UP Board Class 10th, 12th Compartment Exam 2025: The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) will now conduct the Class 10 (High School) and Class 12 (Intermediate) compartment and improvement exams on July 26, 2025. These exams are for students who were either placed in the compartment category or were not satisfied with their results. The exams were earlier scheduled for July 19, but the date was revised due to the expected heavy footfall of devotees during the Kanwar Yatra.
This year, a total of 25,45,815 students appeared for the Class 10 exams, of which 22,94,122 passed. In Class 12, 25,98,560 students took the exam and 21,08,774 cleared it. Students who failed or want to improve their scores can take part in the upcoming compartment or improvement exams.
Exam Timing And Internal Assessment Rules
The compartment exams will be held in two shifts:
Students appearing for subjects that include practical or project work must take both the written and internal assessment parts of the exam. Even if a student passed one part and failed the other, they must appear for both parts again to qualify.

Kanpur: The students of the Indian Institute of Technology-Kanpur performed the rituals of Kanwar Yatra and jalabhishek of Lord Shiv after collecting the Ganga water from Sarsaiya Ghat on Sunday. The students reached Sarsaiya Ghat with kanwars and took holy dip in the Ganga on Sunday. They then collected the Gangajal and travelled on foot to Anandeshwar Temple in Parmat with kanwars for jalabhishek of Lord Shiv amid chants of 'Har Har Mahadev, Bam Bam Bhole.' The Kanwar Yatra was flagged off by mahant of Siddhanath Temple Arun Puri Maharaj. On reaching Parmat, the students joined the queue of devotees and performed jalabhishek, with all rituals and offered prayers at the temple. Around 50 students, including alumni, participated in this Kanwar Yatra.

Hariyali Teej 2025 puja rituals and traditions The celebrations of Hariyali Teej begin at sunrise, with women dressing in vibrant green or red sarees, adorning themselves with traditional shringar, colourful bangles, and intricate mehendi designs. A beautifully decorated idol of Goddess Parvati is placed on an altar surrounded by offerings like flowers, sweets, and coconuts. The puja starts with lighting a diya and singing devotional songs in praise of the goddess. Married women observe a nirjala vrat, a fast without food or water, praying for their husbands' health and long life. Unmarried girls also fast, hoping to be blessed with a good life partner. The day is marked by joyful celebrations, with traditional songs, dance, and women enjoying swings (jhoolas) decorated in bright colours, reflecting the festive spirit of the monsoon.
