If you're in the market for a new laptop, it's always wise to ask yourself, "Do I really need to spend a couple of thousand dollars on a computer?" The answer is, of course, "No."
The $1,000 Nimo N156B Laptop is on sale at Amazon for only $500, and it may just be enough laptop to handle all your portable PC needs. Shoppers love how smoothly it runs, saying its "speed is perfect."
Budget laptops almost always compromise on power, but the Nimo N156B is, thankfully, an outlier. It comes with 32 GB of DDR4 RAM and an entire terabyte of hard drive space. Pair that with an Intel Core i5-12450H Processor and a state-of-the-art cooling system, and you can ensure that this laptop will be revved up and ready to go right out of the box. Of course, if you outgrow it, you can expand both the RAM and the storage space at will.
Its big 15.6-inch screen is equally perfect for streaming, surfing, and gaming, as well as multitasking. You can bet on faster load times and smooth performance, especially when compared to other budget laptops. With an average battery life of seven hours, this is also an excellent laptop for students and commuters. And like any great laptop, it's full of ports so you can make it the heart of your workstation with an added keyboard, mouse, and countless other accessories."So far, everything's going smoothly!" one happy customer said. "I used to struggle with a student Chromebook that didn't quite meet my needs, so I'm thrilled to be back to using a Windows operating system. The addition of a backlit keyboard is a fantastic bonus. Plus, the Type-C charger is incredibly handy — it works seamlessly with both my new iPhone 15 and Mac, eliminating the need for an extra, clunky, old-fashioned charger. This is definitely a purchase I'd make again."
The Nimo N156B Laptop retails for $1,000, but you can shop it on Amazon for only $500 right now. This is an unbeatable price for such an impressive laptop that you'll be able to depend on for years to come.

Even $6K in crypto can get you kidnapped, warns expert

Even $6K in crypto can get you kidnapped, warns expert originally appeared on TheStreet. As Bitcoin continues to feel the spotlight due to growing interest from institutional investors, a new threat is putting the lives of crypto owners in danger, like murder. According to Alena Vranova, a founder of a Czech-based security tech company, SatoshiLabs, at least one person gets kidnapped every week for their crypto wallet keys. "Every week, there is a Bitcoiner, at least one in the world, who gets kidnapped, tortured, extorted, and sometimes even worse," Vranova told attendees, as per reports. Vranova also says that the attacks are not just limited to high-profile individuals, but victims with even $6000 have been targeted. She also adds, "We have seen people murdered for $50,000 in crypto." "We currently have more than 80 million Bitcoiner and crypto user identities leaked online; 2.2 million out of those contain home addresses," Vranova said. She explains that these information leaks allow criminals to target victims and their known as '$5 wrench attacks', the perpetrators resort to old tactics of physical force to obtain users' wallet keys, which are crucial to accessing their funds. The term was popularized by a comic that showed how a basic item like a wrench could destroy even the most powerful cryptographic security. Interestingly, just months prior, on May 28, French police arrested over 20 individuals following multiple plots to kidnap crypto entrepreneurs and their families. In the same month, The Wall Street Journal reported five abductions linked to wrench attacks. The trend of one person being kidnapped per week was predicted by Jameson Lopp. Lopp is the Chief Security Officer and co-founder of a self-custody solution called Casa. On May 24, Lopp said, "My prediction that we'll average 1 attack per week this year is looking on target," on X. Experts recommend avoiding sharing cryptocurrency and personal information, using multisig wallets to prevent theft, and storing money in cold storage with keys in many locations to prevent unauthorized access. Veteran investor slams Bitcoin mining as rewards drop

Veteran investor slams Bitcoin mining as rewards drop originally appeared on TheStreet. Veteran investor Fred Krueger recently slammed Bitcoin mining, as the reward has declined 8 times and the difficulty has risen 1 million times. Bitcoin mining is the process of using high-end computers to solve cryptographic problems known as hashes, validate Bitcoin transactions, and add them to the blockchain network in return for newly created bitcoins as a reward. Hash rate is a metric that measures how fast a miner executes cryptographic functions to solve blocks in a chain. It is calculated in terms of hashes per second, i.e., the number of hash operations executed per second. Bitcoin hash rate has grown 94,000 times in the last 12 years, and the reward has declined 8 times in value, Krueger data from CoinWarz suggests that the Bitcoin hash rate has grown at an even higher rate. In August 2013, the hash rate stood at 427.5 TH/s and has grown to 842.31 EH/s in August 2025. It means the Bitcoin hash rate has grown approximately 1.97 million times over the last 12 years. The Bitcoin mining reward has also fallen from 50 BTC per block in 2009 to 3.125 BTC per block in 2025. It means the current reward is 6.25% of the earlier reward. "What a terrible business," said Krueger. His concern is valid, as Bitcoin mining is no longer as lucrative a venture as it once was. The uncertainty around tariffs on mining-related hardware has also made the mining community concerned. As per Kraken, Bitcoin was trading at $119,788.80 at press time. 'Browse Securely Now': Microsoft Stock (NASDAQ:MSFT) Gains as it Calls Users to Pass Up Chrome

There may be trouble ahead for tech giant Microsoft (MSFT), as it has recently made a lot of advances in security, though not in ways that users are exactly pleased with. While the ongoing push to force users out of Windows 10 and into Windows 11 is still drawing a lot of user complaint, another new measure is also drawing ire. Microsoft wants users to pass up Google's (GOOGL) Chrome browser in exchange for Microsoft's own Edge. This was good enough for investors, who gave Microsoft a modest boost in share prices in Tuesday afternoon's trading. Elevate Your Investing Strategy: Take advantage of TipRanks Premium at 50% off! Windows users who install Chrome are being met with some unexpected messaging from Microsoft: 'Browse securely now. Microsoft Edge runs on the same technology as Chrome, with the added trust of Microsoft.' Given that Chrome users outnumber Edge users by somewhere in the neighborhood of six to one, reports note, this reads less like an actual security issue and more like a marketing ploy. Taskbar flags in the pre-release version of Canary, reports note, will '…pin Edge when you close the browser.' Moreover, the flags specifically mention Chrome by name, and include a flag that triggers when exiting the browser. A second flag is perhaps more disturbing still, calling on users to pin Edge to the taskbar '…when Chrome's usage is greater than 90%.' With a class action lawsuit already firing up to take Windows to task over removing security support for Windows 10, this is not what anyone would call 'good optics' for Microsoft right now. At Least the Game Gets Support While Windows support for laptops and desktops may be failing, a new report notes that Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon 5 will not go wanting for support. In fact, Microsoft recently announced that Turn 10 and Playground Games will continue supporting both Forza titles. The issue was somewhat shrouded in mystery, with some wondering how support could possibly continue as around half of Turn 10 had been laid off last month. But with these remarks, Microsoft seems ready to carry on that support, somehow. And with a range of new games coming out in short order for the 25 th anniversary of Xbox, this should be welcome news for gamers. Is Microsoft a Buy, Hold or Sell? Turning to Wall Street, analysts have a Strong Buy consensus rating on MSFT stock based on 34 Buys and one Hold assigned in the past three months, as indicated by the graphic below. After a 26.03% rally in its share price over the past year, the average MSFT price target of $623.34 per share implies 18% upside potential.
