Diddy Took Cassie's Phone When He Suspected Her of Dancing with Chris Brown: Court Testimony

Yahoo16-05-2025

Cassie repeated allegations on Friday that Diddy would turn angry and at times violent if he found out she was dating other men
Men Diddy was reportedly angry over include Chris Brown, rapper Kid Cudi and an NFL player not named in the testimony
Cassie alleges Diddy trafficked her into sexual encounters with several men over the duration of their relationship, recording the encountersSean 'Diddy' Combs' once allegedly took his then-girlfriend Casandra 'Cassie' Ventura's phone in a fit of jealousy when he suspected she had danced with Chris Brown.
Combs' defense lawyer made the claim in a Manhattan courtroom on Friday, May 16, during cross-examining Ventura, who is the prosecution's star witness in the hip hop mogul's sex crimes trial.
Ventura appeared in court for the fourth day in a row, wrapping up a week where she recounted harrowing details of alleged abuse she suffered at the hands of Combs during their on-again, off-again relationship that lasted over a decade.
During cross-examination on Friday, Combs' attorney Anna Estevao asked Ventura if she remembered Combs taking her phone in 2013 after he suspected her of dancing with singer Chris Brown in the street.
Ventura said she didn't remember much of the incident 'besides the fact that I wasn't dancing with Chris Brown," she said in a half-laugh.
When Estevao pulled up text exchanges pertaining to the incident for only her to see, Ventura said she still doesn't remember the exact details except that Combs took her phone out of 'jealousy.'
Brown himself is also currently facing legal troubles after being arrested in the United Kingdom and charged with grievous bodily harm this week over an alleged 2023 assault at a London nightclub. He is being held without bail.

Ventura made similar allegations earlier in the week, claiming Combs threatened to harm other men he believed she was involved with: on one occasion, when he found out she was dating rapper Kid Cudi, Combs allegedly threatened to blow up his car, she said.
'If I was with anyone else besides him,' Ventura reiterated on Friday, he would get "upset."
She recounted a 2016 incident when Combs allegedly took her phone upon finding out she was dating an NFL player, at a time her and Combs were not together and were 'not in a great place.'
The two were in a car headed to a doctor's appointment when Ventura unlocked her phone, she told the court, and Combs allegedly grabbed it and ran out of the car.
"He was trying to get in it and read my phone," Ventura testified.
She got her phone a few hours later and alleged that Combs called the NFL player during the time he had Ventura's phone.

Former Dallas Cowboys Star Adam 'Pacman' Jones Pleads Not Guilty in Officer Assault Case

Former Dallas Cowboys Star Adam 'Pacman' Jones Pleads Not Guilty in Officer Assault Case originally appeared on Athlon Sports. FRISCO - Dallas Cowboys and Cincinnati Bengals standout Adam "Pacman" Jones had his day in court on Wednesday and pleaded not guilty to the criminal charges he stands accused of following his arrest last weekend. Advertisement Jones, 41, was arrested in Northern Kentucky on multiple charges, including assaulting an officer, alcohol intoxication in a public place and disorderly conduct, and placed into custody on Saturday morning. According to charges from the Kenton County Jail records, Jones was arrested in the early morning hours of Saturday. Jones' attorney is speaking out while accusing the police and the media of twisting those facts. 'The recent arrest of Adam 'Pacman' Jones in Covington, Kentucky, is yet another example of overzealous policing and the systemic issues that plague our justice system,' attorney Pete Schaefer said. 'Adam did nothing wrong other than exercise his right to ask why he was being detained ... Advertisement 'Initially, officers claimed he was being arrested for assault and then shifted to public intoxication (which, in itself, is not a crime in many jurisdictions unless it leads to dangerous behavior), and finally settled on disorderly conduct — simply for asking why he was being detained. "This pattern of escalating and inconsistent charges is a clear abuse of authority and demonstrates a troubling trend of police officers prioritizing their own discretion over constitutional rights.'' Schaefer also suggested Jones has been victimized by the court of public opinion. 'Adam, like every American, is innocent until proven guilty. Yet, once again, his past is being weaponized against him in the court of public opinion, while the officers involved face no scrutiny for their conduct. The repeated mischaracterization of his encounters with law enforcement — often stemming from minor incidents — only reinforces the need for accountability in policing. "Enough is enough ... Adam deserves fairness, not another headline designed to paint him as a villain for clicks.'' Advertisement Jones has been arrested numerous times during the past two decades, most recently in DFW for another case allegedly involving public intoxication, assault of a police officer, and evading arrest ... all coming following the highly publicized Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul fight at AT&T Stadium. Jones' issues date back to the beginning of his NFL career, which started with him being the sixth overall pick in the 2005 NFL Draft. In addition to starting with the Titans, Jones played for the Cowboys (in 2008), the Cincinnati Bengals (from 2010-2017), and Denver Broncos (in 2018). He was a Pro Bowl selection in 2015 and a first-team All-Pro in 2014. In October 2008, Jones, as a member of the Cowboys, was suspended for an altercation at a Dallas hotel. Jason Kelce's Wife Kylie Reveals ‘Nightmare' Part of Life at Home With 4 Kids: ‘Don't Come for Me'

