Participating in the Eruvaka programme in Geddapalem village, within the S Rayavaram mandal, Home Minister Anitha engaged in the traditional practice by ploughing the fields alongside party members. Speaking to the media, she underscored the government's prioritisation of agricultural development.
Minister Anitha detailed initiatives aimed at modernising farming practices, mentioning the provision of advanced equipment in line with technological advancements. She noted that farmers are now utilising drones in their agricultural activities, with the government offering an 80 per cent subsidy for drone acquisition. Anitha expressed her hope for prosperous dairy farming in Andhra Pradesh, reinforcing the government's dedication to enhancing the agricultural sector.

In the representation, AP Chambers president Potluri Bhaskara Rao mentioned that the government under the visionary leadership of Naidu has accomplished major milestones, and key projects aimed at propelling the State's economy. 'Under the Chief Minister's leadership, the State government launched Swarna Andhra Vision-2047, and excellent industrial policies. With these initiatives, AP is set on a transformational path of inclusive development, innovation and industrial growth,' Rao said. 'We appreciate the government for its efforts to balance both economic development and welfare. We also appreciate the government for giving importance to Speed of Doing Business. 'The government has given utmost importance to the construction of key projects like Amaravati capital city and Polavaram, which have potential to transform the economic landscape of AP,' Rao hailed. He said although the government has launched many policies to strengthen the MSME ecosystem in the State, MSMEs are facing a lot of hardships due to the rise in production costs, drop in demand due to global economic downturn. 'We urge the government to come to the aid of the MSMEs by releasing the long-pending incentives,' he said. 'We request the government to look into the power charges for industries. The bringing down of charges will offer a big relief to industries,' he said.

VIJAYAWADA: The TDP-led NDA, which not only achieved a 93% strike rate in the 2024 elections but also saw alliance candidates winning by huge margins against the YSRCP, is set to complete its first year in office on June 12, following the formation of the coalition government. Going by the mandate, it is clear that the people had high expectations from the new government. But has it succeeded in fulfilling those aspirations? Given the precarious financial situation the coalition inherited at the outset, it must be acknowledged that fulfilling all promises within a year was no easy task. However, the government, led by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, did manage to increase pensions from Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,000 in its first month in office, in addition to paying Rs 3,000 in arrears to each beneficiary. Similarly, under Deepam-2 scheme, the government began delivering three free LPG cylinders annually to women. Alongside the re-establishment of Anna Canteens to feed the poor, financial aid to fishermen during the fishing ban period was enhanced to Rs 20,000 from Rs 10,000 under the 'Mathsyakara Bharosa' scheme. The State government has also issued orders for the implementation of another flagship scheme, 'Talliki Vandanam,' under which Rs 15,000 will be credited to the accounts of mothers of school-going children starting June 12, 2025. Additionally, the State government has announced that free bus travel scheme for the women will also be implement from August 15 onwards.
