The action comes after a complaint alleging that she featured in obscene films and advertisements for commercial purposes. It was initially submitted to the Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Court, which subsequently directed the local police to take action. Following the court's directive, an FIR was registered against Menon. (Image: Instagram) The charges include provisions under the Prevention of Obscenity Act, the Information Technology Act, and Sections 3 and 5 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act. The FIR alleges that certain films and advertisements featuring Menon contained vulgar content and were allegedly used for financial gain. In 2004, she was charged with insulting the Indian flag at a fashion show, where Menon walked the ramp allegedly with the Indian tricolour wrapped around her body. She also allowed her delivery to be recorded for the film Kalimannu (2013). The Kerala Film Exhibitors condemned the act for commercializing the most private affair of a woman.