NFL star Jason Kelce's wife Kylie has candidly opened up about one of her least favorite parts of parenting their four kids at home—while asking other mothers for advice on how to handle what she described as a 'nightmare' situation. Kylie, 33, and retired Philadelphia Eagles pro Jason, 37, welcomed their fourth daughter, Finnley, in March, prompting the mom of four to take a brief break from her hit podcast, 'Not Gonna Lie.' However, she returned to her popular show earlier this month and wasted no time in laying bare how her life has changed since they added another baby to their brood. In her latest episode, Kylie—who records the podcast in the couple's $6 million Pennsylvania mansion—opened up about a viral moment during her husband's new installment of his own 'New Heights' podcast when their 4-year-old daughter, Elliotte, could be heard yelling: 'I'm all done pooping!' Addressing the hilarious incident, Kylie explained that her three oldest kids have all been taught to call for their mother when they're done in the bathroom so that she can ensure they properly wipe and wash their hands. However, with three children now calling for her attention after their trips to the bathroom, Kylie admitted that it's become a bit too much for her to handle. 'Can someone tell me when you're supposed to stop wiping your kids' butts?' she asked. 'I could be about to get dragged on the Internet … all the moms out there, can you tell me so that we can sort of add them all up and get the average of when we should stop wiping their butts specifically for poop? Okay? Don't come for me.' Kylie, who also shares Wyatt, 5, and Bennett, 2, with Jason, went on to explain that she feels as though the 'I'm done pooping' cries have become a near-constant 'soundtrack' in her life, joking: 'That's the soundtrack of my life right there. 'This happens probably anywhere from two times minimum, six times maximum a day. It is legitimately something that I hear in my … I was gonna say dreams, but let's be honest, that's a nightmare.' Bennett, in particular, likes to have company whenever she's in the bathroom, with Kylie revealing that her second-youngest child needs 'full assistance on the potty,' adding: 'She wants you to sit on the edge of the tub and have a full-blown conversation with her. 'Then if you try to leave the bathroom, she'll go, 'I'm all done. I'm not all done. I'm all done. I'm not all done.'' It's now reached the point, she confessed, where she and Jason argue over who will respond to each call, joking that her children seem to have an uncanny knack for asking for whichever parent is busy at that exact moment in time. '[Jason and I] start passing the blame back like a fun little game,' she said, adding: 'They just yell for anyone that they were previously with or that they know is in the middle of something. 'That's usually the one they ask for: the person who's in the middle of a task. My favorite is when they do it while I'm rolling meatballs.' The very candid confession comes just two weeks after Kylie announced that she was returning to her podcast, while sharing an intimate glimpse into her very 'relatable' life at home with her four kids. The mother of four shared a spoof Instagram video filmed inside the property in which she could be seen hanging out with the couple's daughters in their living room—including newborn Finnley, who was seen perched on her mom's lap. Kylie was seen sitting in the living space with her baby girl, while her other three kids cause mischief and mayhem. Revealing a glimpse into the chaos of motherhood, Kylie could be seen attempting to keep her kids in line while they happily ignore her requests to behave. 'What are you doing?' Kylie asked her children, while trying to nurse Finnley. 'Why are you scooting on your butt like that?' Ignoring their mother, Wyatt and Elliotte began singing the children's dance song 'Pop See Ko,' while one of them colored and another ran around the room. Bennett, meanwhile, was seen perched on the couch while grinning at the camera. 'My hands are high, my feet are low, and this is how I pop see ko,' the two girls chanted. 'Pop pop see poo.' 'Don't use potty talk, please,' Kylie then told the girls. 'No! You're a baddie!' one child said to Kylie, who jokingly replied, 'Yeah, I am.' The camera then cut to Kylie's phone, revealing that her producer, 'Queen Emma,' was calling. 'Oooh, hey, Queen Emma! No, this is a great time. Wait, she's available right now? Queen Emma, are we back? All right, give me five minutes,' Kylie said. After hanging up the phone, Kylie shouted for Jason to watch the children as she left the living room. 'Jason, you're on the clock! Girls, mom's gotta go podcast,' she said. She then strutted through her kitchen to reach her podcasting room, which was adorned with fun wallpaper and colorful artwork. Kylie sat down and brushed on some mascara. 'Not going to lie, it feels good to be back,' she says. Zack Baun Ends Fan Panic With Perfect 12-Word Message

