WWE Saturday Night's Main Event: Cody Rhodes returns to foil John Cena's evil plan
WWE Saturday Night's Main Event: Jey Uso defeated Logan Paul at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. The match, however, was anything but a straightforward or clean affair. John Cena interfered and tried to cost 'The Yeet Master' the contest. His plans, however, went for a toss when Cody Rhodes returned to WWE programming.
Cody Rhodes saves the day
Jey Uso put the World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Logan Paul in a match that worked reasonably well given the time constraints associated with the event. Prior to the showdown, John Cena confronted Rikishi's son and taunted him about potentially losing the title to 'The Maverick'. As such, it wasn't much of a surprise when 'The Franchise Player' got involved and tried to deliver a beatdown to Jey.

Things were going as planned for Cena when Rhodes returned to WWE programming and nailed the veteran with a Cross Rhodes. This gave Jey Uso time to recover and hit a splash on Logan Paul for the win. Rhodes then announced that he will be teaming up with Jey Uso to take on Logan Paul and John Cena at Money in the Bank.
In case you did not know, Cena beat Rhodes at WrestleMania 41 with help from Travis Scott to win the Undisputed Championship. Saturday Night's Main Event marked his first appearance on WWE programming since 'The Show of Shows'.
Cena was at his heelish best against R-Truth
Earlier in the night, Cena beat R-Truth after nailing him with a low blow. Post the win, he smashed him in the face with the Undisputed Championship, cementing his standing as a despicable heel.

John Cena's bizarre post after R-Truth release sparks speculation: ‘Are you behind this?'
Ron Killings, popularly known as R-Truth, was released by the WWE on Sunday, he announced on social media. The 53-year-old's tweet came as a surprise to fans, especially since Killings fought John Cena just last week in Saturday Night's main event. Truth wore Cena-like gear for the event and also taunted his 'childhood hero' by making an entry on the 17-time world championship winner's track. However, the Saturday Night bout lasted only a few minutes. John Cena quickly pinned down his opponent for a win. Soon after R-Truth announced his release, Cena posted a bizarre image on Instagram. While random posts are not new for Fast and Furious star, the timing has caused speculation. 'Were you behind the release?' one person asked on social media. 'Go get r truth back cena,' another one added in the comment section. However, there is no connection between R-Truth being released and John Cena. A post shared by John Cena (@johncena) 'Im sorry to inform you all. I just got released from WWE. I want to thank WWE for the ride, but MOSTLY I want to thank each and EVERYONE OF YOU who was along for the ride, Thank you for all the love, support, and appreciation you have given me over the years. Thank you 🙏🏾' Ron Killings announced on X, platform formerly known as Twitter. The feud between R-Truth and John Cena centers on a mix of personal betrayal, contrasting personas, and Cena's heel turn. R-Truth and John Cena have a storied history dating back to 2011, when they clashed over the WWE Championship at Capitol Punishment. Truth, then a heel, challenged Cena's popularity with intense promos, including harassing a young fan, but lost the title match. Their rivalry included two PLE main events and a tag team match at Survivor Series 2011, with Truth holding a 2-1 singles record over Cena before 2025.

R-Truth (Image via WWE) WWE has released yet another star from the company, as revealed by R-Truth aka Ron Killings. R-Truth announces his departure from WWE Seeing his "childhood hero" turn heel and getting to fight against him on the big stage was probably one of the best ways for R-Truth to say goodbye to the squared ring at WWE. He took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to reveal the news of his exit from the company. They had previously let him know that WWW would not be renewing his contract upon it expiring, which was his second tryst with the company. He thanked the company and his fans, "who was along for the ride," and "the love, support, and appreciation" he has gotten from everyone over the years. While it is sad indeed that Killings would be leaving the Stamford-based promotion after so many years, given that his "childhood hero" is currently on his "Farewell Tour," this is probably the best time for him to leave the company as well. Or at least something that he wants. Rhea Ripley comments on this "heartbreaking" news Rhea Ripley , one of the biggest stars in the company's current roster, is right there with the fans, who are understandably sad to see R-Truth leave. She left a sweet comment under Killings' post on X, sharing the fans' heartbreak over the recent revelation. She also thanked the wrestler, who has always been one of the biggest spots of fun and laughter within the company. She is not the only one; many other wrestling stars from different promotions have taken to their social media to thank R-Truth for everything he brought to the table. From Kelani Jordan, who is an NXT superstar, to fellow SmackDown star Carmelo Hayeys to AEW's RICOCHET, many have shared their thoughts on R-Truth after his exit was made public.
