Why Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Skipped Happy Gilmore 2 Premiere
The couple didn't make it to the premiere in New York City, and there's a pretty clear-cut reason why. The Kansas City Chiefs begin their official training camp today, June 22, and the team officially arrived at camp on Sunday. As their own official website put it, "all 90 members of the roster reported to campus on Sunday ahead of the Chiefs' 17 practices in St. Joseph."
In other words, Travis is booked and busy—and will be until training camp ends on August 13.
Travis and Taylor were most recently spotted together in Nashville for the Tight End and Friends concert—where Taylor treated everyone to a surprise performance of "Shake It Off." Other than that iconic night, the couple have been keeping super under-the-radar as Taylor enjoys her time off now that the Eras Tour is over and Travis preps for the upcoming NFL season. A source recently told the Daily Mail that the Chiefs tight end has been "training like crazy" and that he and Tay "are just both decompressing from that go-go-go style of life and enjoying days together with as little stress as possible."
As a reminder, Travis stars in Happy Gilmore 2, and told The Pat McAfee Show that it was "a dream come true," and that "I thought SNL was going to be the peak of my acting and showman or entertainment career … working with Happy Gilmore himself, the Sandman and Happy Productions, it was off the chain."
He added that "They're so professional and yet so fun to work with. I felt like I was working with like the Andy Reid of the acting world. [Sandler] is every bit as cool off the screen as he is on the screen. That was a dream come true. That was awesome."

Patrick Mahomes' early connection with Hollywood Brown fires up Chiefs fans
The post Patrick Mahomes' early connection with Hollywood Brown fires up Chiefs fans appeared first on ClutchPoints. Training camp is officially underway for the Kansas City Chiefs, and it sounds like Patrick Mahomes is building a great rapport with his wide receiver group. Especially with wideout Marquise 'Hollywood' Brown. So much so that the fanbase can't help but be hyped by the video dropped by the organization on Thursday. Mahomes found a wide-open Brown down the middle of the field during the Chiefs' practice. The 28-year-old wide receiver hauled it in for a good gain before being touched by a defender. The Chiefs brought Hollywood Brown back to the roster this offseason after signing him to a one-year, $7 million contract. He was technically on the roster last season as well. However, after suffering a shoulder injury in the preseason opener, the veteran wide receiver only played in two games in the 2024-25 campaign. All things considered, Chiefs fans are seemingly excited to see Brown in action. He has the potential to serve as a solid option in the passing game for Patrick Mahomes, as Brown's speed can be a true difference-maker on the field. 'Need that this season,' said one fan. Another individual said, 'Elite link-up! Mahomes to Jet — poetry in motion.' 'Excited for a full season with [Hollywood Brown],' proclaimed another fan. This user claimed, 'Kansas on top.' Considering the Chiefs are still awaiting an official decision on Rashee Rice's potential suspension, Brown could step in and play a major role in the offense next season. Rice was sentenced to jail, and expectations are that he will be given a suspension. However, it is unclear how many games the star wide receiver could miss. At the very least, Mahomes will have Brown and Xavier Worthy serving as the Top 2 options in the wide receiver room, while tight end Travis Kelce should remain a major factor in the Chiefs' offense. ‘A Star Is Born' producer Lynette Howell Taylor elected president of Oscars org
Veteran producer Lynette Howell Taylor has been elected president of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences. Taylor will succeed Janet Yang in the role, presiding over the organization that puts on the Oscars, film academy CEO Bill Kramer said Thursday. An academy member since 2014, Taylor has served the organization in several high-profile positions, including as vice president and chair of the awards committee. She's also a prolific film producer whose works include 'A Star Is Born' (2018), 'Blue Valentine' and 'The Accountant.' She also produced the 92nd Oscars broadcast. Taylor is now the fifth woman to lead the film academy. The outgoing president, Yang, was elected to the position in 2022 and served in the role for the maximum of three years. Kramer said in a statement that Taylor has been a vital part of the board of governors and singled out how she 'revitalized our awards work.' Several officers were also elected by the board, including actor Lou Diamond Phillips as chair of the equity and inclusion committee and producer Jennifer Fox, who will chair the awards committee. 'This is an exceptional group of Academy members who will advance the Academy's mission, support our membership around the world, ensure our long-term financial stability, and celebrate the achievements of the global filmmaking community,' Kramer said. After years of declining ratings, the Oscars have been on an upswing the past few years. March's broadcast, in which 'Anora' won five Oscars, drew some 19.7 million viewers, a slight uptick from the ceremony the year prior, when 'Oppenheimer' dominated. The organization has already announced that Conan O'Brien will return as host in 2026 and has made several big changes for the future, including adding a stunt design award, starting with films released in 2027, and one for casting directors, which goes into effect this year.