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. We've all watched the Philadelphia Eagles for a while now. We may not have watched the game as long as someone who remembers the AFL/NFL merger, but we've certainly seen enough to make educated guesses. We've seen trends, a ton of football, and so many offseasons. We've seen divisional realignment and the NFL going from six divisions to eight. Raise your hand if you remember when the Arizona Cardinals were in the NFC East. Some memories are tougher, such as Reggie White leaving the Eagles in free agency. As sad as that was, however, everyone learned something from it. Losing the Minister of Defense still hurts, but life went on. That being said, an offseason like the most recent, one where so many familiar faces were lost, can be overcome. If you need a shot of confidence, look no further than Zack Baun's direction. Zack Baun #53 of the Philadelphia Eagles celebrates after defeating the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in Super Bowl LIX at Caesars Superdome on February 9, 2025 in New Orleans, Louisiana Zack Baun #53 of the Philadelphia Eagles celebrates after defeating the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in Super Bowl LIX at Caesars Superdome on February 9, 2025 in New Orleans, LouisianaEagles All-Pro Zack Baun Eases Fan and Media Panic With 12 words Coooer DeJean and Reed Blankenship have hit a home run with their Exciting Mics brand. Their podcast is new, but it's loads of fun. Recently, they have interviewed Saquon Barkley. On an even more recent episode, Zack Baun sat down for a conversation. Baun signed an extension after the Super Bowl. He also saw the mass exodus by so many Eagles defenders that we all witnessed during free agency. Fans and the media panicked, but the fan favorite hasn't lost any of his confidence. "I feel like we're miles ahead of where we were last year"... Zack Baun on the Eagles defense heading into the season: 'I feel like we're miles ahead of where we were last year' — Exciting Mics (@excitingmics) June 12, 2025 Those were Baun's words during his interview with Reed and Coop. It sounds simple enough to say, but this is Philly. People need action more than words. Howie Roseman and his staff attacked free agency and the draft, stacking the defense with hungry players looking to make an impact. Philadelphia lost Josh Sweat, Milton Williams, and Darius Slay. They lost Isaiah Rodgers, Oren Burks, and Avonte Maddox. This offseason, they traded C.J. Gardner-Johnson away. Eventually, they moved on from Bryce Huff, but they've stacked the cupboard with low-risk signings and several exciting draftees. Philly is good at this. Adoree Jackson and Azeez Ojulari find their way to Philly from a rival. Josh Uche is another of the free-agent signings. So is Patrick Johnson. During the NFL Draft, they added Jihaad Campbell, Smael Mondon, Ty Robinson, and Andrew Mukuba. Philly didn't sit idly with their losses. They held serve at several positions and, dare we say, they upgraded at some others. They're also infused with youth. Guys like Jeremiah Trotter Jr. and Kelee Ringo await their opportunities. Their time is now, and the consensus is they are ready. Vic Fangio has tons of talent to work with. All of that has been said to say this. Take Baun's words for it. Philly will be just fine on defense in 2025. Believe it or not, they may be better than they were last season.
