PUMA and Al Hilal FC launch new 2025/26 season kits
Drawing inspiration from Al Hilal's rich history and the Kingdom's diverse landscapes, each element of the kit reflects the club's enduring legacy and deep connection with its loyal fanbase, affectionately known as the Blue Wave. From subtle design cues to bold visual statements, the kits embody the values of pride, perseverance, and excellence that define Al Hilal.
The home kit draws from the heart of the Najd region, inspired by traditional mud-brick houses, a nod to the club's humble beginnings in a small, overlooked part of Riyadh, rising to become a national icon and continental powerhouse. The away kit captures the poetic journey of the moon, symbolizing Al Hilal's ever-evolving path. This celestial theme not only reflects the club's name — Al Hilal, meaning The Crescent but also beautifully aligns with our brand's vision through the power of storytelling in design.
This launch follows the tremendous success of the Kid Super X Al Hilal kit, which became one of the top-selling items in PUMA stores globally. The new kits continue to represent the spirit of Saudi Arabia on the world stage.
'As Asian leaders, we're proud to grow globally while staying true to our roots. Our partnership with Al Hilal FC allows us to tell authentic Saudi stories through design, championing sport and culture on the world stage,' - Juhan Kuhlo, General Manager of PUMA Middle East
We are very proud to continue working with PUMA to create pieces that allow us to share our history and legacy on a global scale. Our recent tournament was a clear example where, beyond the sporting results, we were able to represent our country through jerseys that became an unprecedented success. We hope that this new collection will receive a warm welcome from our amazing fan base– Esteve Calzada, CEO at Al Hilal FC
The 25/26 Al Hilal FC home and away kits will be available at PUMA stores, on PUMA.com, at official Al Hilal stores, Blu Store, and select retail partners across the region.

UAE to Tax Sugary Drinks Based on Sugar Content by 2026
Say Goodbye to One-Rate Sugar Tax Starting 2026, the UAE is switching things up with how it taxes your favorite sweetened drinks. Instead of a flat tax based on the drink type, the new system will charge based on how much sugar is actually inside each bottle or can. Yup, the sweeter it is, the higher the tax. What's the Goal Here? This isn't just about raising prices—it's a move to push drink makers to cut down on sugar. The idea is to encourage healthier choices without banning your favorite fizzy treats completely. Less sugar = less tax = win-win. Why Announce It Now? The early announcement gives manufacturers, importers, and suppliers a solid head start. They've got until the beginning of 2026 to update their formulas, adjust their labels, and get their systems ready.

‘Qatar Stock Exchange index balanced, maintains support points'
Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index closed the week up 0.81 percent, adding 88.01 points to its tally, reaching 10,915 points, approaching the 11,000-point barrier. This was supported by the real estate sector, which achieved the highest weekly gains of 2.87 percent, followed by the banking and financial services sector with 1.3 percent. The telecommunications sector was the only loser this week, losing 0.30 percent. In this context, financial market analyst Youssef Bouhlaiqa predicted in his remarks to the Qatar News Agency (QNA) that if the general index continues its current pace of rise, it will break the 11,000-point barrier next week, saying that the market is in a state of balance and stability and is maintaining its support points. The financial market analyst noted that the general index has benefited from the positive results of listed companies that have disclosed their data so far, describing these profits as expected. He noted that local and foreign portfolios are currently in a state of excitement, awaiting the results of the remaining companies' interim dividend distributions. Bouhlaiqa noted an increasing inflow of foreign portfolios into the Qatari market, seeking investment opportunities. Their recent performance has been marked by monitoring the supply and demand for shares of listed companies. Bouhaliqa stressed the need for investors to focus on the movement of leading stocks across various sectors in the coming period, particularly in the industrial, insurance, and telecommunications sectors, to facilitate investment decisions during a period marked by significant performance gains. © Dar Al Sharq Press, Printing and Distribution. Egypt: Vaiu secures FRA approval for $202mln securitization program
Arab Finance: U Consumer Finance, known as valU, has received regulatory approval from the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) for a securitization bond program worth EGP 10 billion. The FRA's board granted the license to EFG Securitization, valU's financial advisor, to proceed with the seventh securitization program. The bonds will be issued against valU's future financial rights portfolios, with a ceiling of EGP 13 billion. The FRA stated that the program will span two years from the date of approval and is expected to be executed through up to nine issuances. valU explained that this step aligns with its strategy to diversify funding sources, noting that securitization remains a key financing tool to support business growth and enhance financial flexibility. In a related development, valU had previously disclosed that Amazon exercised its right to acquire a 3.95% direct stake in the company's issued capital. This move, executed under a May 2022 agreement, highlights the confidence of leading global technology players in Egypt's digital financial sector. The agreement granted Amazon the right to purchase $10 million worth of global depository receipts (GDRs) in EFG Hermes Holding, with the option to exchange them for a stake in ValU. The transaction will be finalized during ValU's first trading session on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) at EGP 6.041 per share through a block trading, pending regulatory approvals. Founded in late 2017, ValU is a leading financial services technology platform in Egypt. It provides a range of innovative solutions aimed at enhancing customer quality of life and advancing financial inclusion. Its offerings include investment solutions, cashback services, and savings plans across five segments: U, Business, Aqeed, Flip, and Invest. © 2020-2023 Arab Finance For Information Technology.
