Olympique de Marseille keeps an eye on Amine Adli!

Yahoo3 days ago
The Moroccan player has caught the attention of the Marseille board, who are closely monitoring his situation.
Amine Adli
Amine Adli is a profile that strongly interests Olympique de Marseille. The club is exploring new options to bolster its attacking department. According to several reliable sources, the Moroccan international winger from Bayer Leverkusen is highly regarded by the club's management.
Trained at Toulouse FC, Amine Adli had already been linked with Marseille when he left Ligue 1 in 2021. Eventually, he moved to Leverkusen for around €15 million, and the 24-year-old has made impressive progress in the Bundesliga. Crowned German champion in 2024 under Xabi Alonso, he played a key role in his club's historic campaign, despite fierce competition in the attacking ranks. Able to operate on both flanks or behind the striker, Amine Adli is a versatile, technically gifted, and explosive player.
However, last season, Amine Adli saw his playing time decrease at Bayer. This situation opens the door to a potential departure, especially with the prospect of securing a more prominent role elsewhere. That's where OM enters the picture, actively searching for additional attacking solutions. The club is therefore studying the feasibility of a loan or a low-cost transfer. For his part, the player is reportedly open to a return to Ligue 1, and a move to Marseille could provide the visibility he needs ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations and upcoming commitments with the Moroccan national team.
The question remains whether OM can meet Bayer Leverkusen's financial demands, as the German club is under no pressure to sell. A loan with a purchase option could be considered, but the German side might also insist on a permanent transfer in the region of €10 to €15 million.

Bears vs Dolphins Preseason: Inside the snap counts, stats, and more

The most important thing about preseason isn't the final score or even the playing time; it's getting out of there with no serious injuries. The Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins managed to do just that on Sunday afternoon. There were a few players dinged up in yesterday's 24-all tie, but as of yet, none look to be long-term. This was Chicago's first preseason tie since 1973, which also came against the Dolphins. Thankfully, the NFL eliminated preseason overtime in 2021, because no one needs to have a winner in practice games. The game may have ended in a tie, but the Bears outgained the 'Fins (295 yards to 272), had more first downs (22 to 16), and had the time of possession edge (33:10 to 26:50). Miami had an edge in third-down efficiency (43.8% to 42.9%) and fourth-down efficiency (40% to 25%). Both teams held out several starters after letting their number ones get plenty of scrimmage time on Thursday during the joint practice at Halas Hall. The Bears' next preseason game is Sunday, August 17, against the Buffalo Bills, and they'll host a joint practice the 17th. Before we get into some more numbers, here are all the Bears who did not play against the Dolphins. And here is how the Bears started the day on both sides of the ball. Here are the Bears' playing time breakdowns and a few individual stats. Offense With so many players participating for the Bears, I'll split the snap count lists into two for both the offense and the defense. Also, keep in mind that the special teams' snaps in these preseason games are often an indication of the reserve players the coaches have in mind for the third phase. Tyson Bagent got the start, and he went 13 of 19 for 103 yards, with 1 TD and 1 interception for a passer rating of 77.3. He was sacked twice, and he had a nine-yard scramble. Bagent's touchdown pass went to Maurice Alexander, who caught 4 for 19 yards. Rookie tailback Kyle Monangai (5'8', 207) led the Bears with 30 rushing yards on six attempts, and he had a challenging rep in pass protection against 6'4', 268-pound Bradley Chubb. 'Yeah, that's a big human,' Monangai told Zack Pearson of the Bear Report. 'That's what's asked of me in the offensive backfield. If I have to go block a 6-foot, however tall he is, defensive end. I gotta go do it. The chance to go against a Pro Bowl pass rusher like that, it makes me better.' Fellow rookie draft picks Colston Loveland (1 reception for 8 yards) and Luther Burden III (2 for 29) also got in on the action. I'm still working out the formatting kinks of our version of WordPress, so this image may be off. Case Keenum started the third quarter, and he completed 8 of 10 passes for 80 yards, with 2 TDs and a passer rating of 139.6. He had a 2-yard run and was sacked once. Keenum's TD passes went to UDFA running back Deion Hankins (4-yard TD catch), who added 23 rushing yards on 7 attempts, and UDFA wideout Jahdae Walker, who had 3 receptions for 41 yards. Quartrback Austin Reed finished the game going 5 of 10 for 41 yards and a rating of 60.8. Devin Duvernay had 3 catches for 27 yards. Joel Wilson caught 3 for 15. Defense Austin Booker had a fantastic game, racking up 3 of Chicago's 6 sacks. Noah Sewell had 6 tackles and a forced fumble. Rookie linebacker Ruben Hyppolite II had 5 tackles on defense, a tackle for loss, and a tackle on special teams. Corner Tre Flowers had 5 tackles, 2 passes defended, and another tackle in the third phase. Safety Alex Cook had 3 tackles, a sack, a TFL, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. Defensive tackle Zacch Pickens had 3 tackles, a sack, and a TFL. DE Dominique Robinson had 2 tackles, a sack, and a TFL. Corner Josh Blackwell had 2 tackles on D, 2 PD, and 2 special teams' tackles. Special Teams *The above image has players who only played in the third phase. Cairo Santos nailed a 57-yard field goal and an extra point. UDFA kicker Jonathan Kim hit both extra points. Punter Tory Taylor had 3 punts and a 52.3 average (34.0 net), with 1 punt inside the twenty. UDFA WR JP Richardson had a 9-yard punt return and 2 receptions for 7 yards. Duvernay had a 21-yard kickoff return. Monangai and Alexander each had a 22-yard kickoff return, with Alexander adding a 9-yard punt return.. To check out the full Bears vs Dolphins box score, I find that has an easy-to-navigate site. All statistics, snap counts, and accompanying pictures are taken directly from the NFL's Game Statistics and Information System.

Inter focus on Akliouche as possible Lookman alternative

With Atalanta still holding out on Ademola Lookman, L'Equipe report that Inter have asked after AS Monaco winger Maghnes Akliouche. The Nerazzurri still see the Nigeria international as their first choice for the role, but the refusal of Atalanta to consider the €45m offer has prompted them to at least think about some alternatives. Akliouche an expensive option for Inter BOLOGNA, ITALY – NOVEMBER 05: Maghnes Akliouche of AS Monaco competes for the ball with (L-R) Juan Miranda and Remo Freuler of Bologna during the UEFA Champions League 2024/25 League Phase MD4 match between Bologna FC 1909 and AS Monaco at Stadio Renato Dall'Ara on November 05, 2024 in Bologna, Italy. (Photo by) According to French site L'Equipe, one of their targets is Akliouche, a 23-year-old who has six senior caps for France and was part of their Olympic team. He had already been linked with Inter last year. A product of the Monaco youth academy, he progressed to the senior squad and last season contributed an impressive seven goals with 12 assists in 43 competitive appearances. However, if Lookman is considered expensive at €50m, then that is nothing compared to the reported €70m that Monaco wants for Akliouche. His contract with the club runs to June 2028 and he has also been linked with Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City and Liverpool.
