As Saiyaara crossed the Rs 300 crore-mark in India, debutant Ahaan Panday 's mother, Deanne Panday, took to social media to share a heartfelt tribute to casting director Shanoo Sharma. This came amid heavy criticism of Sharma's unconventional casting methods.
Following the blockbuster success of Mohit Suri's romantic saga, the cast and crew gathered in Mumbai to celebrate at a success party. After the event, Deanne Panday posted a series of unseen pictures from the celebration along with a touching note appreciating Shanoo Sharma's work.

Shanoo Sharma Casting Allegations
Deanne's praise came at a time when various Bollywood celebrities are criticising Shanoo Sharma's casting process. Mirzapur actress Isha Talwar publicly called her out for the 'weird" casting process. She revealed that almost a decade ago, she had gone to meet Shanoo for a casting call when the latter asked her to start crying in the middle of a busy café. 'It was such a confusing/weird task… It shattered my confidence as a young girl in films," she shared on Instagram.
Later, Mary Kom actor Bijou Thaangjam also opened up about a similar situation when Shanoo had asked him to perform a scene right in front of a café, but he refused to do so. The actor further revealed it was his very first film audition for Byomkesh Bakshy, but later he made his debut in Mary Kom opposite Priyanka Chopra.

Coolie Opens To India Gross Collections Of Rs 75 Crore Plus, With Around Rs 30 Crore From Tamil Nadu The home state collections of Coolie, look to be in the vicinity of Rs 30 crore, only under Beast and Leo. The extended weekend though, should propel the movie to a very safe position. Despite the mixed reception, it is likely to end as one of the top 5 Kollywood grossers of all time. For those who don't know, the highest grossing Kollywood film record remains with Rajinkanth 's 2.0. Rajinikanth is already busy with his next movie Jailer 2.
