Fearne Cotton jokingly hit out at Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo after they shared a cheeky video of themselves dancing on the staircase at Buckingham Palace. Reality TV stars Jamie and his wife Sophie, who tied the knot in April 2023, have been sharing updates with fans since announcing Sophie's pregnancy.
In their latest update to fans on social media, the 36-year-old star, who was in Made in Chelsea from 2011 to 2020, is seen dancing alongside Sophie in what appears to be Buckingham Palace. The couple were seen standing on a lavish staircase with lavish paintings hung up on the walls.
Within minutes of Jamie uploading his footage, purportedly shot inside Buckingham Palace, the official Instagram account "theroyalfamily" replied: "We see you" with a pair of eyes and a wink emojis.
The King's Trust also entered the conversation in the spirit of the occasion, saying: 'All of our attendees are very well behaved' with the same look and a laughing emoji.
Fearne joined in on the cheeky video as she jokingly slammed the couple in the comment section with a sarcastic comment.
"You also had your pap camera out with a flash. Think of what the flash has done to those priceless paintings," she wrote, to which some fans asked whether she was serious.
"Jokingggggg. I took loads too," she later clarified.
Some Instagram users aimed fire at Jamie, who now hosts a show on BBC Radio One, calling the video "disrespectful" and "cringe".
One user commented: "Disrespectful - go get a real job!" Others joked: "Some rules are meant to be broken." Some users jumped to the couple's defence to say: "who are they disrespecting?"
Other celebs posted replies too. Kerry Villers, who is a social media influencer, said: "I feel like you can see Jamie's excitement to become a dad in his face and it's pure joy." TV presenter and former member of The Saturdays, Rochelle Humes, shared her own experience trying to sneak a photo in Buckingham Palace.
The mum of three wrote: "The speed that this happened is genuinely impressive. I just about got mine in focus for a sneaky pic."
A palace aide told the Daily Mail that no offence was taken from the cheeky clip. They said: "I'm sure it was done in a spirit of fun, and of course aligned to Jamie's wonderful support for The King's Trust Awards - even if it's not something we would greatly encourage every guest to attempt."
Jamie was attending a reception at Buckingham Palace yesterday alongside the likes of George and Amal Clooney to highlight The King's Trust's annual awards for some of the charity's greatest success stories.

Beach Boys star Brian Wilson's cause of death has been revealed after the last surviving brother from the iconic band died aged 82. Formed in Hawthorne, California, in 1961, the original line-up of the American rock band included brothers Brian, Dennis and Carl Wilson, their cousin Mike Love, and their friend Al Jardine. Wilson's family announced his death earlier this month, after he had been living with a neurocognitive disorder, believed to be dementia. The iconic bandmember reportedly died from respiratory arrest, which occurs when the heart is still beating but the lungs stop functioning, according to a death certificate seen by TMZ. The certificate is also said to list a series of other health issues Wilson was suffering from when he died, including sepsis and cystitis.
