Todd Chrisley's daughter Lindsie Chrisley leans on faith after Trump pardon

Fox News02-06-2025
Lindsie Chrisley is leaning on faith after her father, Todd Chrisley, received a presidential pardon.
The 35-year-old took to Instagram Stories on Sunday where she shared a quote from the prayer group Blessed Is She that read, "See the story of the Lord unfolding." She also linked out to their original post.
"When Peter is confronted in the First Reading, he responds with confidence and tells his story explaining it to them step by step, starting with, 'I was at prayer… ' (Acts 11:4-5)," the post began.
"What follows is a beautiful application of his prayer and confirmation that he was indeed on the right path," it shared. "One can hear the excitement in Peter's voice come through in his words, and feel the conversion of hearts in the listeners who give praise to God. A confrontation became an opportunity to come together and learn from Peter, to see how he was making his decisions and following the direction of the Lord.
"Like Peter, we all have a story to share," the post continued. "Our stories are evolving and unfolding each moment and sometimes we aren't even aware. If we can just pause each day and take a moment to see the story of the Lord unfolding in our midst, we are able to come to a clearer understanding of it all. And that starts with prayer. That must be the beginning of each of our many stories.

"Dear sister, every time we are confronted, we, too, have the opportunity to convert hearts to the truth through our stories. The First Reading today gives us a beautiful template for doing so. We answer the accusation step by step, proclaiming truth and giving evidence of a good and loving God."
"We share our excitement in His direction with honesty, trusting that He will convict them of the truth if we simply share our story step by step," the post concluded.
The "Southern Tea" podcast host, who is Chrisley's eldest child from a previous marriage, previously spoke out about the reality TV receiving a pardon from President Donald Trump.
"With God all things are possible," Lindsie wrote in a post shared on Instagram Stories at the time, as quoted by People magazine.
Lindsie's latest post came on the same day sibling Grayson Chrisley was spotted shopping. The 19-year-old quickly broke his silence after his parents were pardoned.
"PRAISE GOD!!!!" he wrote on his Instagram Stories, as quoted by People magazine. "Thank you Mr President for bringing my family back." In a second post, Grayson reposted a clip of Trump on the phone with his family.
"Trump knows best," he wrote.
Convicted on fraud and tax charges, the "Chrisley Knows Best" star maintained his innocence, saying he and his wife Julie Chrisley were victims of a corrupt prosecution. The patriarch, 56, said they will detail the proof of the wrongful conviction in an upcoming television show.
"We're blessed to have our family back, and we're blessed to be coming back to television because we have a much bigger story to tell now than we ever have," he said at a news conference on Friday.
Trump, 78, pardoned the couple after they served two and a half years of their since-reduced 19-year sentence. The pair reported to prison in January 2023 and remained active in appealing their case.
According to People magazine, Lindsie touched on her ongoing estrangement with the couple on an episode of "Southern Tea."
"The last time I visited my dad probably was... was it the beginning of last year? I can't even honestly remember," Lindsie admitted.
"[Nanny Faye and I] used to go together when they first went [to prison]," she said. "… I have never been to Lexington to visit Julie."
"I have not seen my dad in quite some time, and I have had no contact," said Lindsie. "And that's all I'm going to say for that."

'Skibidi' and 'tradwife': social media words added to Cambridge dictionary

Words popularised by Gen Z and Gen Alpha including "skibidi", "delulu", and "tradwife" are among 6,000 new entries to the online edition of the Cambridge Dictionary over the last year, its publisher said Monday. Cambridge University Press said tradwife, a portmanteau of traditional wife, reflected "a growing, controversial Instagram and TikTok trend that embraces traditional gender roles". The dictionary also took on the challenge of defining skibidi, a word popularised in online memes, as a term which had "different meanings such as cool or bad, or can be used with no real meaning". The gibberish word was spread by a YouTube channel called "Skibidi Toilet" and is associated with the mindless, "brain rot" content found on social media and consumed by Gen Alpha's overwhelmingly digital lifestyle. The dictionary defined delulu, derived from the word delusional, as "believing things that are not real or true, usually because you choose to". As an example, it cited a 2025 speech in parliament where Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese used the phrase "delulu with no solulu". "It's not every day you get to see words like skibidi and delulu make their way into the Cambridge Dictionary," said Colin McIntosh, Lexical Programme manager at the Cambridge Dictionary. "We only add words where we think they'll have staying power. Internet culture is changing the English language and the effect is fascinating to observe and capture in the Dictionary." Other new phrases include "lewk", used to describe a unique fashion look and popularised by RuPaul's Drag Race, and "inspo", short for inspiration. Work from home culture has given rise to "mouse jiggler", referring to a way to pretend to work when you are not. There is also "forever chemical", man-made chemicals that stay in the environment for years and have gained traction as concerns grow about the irreversible impact of climate change on the health of humans and the plant. aks/jxb

