Fatal car crash on Melvin Hill Rd in Spartanburg Co.
SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A deadly collision was reported off of Melvin Hill Road, about five miles east from Campobello in Spartanburg County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Officers state that at approximately 1 p.m., a 2024 Chevrolet Trax was traveling north on SC 29, when it collided with a 2010 Dodge Ram 3500 pickup truck. The Trax had the driver as the sole occupant, while the Dodge Ram had two.
The driver of the Trax was injured and transferred by EMS to a local hospital. The driver of the Ram was injured and succumbed to their injuries on scene.
The identity of the deceased will soon be released by Spartanburg County Coroner's Office.

MIDLAND COUNTY, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- The Texas Department of Public Safety has identified the victim killed in a crash Monday on State Highway 158 as 54-year-old Cameron C Cook, of Odessa. Around noon on June 9, troopers responded to the area of SH 158 and County Road 1110 and found two vehicles, a Dodge Ram and a Freightliner with a trailer involved in a serious collision; traffic in the area was diverted for hours amid the ongoing investigation. According to a crash report, Cook was traveling westbound on SH 158 near CR 1110 in the left lane; meanwhile, a Freightliner with trailer was also traveling westbound on SH 158 in the left lane and was stopped, waiting to make a left hand turn into a private drive. Investigators said Cook failed to control his speed and rear-ended the trailer. Cook, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. Woman, 25, dies after her electric bicycle zips into Aiken County intersection
A woman riding an electric bicycle in Aiken County died when she was hit by a truck Thursday evening. Cheryl Haynes, 25, was pronounced dead at about 9 p.m. Thursday at a local hospital, according to Aiken County Coroner Darryl Ables. Authorities say Haynes was riding an electric bike on Wagener Trail south of the town of Wagener when she was hit by a 2020 Dodge Ram. Massachusetts State Police trooper seriously hurt in hit-and-run crash on Mass Pike in Chicopee
A Massachusetts State Police trooper was seriously hurt in a hit-and-run crash on the Mass Pike early Tuesday morning. Police said the trooper was "working a motor vehicle stop" on the westbound side of I-90, near exit 51 in Chicopee, around 2:20 a.m. That's when investigators said a driver hit the trooper and drove away. "State Police personnel assigned to Troop B and Fire Officials responded immediately to the scene, closed all westbound lanes, and facilitated transport for the injured Trooper via EMS to Baystate Medical Center, which is a level 1 trauma center," State Police spokesman Tim McGuirk said in a statement. The trooper has not been identified. Police have not released any information yet about the driver or the vehicle that they're looking for. McGuirk said anyone with information regarding the crash should call State Police immediately at 413-505-5993. Chicopee is about 90 miles west of Boston and about 85 miles east of Albany, New York.
