Made up of Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin, Motor City Machine Guns have been one of the most beloved and respected tag teams in professional wrestling.
First debuting in 2006, MCMG first started garnering attention as part of TNA before appearing in other promotions like Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

Surprisingly, MCMG joined WWE in September 2024 and quickly established themselves in the tag team division, winning the WWE Tag Team Championship in October.
Despite this, Shelley and Sabin were absent from WrestleMania 41, and the WWE Tag Team Championship wasn't represented at all.
Instead, they had a classic Tables, Ladders, and Chairs (TLC) match for the championship against The Street Profits and #DIY on SmackDown.

Needless to say, fans were upset that the match wasn't featured on WrestleMania. However, Shelley and Sabin seemed perfectly ok with missing the event during an appearance on SHAK Wrestling.
In fact, there weren't any plans to have the match at WrestleMania to begin with.

"If there was I knew nothing of it, we didn't know till the week before on SmackDown," Sabin said. "They told us, 'Next week we're going to do a TLC match,' and that was the first I heard of it. So if there was, I was not part of those talks and did not hear anything about it."
"Yeah, we had so much going on WrestleMania weekend before and after SmackDown. That if the conversations were had, it didn't reach us," Shelley agreed. "Quite frankly, we wouldn't have cared one way or the other, because we're going to wrestle our asses off no matter where it's at."
That being said, both members of MCMG appreciated the support from fans.
"I mean, I just think it showed that the fans cared, which is a good thing," Sabin explained. "Because that SmackDown was in Las Vegas, which is where WrestleMania was.
"So many of the same fans that were at that SmackDown were going to go to WrestleMania so they kind of thought. Maybe, 'Oh, they don't get to see the match live.'
"So, you know, but that just showed that they cared. And then to see the response that we had from the fans and everyone after the match like that I think it worked out the way it was meant to work out, and I was very happy with everything. I wouldn't change a thing."

"Yeah, and I think it's in one ear, out the other. It's nice that we got these accolades," Shelley said. "But at the same time, those are done with, and they don't benefit us going forward. So we got to stay grounded. We got to stay humble, we got to work even harder, because if there's another one, you better believe we're going to want to top it."
In the end, Motor City Machine Guns and the other teams in the TLC match did prove one thing: they are some of the best teams in the business and they are more than deserving to be at WrestleMania next year.

Seth Rollins comes up with a new nickname for Jacob Fatu
Tonight's (June 6) episode of SmackDown kicked off with Seth Rollins cutting a promo in the ring (accompanied by Bronson Reed, Bron Breakker, and Paul Heyman) where he said he will take full control of WWE when he wins the Money in the Bank ladder match this weekend. Rollins spent some time early on addressing Roman Reigns' latest absence from WWE, perhaps foreshadowing an imminent return for the OTC. But the meat of the segment involved Solo Sikoa, JC Mateo, and Jacob Fatu coming out to confront Seth and his crew after Rollins said nobody can stand up to them. Advertisement Solo picked apart Seth's new stable as Bloodline wannabes, going so far as to say Bronson Reed must be their Honorary Uce. Rollins fired back by leaning into the current tension between Solo and Jacob. He wondered why Jacob was so quiet, and said maybe his 'Samoan Werewolf' nickname should be replaced by a more accurate one: 'Solo's bitch.' Those are fightin' words, and it quickly led to another staredown between Fatu and Breakker. Seth pulled Bron out of there before things could escalate, but you know that's a major match that's happening sometime down the line. Ricky Saints Confirms Current NXT Star Is Also Working As A Coach In WWE
Ricky Saints is learning quite a bit in NXT. WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard spoke with Saints at WrestleMania Media Day about his journey to NXT. Saints may be new to WWE. However, he has more than a decade of experience in the wrestling business, including stops in the NWA and AEW. When asked if there's a match that gives WWE fans a good idea of who he is as a performer, he had two in mind. Advertisement 'Maybe the one in NXT would be when I won the [NXT North American] title [from Shawn Spears in April 2025]. That'd be a top one,' Saints said. 'Anything beyond that, me versus Bryan Danielson for sure.' Saints, as Ricky Starks, competed in two singles matches against Bryan Danielson in AEW. They first squared off in a No Disqualification Strap Match at All Out 2023, and later had a brutal Texas Death Match on the September 23, 2023, episode of AEW Collision. Ricky Saints confirms Shawn Spears is coaching in NXT Ricky Saints was also asked if there was anyone in WWE that became a positive influence that he perhaps wasn't expecting to learn from. Saints disagreed with the sentiment and said everyone he's worked with has taught him a lot, including Shawn Spears. Advertisement 'No, because I feel like that discredits them,' Saints explained. 'Every person that has come to me and talked to me — Terry Taylor, Fit Finlay, Matt Bloom — have been nothing but a wealth of knowledge. Shawn Spears also is a coach there and is very knowledgeable once you listen. For all his faults, he does have some good knowledge as well.' Saints agreed that Spears might be underappreciated by some. Fans have gotten a better look at what Spears offers in his return to NXT. Spears continues to wrestle in NXT too, as a member of The Culling stable. His last match was a six-man tag team match at WWE Battleground 2025. Zelina Vega Debunks Rumor That She Has Heat With This AEW Star
Zelina Vega is clearing the air over the belief that she has heat with a top star in AEW. WWE Women's United States Champion Zelina Vega was a recent guest on Ring The Belle. When asked about the rumors that she has heat with TBS Champion Mercedes Moné, Vega said that the two never had any beef. Advertisement 'So when it comes to me and Mercedes, we never had any beef,' Zelina Vega said. 'That's what's so funny. Back in the day, I had done an interview, which I remember talking to Naomi about this a long, long time ago. I was like, it'd be really cool to get, cause I had known her prior for a while. 'So it was like, to get into, like, a thing with her. Like, hopefully we can get into something and WWE. Like, my brain was, I need to get to WWE any way possible. She's one of the top girls. I want to get in the ring with her she's dope, I want to do this. She was cool with it. People use that clip as, like, oh, my God, they've had beef for forever, blah, blah, blah, and I'm like, I love that I convinced you all of that. I love that for me. 'But no none of us have ever had any beef. It's so funny to me that I'm the common denominator between all of the beef, apparently. I'm just like, well. She trains with my cousin. Like, what? They're trying to find any little thing. Like, if I genuinely hated somebody, do you think I'd be cool with that?'