Spider Gel Is The Coolest Nail Art Trend

We're always here for a product that makes creating cool nail art insanely easy. Because really, who wants to devote more than 30 minutes to their at-home manicure — or spend hours in a salon waiting for their artist to finish dotting on every last detail with a brush? So, when we found out about " spider gel," an innovative nail art formula sweeping Instagram (that requires almost no tools), we were immediately intrigued. "It gives you the straightest lines you've seen in your life," New York City-based nail artist Julie Kandalec says. "It looks like a really thick gel, and then when you put a little toothpick or something in it, you can draw out a string of the stuff, and drape the gel on the nail." A few strands later and your fingertips are transformed into works of modern art. At a time when nail art is typically about shimmer and bling, Kandalec loves this because it offers an alternative to the sparkly stuff. "This gives the option of a cleaner, more linear look," she says. But she does have one warning: This gel is best used on top of a gel manicure. "I feel like it won't last as long on top of just polish," Kandalec says. "Because you really should use a gel topcoat over it." Available in shades of black, red, gold, silver and more (for $7.95 a pop), consider spider gel the ultimate upgrade to your gel mani. Check out our favourite takes on the trend, and all the ways artists are using it.

Andy Cohen Says Huda Mustafa's Confrontation With Chelley Bissainthe And Olandria Carthen At The ‘Love Island USA' Reunion Was 'Dramatic'

Andy Cohen is teasing some drama that went down at the Love Island USA Season 7 reunion. On Wednesday night's (Aug. 13) episode of Watch What Happens Live, Cohen welcomed Season 7 winners Amaya Espinal and Bryan Arenales, as well as runner-ups Olandria Carthen and Nic Vansteenberghe to the Bravo Clubhouse — just one day after he and Ariana Madix co-hosted the highly anticipated reunion, which is airing on Peacock on Aug. 25. While he didn't give too much away about the reunion, Cohen did reveal that Carthen and Chelley Bissainthe came face-to-face with Huda Mustafa for the first time since they left the villa last month. 'I thought it was interesting that you and Chelley saw Huda for the first time since you left the villa, I think,' Cohen said to Carthen. 'That was pretty dramatic.' There have been a lot of rumors swirling about Mustafa's friendships with the other girls since leaving the villa. While Mustafa is still close with Espinal, some fans noticed that Carthen and Bissainthe both unfollowed her on Instagram after she claimed she felt 'bullied' in several interviews. 'I was trying to navigate the sisterhood thing while doing challenges. Everyone's telling me 'it's just a challenge,'' she told Variety in a July interview. 'People are kissing other people outside of challenges, and everyone's OK with it. I'm doing challenges, and they're giving me side-eye looks and making faces at me.' 'I felt like I was bullied in there 1000%. I felt like I was bullied in the villa,' she continued. 'I'd mentioned this so many times, and we never talked about it. Now out of the villa, I wasn't crazy. I was right about being bullied.' Mustafa was likely referring to the heart rate challenge, during which the Islanders had to perform provocative dances on one another to raise their heart rates. The North Carolina native came under fire for the way she seductively danced on Ace Greene, who was in a couple with Bissainthe. There were even rumors that Mustafa sat on Greene's face in a cut-out moment, which will we find out at the reunion, according to Cohen. 'We showed the extended version of the heart rate challenge, which was revelatory to the group,' he said. 'So, you can look forward to that on the Love Island reunion.' Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursday at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
