Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Jacob Misiorowski made his major league debut on June 12th against the St. Louis Cardinals and immediately impressed with a hitless outing over five scoreless innings in a 6-0 victory.

Misiorowski committed to LSU but opted to turn pro after the Brewers selected him out of Crowder College in Neosho, Missouri, in the second round of the 2022 draft.
Today, former LSU Tiger and No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft, Pittsburgh Pirate ace Paul Skenes, faced off against Misiorowski in front of a sellout crowd at American Family Field in a highly-anticipated matchup.

Misiorowski outdueled the 2024 National League Rookie of the Year in a 4-2 victory, tossing five scoreless innings and striking out eight, while Skenes lasted just four frames and allowed four runs in his shortest outing of the season.

Afterward, MLB posted on X declaring, 'Jacob Misiorowski came to PLAY,' and posted the rookie's stats from his most recent outing.
Misiorowski set a career high with eight strikeouts, and opposing batters are now hitting an absurd .030 against him.
Through three starts, Misiorowski is 3–0 with a 1.13 ERA, punching out 19 hitters over 16 innings. He has also fired five pitches at 102 mph or harder this season, ranking fourth among all major‐league starters since 2008 including the postseason, per Statcast.
The timing couldn't be better for Milwaukee. Last year the Brewers captured the NL Central crown, and this season they find themselves two games behind the Chicago Cubs atop the division. Milwaukee's current 18–8 surge over its last 26 games is the best stretch in baseball, and Misiorowski's emergence only enhances their push to reclaim first place.

Michael Scotto of HoopsHype would also mention those teams, but also put out the 'possibility' that Kuminga remains with the Warriors, despite some signs pointing to a departure. 'Kuminga is looking for an expanded and consistent role moving forward, league sources told HoopsHype,' Scotto wrote. 'The Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat are two teams to monitor as potential sign-and-trade candidates for Kuminga, league sources told HoopsHype. With that in mind, the Warriors have also not ruled out the possibility of retaining Kuminga, sources said.' At any rate, it remains to be seen what Kuminga's future looks like, but fans will likely know more once Durant is dealt soon.
