. Photo: Gina Lin/Instagram Singaporean TV host Lee Teng and his Taiwanese wife Gina Lin are now first-time parents to a baby girl named Ellison. Announcing the good news on Instagram on Aug 13, he joked about how he should now be called 'Ellis' dad'. The 41-year-old thanked his wife, 32, for her unwavering perseverance in her journey to becoming a mother. Calling their newborn a 'rainbow baby', Lee recounted how the past five years had been anything but easy for the couple after they lost their first child in July 2020. Lin was six months pregnant when she suffered a miscarriage after returning to Taiwan to prepare for the birth of their baby boy, nicknamed Xiao Dou Ya (Little Bean Sprout). Lee was then in Singapore for work and could not leave the country to be with her because of Covid-19 travel restrictions. He managed to reunite with her in August that year, and they subsequently spent three months in Taiwan to heal from the grief together. He apologised to his followers for keeping their second pregnancy a secret. He said: 'My wife and I have faced countless setbacks, and there were moments when I couldn't bear to see her disappointed. At times, I asked if we should give up, simply because I couldn't stand watching her suffer. 'The wait has been long, but the moment I saw the smile on our rainbow baby's face, I knew every second was worth it.' Lee also apologised for turning down work over the past year to be with his wife. Lin shared her heartfelt post on Instagram on Aug 13, writing in Chinese that the past few years had been 'incredibly challenging'. 'Facing physical, mental and emotional strain, and concerns from everyone, I've managed to appear calm and composed. But in reality, I've become incredibly sensitive and insecure,' she admitted. She added that she had been living under a constant barrage of repressed emotions and spent almost the entire pregnancy at home. Addressing her daughter in her post, Lin said: 'Thank you for choosing me to be your mother, thank you for working so hard to grow up, thank you for giving me the courage to face my birthday and thank you for piecing together the broken me bit by bit.' She added: 'From the moment I heard your first cry, it felt so unreal. I wake up every morning and ask myself, 'Is this true?' Thank you for coming safely to us. Your father and I only hope you will be healthy and safe.' – The Straits Times/Asia News Network View this post on Instagram A post shared by Gina Lin (@ginalin)
